Few robbers went to a house to loot, the man of the house pulled out AK47, the robbers run with fear.
After few hrs police came to the house , and asked the man that they came to know that he is holding illegal AK47...to which the man said that it is fake to protect from thieves....the police left...
After few hrs the robbers returned back and said that they came to know that he is holding fake AK47, and looted the house....🙂

I have experienced mobile snatching for 5..6 times. I left Karachi in 2012. Its sad to see its the same situation after 10 years. But I love Karachi and miss my city alot. I know it has the ability to bounce back and prosper, if given some period of peace.
Once stealing works in scale, people stop producing to earn...

I remember when I got out of my institute after taking an evening class. It was around Maghrib and I was heading to get to my ride a couple of blocks away and my classmate on a bike -- who sat the very next row to me -- stopped near me. He was wearing a helmet. I legit hand him my phone without asking. He took my phone, got off of his bike, took the helmet off, and laughed his ass off. Sheesh!

Almost all the top UA-camrs in Karachi have been the victims of street crimes in just past 2 months, and some made videos about it too, but until everyone speaks together no one in government listens.

On this Saturday, I have seen & counted 200 police mobiles (with force) on VIP duties whereas at least 02 political parties were conducting a political gathering (Jalsa) nearby to Sindh Secretariate. Karachi & Karachiats are undergoing the darkest times of their history altogether. Everyone knows who the culprit is. Best wishes for the future of this deprived city.

Can totally relate to all what u r saying ! I One if the reasons I left Karachi for good … I was outside my own gate when two guys came with the gun asking for my gold bengals and for a moment I couldn’t understand that what’s going on ! I actually thought that he’s asking for the address … if my sister in law who was holding my baby and screaming that give him Nadia what he’s asking for I would have been dead too !!! It wasn’t not about the bengals it’s the trauma u suffer later on … the fear the insecurity … I can never forget the face of that guy and of course he will face the wrath on the day of judgement and I’ll never forgive him for making me go through it but yeah that’s how it’s … that still I remember Karachi for all that depression it had given to me in those years

This ☝️one of the main reasons i left karachi, after 3 times of snatching within a period of 3 months and absolute lack of interest from law enforcers. I decided its enough, karachi is an amazing city but its not worth losing your life over in a snatching some day, and no one would bat an eye. - The second reason is filth everywhere you go. Thankyou PPP for doing nothing all these decades.

Thank you for raising voice for that. Literally I've postponed my visit for Karachi from Lahore to this uncertain situation. People are dying and threaten to worst level. Even it takes so much time to recover from post-incident trauma. I still remember 2017 when I visited Karachi alone and covered most places without any fear but later I was asked how did you managed to escape without getting loot. May Allah protect us all. Aameen.
When law and enforcement authorities become criminals themselves, this the end result...it is impossible to believe or imagine that provincial and federal government combined are unable to resolve security issues. However, if they are getting their own percentage behind each crime then why would they even think to control it!

I was going to my university and was carrying a handbag on my right shoulder (I decided not to take the backpack that day). Right behind me came two people, a man and a woman on the bike and they just grabbed the strap of the my bag and ran away. I was lucky enough that the bag dropped on the road and they left with the strap only. But I literally got so traumatized after that incident. Every other motobike scares the shit outta me.

I live near a Masjid and once during Friday prayers, my car was parked right in front of my house. Came back from the prayer to see the car side mirrors and entertainment system were stolen. So yeah Karachi is pretty fucked up
I know a guy jiska laptop back seat pe parra nazar araha tha (laptop bag). Pehle wo chori kia, phir entertainment system bhi nikala aur phir battery bhi legaye. Side mirrors unhon ne choti gaari k lagwaye huay thay.

When I used to live in Pakistan, I literally saw, two men robbing a guy who was cashing his money out. The police mobile was parked outside the bank, with policemen sitting inside. I was with my mother that time, I told her that a guy was getting robbed, and we should inform the police officers I was like 15, I guess. She asked me to keep quiet and told me lower my gaze. When we went home, I asked her why she didn't let them know. She told me that they were involved in the robbery and were guarding the robbers. She stopped me because I was about to put our lives at sake.

The first thing to do is to have a strong vetting process for motorbike owners. Concerned dept. should have a detailed information of every single motorbike owner, and if someone submits a report of a stolen bike then that should be dealt with immediately. Sadly, these rules are already there but, people in the offices are sleeping. Sleep you may, but soon you will be on the receiving end as well.
And who is going to supply the manpower and finances to vet the millions and millions of buyers?

I am living in Karachi and that each word is absolute truth. Now snatching is not fulfilling their demands, robbery is also taking peak. Now we are not only under stress on the road but also inside our houses.

Left Khi in 2010 after experiencing a back breaking home invasion that bought us to our knees. I didn't even mind my cellphone being snatched every 2 to 4 weeks , I accepted that as the cost of living in the ever vibrant city of lights. Sad to see the situation is still the same if not worse.

Further, the crux of my comment was that we are asked to pay alot of taxes but in return we are not getting anything much against such taxes..

I was in Karachi 8 months ago and my friends there were in denial about rising street crimes, while I knew the situation was deteriorating. I never understood such denials. Even 6 months ago, passengers to/from airport were being looted, but again people were in denial. I will be flying to Karachi in a week again, and now I'm even scared of taking taxi from the airport to my destination as it will be late night.
İt will be better to travel with a friend or a cousin ...and if not...than the very last option should be an uber....but still be careful...May Allah save all of us from any harm...ameen

3 Days ago I went to masjid to offer Esha prayer with one of my friend on coming back to home 2 guys ( mist probably Afghani or Saraiki , sorry to say) came took out pistol and put in my stomach and said (Fatafat mobile nikalo), I said I am empty I dont have any thing he got angry and said ( Bahany ni bana dono ka sar kholdunga ) I was realising that this is my last breath I thank to Allah that my friend often used to carry key pard mobile due to which we got back to home , now 2 days have passed cant revive my gust to pray Esha prayer again in mosque conclusion is that This is an Islamic State where we cant go to mosque for a reason that we are not guaranteed that we'll ever be back💔

Same happened to me while going to University. I was going through street and a boy on bike moving his bike accross the street and I was in my own hurry to go university. I didn't pay attention to it. And suddenly a girl walking beside me, said don't go their, he is a Snachter. And literally we both girls really got afraid and in a very hurry we go back literally my hands shivering and we choose another way to reach the main stop.
And now I always feel unsafe specily while when I am alone in streets.

Junaid bhai it's not only Karachi. In 2021 Ramzan I was compromised in Islamabad by 6 street robbers at around 10:30PM on the main G-11 Ibn-e-Sina Road. The surprising fact is that all the snatchers were young teenagers. With the help of Almighty Allah, I managed to escape as soon as one of them pulled the chamber. This is not it, on 16 January 2022 our brand new Corolla Gli was stollen at morning 6AM, but who cares?
It's really sad to see the current situation of our country. No one (the authorities) cares about us or the inflation or the economy.

This is just terrifying. I live in Mumbai, and my dad used to say that there was a lot of crime in late 80s and 90s, there was some underworld activity going on. But even that wasn't this bad. People used to roam around freely. There was no guns involved. i haven't seen a single gun in my life in the hands of civilians. Not saying theft, robbery, doesn't happen in Mumbai and its as safe as Singapore. Mumbai has problems, there is some crime still. But no one is scared to not go out. We roam on the streets drinking soda and eating ice cream at 12 Am without any fear. Even the worst neighbourhood of Mumbai must be better than what you are describing karachi is. And this video is 1 year ago, i am assuming situation is even worse now.

I had my phone snatched 3 times over the years living student life in Karachi with non existent public transport. Also once got phone stolen in minibus (via pick pocketing), got super aware after that and later caught 1 guy who was trying to take my phone out of pocket with 2-3 guys assisting him by deliberately crowding the minibus door (when reaching destination stop and stepping out of bus)
The feeling he descibes is very real. You have to be constantly aware of your surroundings and can't go out without this constant nagging feeling in your head that you can be robbed

i am currently living in china, yesterday night i forgot my iphone 11 on my bike and came home after 5-10 minutes i realized and went downstairs the mobile was still there. next month i am coming to karachi ...... haha i have to change my habits and definitely have to change mobile.

I see your point and could relate to it. I left the country a while back knowing that things would never improve in Karachi. Given the incompetency of the Sind government that seems to have no stake in the city, nothing good was expected. MQM also did not do any favors for over two decades when they governed the city. Even the hope and the prayers seem to be the useless thing to do. This city feeds everyone who comes from other parts of the country but no ones feeds its belly. It's a shame!
