The guy could have easily had a somewhat reasonable point if Capcom used the likeness of real people as face models for SF6 (they might have, I don't know) and that might also be why Capcom is against nude mods in Resident Evil since they do kinda need to tell their face models "Modders likely will make a nude mod of this character with your face," which could impact their potential partners. Instead he went for the craziest take.
Because he just wants to virtue signal over nothing. Since you spoke about the nude mods, that makes sense not just because of the likeness of the actors, there was an actual issue with Resident Evil 2 remake having nude mods of Sherry who was a kid at the time
@@Ramsey276one Certainly true but it should probably be something that is discussed in the talent-seeking process. If, for nothing else, legal protections. There likely is a case to be made if someone is doing a project with your likeness in it and does not say that the project might lead to breaches in privacy akin to Blender porn that the actor could litigate against the company. It's just best practice to account for that, but being explicit about it might actually turn some people away from the contract. Just because seeing it in writing makes it more tangible than just knowing it's likely to happen.
Reminds me of a reply to the idea the "stuffed in the fridge" trope. No matter if it's Gwen Stacy or Bruce Wayne's parents, these characters can be killed if the writer wants that. These things are concepts, not real people. You can't bring them down by objectifying them, because that is all they are at best.

I mention this before that I remember I had somewhat of a similar argument with somebody when I didn't agree to view fictional characters like they do, and I told them that I'll care when they proved that fictional characters are sentient. And, in order to win the argument, he straight up told me that they were. I just moved on from that because if someone is willing to believe that fictional characters have sentience then there's no real argument to have, because these people either have some serious mental problems or it's so important to "own" someone in an argument that they have to pretend to be clinically insane. They literally sound just like the politicians and media talkin about violent video games just to drum up attention or get you to care about their personal feelings. Oh and FYI, that image you scroll down to was an old h-game called Rapelay. It was the only h-game that I know of that was literally banned in some countries for living up to its namesake. I played it before and it was interesting, but there are far more h games out there with worst themes than that so it's mild in comparison. To all those reading this, you're welcome.

That's a westerner issue. Japanese Twitter is not involved with it, but the westerners dragged it anyways.
I'm sorry, but there's moments where I broke my brain more than only Twitter.
Yeah seriously how do they feed themselves if they are online 18 hrs a day 😂
The statement "Characters can't consent, you're all disgusting" should only be replied to with "Fiction isn't reality, you need help"
Along with the ever popular "Go touch grass!"
He's putting way too much effort into arguing with people who disagree with him for me to believe he's a troll... which is scary because that means he genuinely believes in what he's saying.
Fictional characters also don't care if you sexualise them
With that take, I don't think OP has the brain capacity to consent either.
You know what's funny these people are the same people that believe that their husbando and waifus are real and should be treated as such and they are even worse than those people
It's sad to see people can't differentiate between real and fictional characters. When I was 5 playing grand theft auto my brother asked me: Do you think the people you are killing are real? And I simply responded with: No of course not this is a game they don't exist.
Since you spoke about the nude mods, that makes sense not just because of the likeness of the actors, there was an actual issue with Resident Evil 2 remake having nude mods of Sherry who was a kid at the time
Any MoCap/voice actor/model that hasn't realized they will be R34'd is a bit too naive or inexperienced
@@Saltedroastedcaramelayooooo I forgot abt that mess 💀 mfs weird asf for doing all that
@@Ramsey276onedoesn't justify it especially when Sherry fell victim to that too
@@Ramsey276one Certainly true but it should probably be something that is discussed in the talent-seeking process.
I honestly think more tournaments should be run this way. Helps ensure the characters dont bring any hidden weapons.
"Never argue with with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." - Mark Twain
Guess the tables are turned. Back then they said my waifus aren't real and will never love me. Now they say my waifus are real and have rights.
Twitter will never stop being a clown fest over fictional character.
To answer the question as to why Chun Li gets so many costumes, She is called the First Lady of Fighting for a reason.
And as usual, I promise this is one of those "people" who are okay with Cuties.
I bet you’re right
"It's okay guys, they're just sexualizing real children to show that sexualizing children is wrong!"
And the CW Powerpuff Girls.
He does mention liking pizza in his bio. Not weird in itself but weird to put in your bio.
"Fictional characters can't consent."
You know what else they can't do? They can't do an alive.
The things that happen on X is wild.
They got rejected by a fictional character in a dream for being creepy
dear twitter users google the definition of fiction
And the floor never said "step on me." I still do it
Reminds me of a reply to the idea the "stuffed in the fridge" trope. No matter if it's Gwen Stacy or Bruce Wayne's parents, these characters can be killed if the writer wants that. These things are concepts, not real people. You can't bring them down by objectifying them, because that is all they are at best.
Internet conspiracies have made me suspicious of anyone who puts pizza in their bio.
Arguing for "people" that don't exist. Did they get consent to fight on their behalf?
I like how some People try to be Smart & claim to have Morals, but then They have some sort of Mental Faults Themselves..
You'd think that ability to distinguish fiction and reality is something common that you learn about the age 3 or 4.
But looking at modern day... I get the impression that this is indeed an incredibly rare skill that basically equates to super-power at this stage.
Moral high ground no fun allowed is out of control 😂
as an artist, i have every right over the "consent" of my original characters (OC) which i do not need permission for because they're mine to begin with. additionally western poison has no right to tell us what we can or cannot do when they dont even know the legalities or culture behind H and why fan-art and doujinshi's are perfectly allowed in every part of japans culture.
Fact:
Its the Internet, people can do (almost) whatever they want
I'm lewding Mitsuri Kanroji right now as we speak. Almost done with her rule 34 😂
The Cell reaction was the best part, like I'm sure it was consensual when he vored 17 and 18.
Well I guess if fictional characters can’t consent then it’s completely legal to use force. Finally someone validated my bondage and forced pleasure art collection.
Necessity is the mother of Invention...and Wish Fulfillment is the 'creepy uncle' that noone likes to talk about. ~_^
This guy would shut down a kids lemonade stand for not having a business permit.
-Noooo!!! you can’t do a lewd drawing of that fictional character, she can´t consent!!!
-My guy, she’s a cartoon, she doesn’t even exist 💀
Reminds me of that black mirror episode “The Waldo Moment”
We need more Hero Hei drinking coffee ASMR
I'm in lost on how they treat fictional characters to be "alive".
So X (Twatter) is off their meds again? Good grief, they need a stronger dose! 😂
🤦♀️ even reading the thumbnail text just... good freaking grief
They're FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, they're NOT REAL. Its FANTASY. If you are this wound up about a fictional character PLEASE seek therapy and interact with physical people.
This is legit. I’ve killed my OC, now I’m being investigated for murder
I also played GTA and now I'm being arrested because video games cause violence. Wait a second...
Ah yes, we wouldn't want to hurt the feelings of the major corporations by sexualizing their characters.
“The characters can't consent”
Damn, they go this hard for people made out of ink/pixels.
Ok i know there was an issue with companies when rule34 artists where just ripping the characters code from the game itself. Which i kinda get.
That being said the only thing, even those artists/modders agree on, is not to use the voice actors actual voice in it.
Saying fictional characters need consent is the same as saying your s*x toy needs to give consent. Its not a real person ffs.
Since when can drawings consent?
Welp fellas, you heard it here first. If you ever imagined a fake partner in your head, you're evil! EVIL!
"in order to win the argument, he straight up told me that they were" in the movies, this is where you run
"Steet fighter is not sexual."
Ryona video creators : Hold my clips.
these people, make the task of AI to surpass human intelligence seem like a breeze
Never thought I would hear the words 'consent' and 'fictional' in the same sentence.
"playing the video game as designed".
Well, given that I "redesign" a character to be naked, what's the difference? We going to bring copyright law into the argument?
As much as I really really want to think this is just trolling (although these days it really is becoming harder and harder to tell the difference between that and a real opinion.) I have to say if this is even slightly real and slightly genuine these are the people that will totally screw us by believing that AI deserves autonomy and personhood. These people would doom the entire human race in an instant just to be morally right on a platform that has shown more times than not nothing could be further from the truth.
And here I thought 'women under 5 feet are MiNoR-CoDeD' was the most Westoid Twitter thing ever...
...you know why they can't consent mate? CAUSE THEY AIN'T REAL!
Remember when suspension of disbelief was a thing? Fiction is not require to adhere to the real world. In fact, the purpose of fiction is get around the rules of the real world.
I support debating different opinions, it's just that, people really have to stop struggling to argue against ridiculous speeches like that lmao
Like, you don't need to make an effort to argue against it, the speech itself already argues against itself as ridiculous as it is.
Just make fun of this kind of people, save your energy to discuss and argue against important things.
Most of the problems that arise from these kinds of issues is people can’t distinguish fiction from reality.
Dude without a doubt has a skeleton, no, a whole graveyard stuffed in his closet.
His bio does say he likes pizza. Not weird on its own but definitely an odd thing to put in your bio.
To literally everyone like this: Stop treating fictional characters like real people.
