This is what everything has been building towards all season. After 10 events, the World Title will be decided in a one-day, winner-take-all event. The top five men and top five women enter, and after 12 must-see heats, one male and female surfer will rise from Lower Trestles as this year’s World Champions.

Possibly the most satisfying heat to watch all year. All season they rewarded Chianca for throwing his arms around an exaggerating his body torque to milk a few extra points. So happy to see power surfing controlled defeat power surfing exaggerated. The judges fell for it all season but they couldn't fall for it here. The difference was clear and I hope it sets the standard for what gets rewarded in 2024.
