My instructor told me there were 2 cat stance knife hands after the hook blocks and knife hand lows

You are missing the double knife hand block (movement 8 and 9) before the scooping hand. I recommend you to rep upload the video.

I think he is missing two techniques. after the second hooking block and low section knife hand block, are you not supposed to do two knife blocks in a cat stance?

if only that would be the only thing he did wrong... Not even one correct stance...

This was amazing, genuinely one of the most helpful pattern videos I've seen. Tbh even my instructors aren't this thorough.
Edit: after reading through the comments I realize that although you're thorough you're also practicing the pattern nearly completely wrong. I wish I could use this video to study but now I have to find something different. Please fix this video and upload the proper performance, you're not helping anyone by keeping this up.

I previously posted here regarding the rudeness of some of the comments (some now deleted). After Mark's response below I went and watched this other instructional videos by the same 'master', and I've rethought my position. They are very bad, and I can see why people were upset, so I've removed my complaint and posted this instead!
This is not the correct way to perform Kwang Gae.

Les, while you are correct about some points in your post, I must say that TKD isn't plagued with bad attitudes but it is plagued with lousy practitioners, like this guy. He professes to hold the rank of 6th Dan AND makes his technique public and thus is fair game for criticism on UA-cam. I agree with a great many comments about this video...it should be taken down. This guy SUCKS

Incorrect way to perform Kwang-Gae for sure. Missing 2 moves, wrong foot to start, and doesn’t twist the foot after front kick to go the opposite way.

are u not suppost to land on your spot where you started because every time I do it the way u do it I don't end up back on my spot. is that normal?

Not necessarily, the first few forms of Chang Hon will finish in the same place as the start. However, most will not finish in the same place.

SugarCube22 ummmmm this is for 2nd DAN, so I doubt this was of any help with getting your 1st DAN, especially since he missed 2 elements and his execution itself is horrible

History time: The Royal Order of Korea was the special forces division of the South Korean Military during the Vietnam War. Bu Kwang Park and Kang Ik Mu (who defeated bruce lee in an instant despite being five years younger than him) were in command of it. General Choi was very impressed by Bu Kwang Park, so he submitted authority over all of Tae-Kwon-Do to him. President Park Chung Hee felt that General Choi was gaining too much popularity, so he worked with the general's son to form a coup against General Choi and the Royal Order of Korea. This is why most TKD in South Korea today is the WTF kind, and also why it appears to be so terrible. Fast forward to today, and it is forbidden to speak of General Choi in South Korea. You were right about only one thing: this is not the ITF you are thinking of. If it was, it would have not so easily enabled me to one shot tall, strong ROK Marines and pick apart Green Berets, ROK soliders, and overwhelm red belts in Brazialin Jiu Jitsu, tenth degrees in Okinawan Karate, etc. within a moment's worth of time. We are hated wherever we go on account of being born-again Christian believers, though this is also why I felt nothing from getting struck at full force by a boxer who sent a six hundred pound bag flying to the ceiling at the age of fourteen and is far stronger, faster, and more experienced now. Oh, and by the way, my first MMA fight: this specific version of the pattern enabled me to get the back of a Wrestling/Judo/Karate/Thailand Muay Thai Lead Instructor and televised fighter that tossed me head first towards the ground and take him out.

@@Spikeybear differences in technical application with specific reasons I believe is exceptable to a degree... Leaving out 2 moves that are part of the pattern, that's a MISTAKE.
