  • Park metal detecting. We are trying out a new metal detector. We are hitting a park with the Nokta Makro Simplex Plus Metal Detector. This is not a review but our first time using this detector.
We plan on using the Simplex + a few times before giving a final review of the detector and how it performed.

The Nokta Simplex+ is the best detector value out there for beginners. It also makes a great back-up detector. It's really a true "turn on and go" detector.
I'll be putting up a special deal on them later today on the site.
Oh, and if you like this one, wait till you try the Legend...

@@DigginSoCal if you check our website, Nokta just came out with a package we're cackling the Christmas special. You get the wireless headphones and a Nokta pinpointer that won't interfere with the Simplex+, and a hat. They make great products for a really fair price.

What is the price on this model?

    • @DogtownTradingCo
      @DogtownTradingCo Рік тому +1

@@52Mirza $280 for just the detector, and $375 for the detector with wireless headphones and a pinpointer. You save a lot by getting the package deal. The headphones are usually around 85 on their own.

I’m so glad to find someone using the simplex. That’s what my wife and I swing. We love them, specially at the beach. But it excels as well at the park. I moved from an at pro and love the simplex. It has multiple frequencies too. That allows my wife and I to hunt side by side. Great hunt, that’s for taking the simplex for a walk. Hours of fun for very little investment.

Glad to see you guys tried out the simplex as it's one of my favorite detectors. As Christine noted the simplex has a tone that's different than virtually every other detector and when it locks on to a quarter you know what you've got as it's like a pitbull grabbing onto your arm. But the interesting thing about it is the more you use it the more you can understand through its tone what it's telling you more than almost any other detector. If you keep it you need to get the sp24 sniper coil which makes it a killer in the tot lots and it's lighter to swing. You can use it in the soft dry sand with no problem but if you go down to the wet sand you have to ground balance it down properly so it doesn't false unlike your equinox and vanquish because it's a single frequency machine. Great choice!

    Everyone has Thier preference.
A good machine consists of what machine the swinger feels most comfortable using. And the more a person learns Thier machine, (whichever Thier choice of brand)
    They find Thier comfort level.

Bought it. Tried it. Selling it. It is a decent machine for the money, but I think there are better choices for a beginner. and I’m past this.
I bought it because it is waterproof and the machine I’d been using for years wasn’t. Unfortunately the Simplex just didn’t fit my needs.
    Positives:
    -VERY waterproof
    -Basically functional on targets
    -Reasonably priced.
    -Rechargeable built-in battery.
    -Charge lasts all day.
    Negatives:
    -Heavy. Swings like a brick.
-Audible speaker goes from too quiet to embarrassingly loud.
-The length adjustment clips on the shaft break easily, without abuse.
    -Noisy
    -Not compatible with Garrett pointer!!!!!!
    -Poor to non-existent warranty support.

Ahh the Simplex, a love/hate relationship. It was my 1st TID machine after years of swinging Tesoro’s. The Nokta brand pinpointer doesn’t interfere like the Garrett and some others. It’s a solid deep machine and durable as can be, especially for the cost. Takes some time, like most, to get through the “learning” curves. It led me to the Deus, pounds difference to swing, apples and oranges.

In pass, have you or Bill ever use any old metal Detectors? I've use 5 different kinds, and I liked Whites, XLT and DFX. I've hunted with other people with new Detector, and I could still find good things with my old DFX. Keep up good hunts Ray

I think the oldest was the Tesoro we tried a week or so ago. I could pull out my AT Pro... it is probably my oldest... have had it for years. But, I agree... new tech does not make bad tech void.

Thinking twice before you buy Nokta brand .I’m not sure the quality is not good or I’m just bad luck . Mine stop working after digging for 4 times .The worst thing is the poor after service. There is only one guy who’s in charge in the service. How and How long it’s going to be fixed all depending on his mood.Mine detector started not working in June . Until now July 28 it’s still not fixed. Warning! Think about the after service before you buy it unless you want to have headaches after one month return warranty expired.
