Honestly I think this game was a masterpiece. When I was playing it as a kid i always used to love playing as robin and also for some reason I thought that this entire game was somehow satisfying? Anyways that’s just my opinion. Have a happy life😁
This game blew my mind when i saw the trailer for the first time. Them being able to talk was just insane to me since i had played so much of lego star wars 1 & 2 a couple of years before this game released. then i played the demo and it made me love this game even more.
This game was not only one of my favorites growing up but it was my introduction to two voice acting legends Troy Baker and Travis Willingham although I didn't know their names at the time.
Casswury isn’t the first one based on the movies with the first part of the game being based of the movie where Batman fights riddler and two face and the second part of the game is based of the second Batman movie when he fights penguin and catwoman and the 3rd part is based of the first film when he fights the joker in the clock tower or whatever that was
all 3 games is the same universe but think of lego games as a parody and love letter to all media the franchise was in to movies cartoon comics but at the end of the first game they hinted at 2 so even tho they focus more on the movies and 90's tv show it is the same batman

EDIT: 7/20/23, I swear this brings back so many memories, of playing Lego Batman on my Ps2 and Xbox 360, back in 2014-2015, and Lego Batman 2 iirc around 2016 on my Xbox 360 as well. Being a kid during those times, watching youtubers and walkthroughs of LB1 by people like 8bittheater, 5-7 years old, i was obsessed with the kissing scene with catwoman for some reason, those moments were goated. There was not a single dull moment when playing those games, my dad actually modded both so i had both things with 100% completion. I also remember back in my Lego Batman 2 days, Me and my grandma would go down into the basement, and play catch with a old ball till my mom got home from work and rung the doorbell, or i would meet her down there. I remember always leaving the game on Lego Batman 2, because i was playing it very often. Typing this, just floods back memories of just having fun, some memories I didn’t know I had, playing Lego Batman with my dad and grandma in the house, my mom too, i cannot express how much i miss that kind of joy. Would kill to go back to those kind of times 😞 now I’m going into highschool, my grandmother unfortunately has Alzheimer’s, I don’t want to but soon we’ll all be adults, its crazy how time files by so quickly. I thought every soundtrack on LB1 on the levels were different but it turns out its all on the same theme basically, and i only found that out just a few months eariler 😭 I would always go to the carnival area and fool around over there in the free roam, and create a custom character, jumping into those Goop pools trying to get the head of the lego piece to go inside of the Batman mask for some reason. It just fascinated me at the time. I just hated how you couldn’t glide, without the Sonar suit in this game. And they didnt have any special interactions with Batman and Catwoman, even though they made out in the last game.

In my opinion, this game is better than the first and third one. I had some much fun with this game, if anyone never played this game or thinks this isn't the best one, you belong in Arkham Asylum.
wow this one was so good, i remember that scene with a truck or something and we had to trail it to board it, it felt so cool because that was the first time i had seen something like that in a video game
i remember when i was about 5, they had this movie at the family video down the the street and i would rent it out almost every week for a while. I would always play it on the little tv in my room through my dvd player. Cinematic Masterpiece.
