I don't think the first bus is savable for a total or even "rustoration" but there might be plenty of decent parts and panel pieces to keep other busses and single/double cabs alive. You can buy a lot of re-pop panels but if you can restore using original metal that's just more of an accomplishment. Usually only 1-2 additional steps. Good save on that Ghia! It's a total shame about those ovals. I totally get wanting to clean off the property but when it comes to cars its worth something to somebody usually far above the scrap value. I see this with squarebody chevy pickups all the time. Guys are going to scrap it for what,, $150? There are guys out there, lots of them in fact, that would save it and either part it or restore it so it can live on. And I know every car group has guys like that. What happened to the bus that was in the woods, it looked like a 1959 or 1960 Volkswagen bus, then just seeing that red crew cab, with yellow pinstripping, now that Karmann Ghia, outside it was a brown color, but wherevthe engine goes was a green color, I wonder if you have what they call an acid bath, cause that would clean those parts nicely, finally have you guys ever had a 21 window or a Westfalia Camper those are awesome.

I bet that a typical car dealer would say: mint condition, needs thick paint and some Sikaflex! ;-) :-)
Beautiful
i passed on that bus for 1800.00🤦♂️
Big mistake nice bus could be fixed if not musty one word
@@adamsrescuesvws9504 i called him when i was out there , he didn't want it either . You say big mistake but you probably don't have 25 Vw's in your driveway and a couple dozen more scattered around the yard lol....buy it and flip it , for sure , but that's not my gig.
I only have three Volkswagen beetle it’s 1970 beautiful Volkswagen dune buggy Myers Max boots buggy another Volkswagen dune buggy wait that’s for poops
@@adamsrescuesvws9504 3 is good :) . That place was a haul and I had to take the other wrecked bus and crashed 61 bug in the ground as well for like 3k . I just wasn't up for it solo ....so i left and drove to see that 54 or 55 .The one bus was moved with a backhoe and I don't think it would of stayed in one piece on the 3 hour ride home ....parts coming off on the highway , not good .

Seems mustie is really afraid to reveal his locations. Are his fans that much of a threat ?
Justin was just trying to being funny
I've had the pleasure of meeting mustie1 and he told me that yes, fans of his channel would just show up at his house and expect to be welcomed in. Can't blame him one bit for wanting to keep the new workshop's location a secret.
Dear@@chrisfreemesser5707 .
I'm a huge/big Mustie1 fan and uuuuh, I didn't knew that. Thanks for the information. If one becomes a celebrity it's the way it usually goes unfortunately. But it's definitely a bad fan behavior.
Best regards luck and health.
Might this bus be described as crusty?
VERY
Wow - both bumpers? And the rear valence is still there? Of course your should rescue it!
Was that a ford truck ..yellow to the left of the bus??
Hi Mark , I'm not sure
What happened to the bus that was in the woods, it looked like a 1959 or 1960 Volkswagen bus, then just seeing that red crew cab, with yellow pinstripping, now that Karmann Ghia, outside it was a brown color, but wherevthe engine goes was a green color, I wonder if you have what they call an acid bath, cause that would clean those parts nicely, finally have you guys ever had a 21 window or a Westfalia Camper those are awesome.
Hi Enrique , the Ghia was org green , i have not run into any 21 or 23 window buses ....although a friend paid 400.00 for his 21 window in the 90's :). that was my white 66 Westfalia in this vid .
@@5150mxVW loved the Westfalia Camper, love those 21 window buses, especially withe pop out windows, they are very rare, & hard to find, have you ever found the volksawagen Thing, it*s like a jeep, I don*t know how popular in the States, but in the islands, & Mexico they were built from 1973 to 1977 .
