The reason your third book is sticking out is because you're not installing it correctly. Instead of sliding the two books through the elastic case band, place the two books on top of the elastic case band and pull it through between the two books, then slide the third book through it to hold it together. The elastic case band will now be sitting underneath the rubber band instead of on top, and it will make enough room for your third insert! It took me a while to figure this out but this method matches Traveler's instructions (which are easily misunderstood that essentially led to all my troubleshooting).
