Thanks man, we already found the original rapping verse of Wacka Flocka. You see, we're a Trap Music channel and we wanted to feature that track in a new mix we'll be releasing these days.
But the problem with that mash-up on UA-cam is that the acapella starts a couple of milliseconds to early. Which doesn't have that epic effect like in this Baauer mix. So we re-booted the track on our own.

Love hearing and watching him work...Flawless as fuck.
It was much better before, but he decided to use youtube's stabilizer option, which is fucking awful.
Love how Baauer goes so crazy on stage, you can tell he's having such a good time. Saw him at Parklife in June and he was going just as mental as the crowd.
Please turn off the camera shake adjustment feature, it makes the video unwatchable...

Even on stage, you get a LOT of volume from the speakers, so in order to hear your monitors clearly as well, you'd need to crank them high enough for the front row to hear it a bit AND definitely for the camera to pick it up on this video. So no, he's not using the monitors to sync anything. And no it wouldn't be an off beat mess, because Ableton syncs the fuck out of whatever you play. Really.
In case you didn't notice, the sound from the video is the sound from the camera that recorded it (not an audio file added later in whatever editing software). In your hypothesis, in order for Baauer to hear with monitors, they would have to be cranked up pretty loud, and would be the only thing that we'd be hearing for half of the video. The front row might be able to hear it a bit as well. So ... you're wrong. PS: Don't bro me if you don't know me ;)

I'm not asking him to learn how to scratch. I just don't see the point of doing "live" sets unless your doing something Justice or Gesaffelstein live esque, where its a full show of just their music. Otherwise just DJ and mix good and i'm happy. Although through my experience djs who use vinyl and are able to scratch to some degree are usually more fun to watch then the guy pressing sync.
Doesn't need them cause he's not doing anything that requires them. He's using ableton.. the program mixes for him. He just has to press play and jump around like a monkey and everyone will eat it up! I'm not trying to rip on Baauer. I like his productions but when people are paying money to see you don't you feel some what obligated to actually perform at a professional standard for them? I would feel so cheap doing that.

I've been to a slipknot concert before, it's not that loud behind the main speakers compared to what the crowd's hearing... Monitors aren't for the crowd to hear, just the DJ... (cause of reflections)

The loudspeakers are direction speakers (the ones facing the crowd), the monitor's facing him are for cueing the next song, without them, the crowd would hear Baauer syncing the next song to the current song playing... would be a off-beat mess... don't even remember typing my last comment. was really drunk...:/
actually by stage prescence i meant how he physically appears on the stage.. i wasnt talking about how the music sounds. unlike a lot of other artists he's actually into the music, and with the vibes the crowd is giving him.. awk..
