That subgenre of DnB emerged between 1997 and 1998 in London as a progression of techstep.
Between 2007 and 2008, a decade after the pioneering artists first established neurofunk's technical soundscape, the style was enhanced with a series of diverse, forward thinking debut albums set to redefine its concept production with some artists like: Psycho, Gridlok, Mindscape, The Upbeats, ed rush and more.
Now, the scene is led by artists such as The Upbeats, Noisia, Spor, Black Sun Empire, Phace and Gridlok.

Although I've been listening to DnB for quite a while, I never really got into neurofunk until now - this playlist is totally bonkers. Have never been raving so hard before. DnBstep + neurofunk seems to be my new favourite drug :D Thank you so much!

me too was previously malcrafted by neuropunk, then i found another artist who mixed 2-3 themes and making such techno logical malcrafted bit so you cant listen to anything other. he now recording new releases and i have time to list woman music

@@Ganker.93 Not sure what you mean by that. At least 16 out of 23 tunes here are pure Neurofunk with the rest partly or fully falling into Darkstep and Techstep.
DnB is the umbrela term/genre for it all for what it's worth.
Neurofunk would be a subgenre, so technically all of the stuff like that that falls into category of 170-185 BPM (with the average aka. most popular BPM of 172-175) considered DnB, no matter the subgenre😝

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite genres.
I used to listen d&b a long time ago, i listen more hardcore/early hardcore/rave/retro and stuff now but this and indrustrial/crossbreed just remains great sometimes especially when i have a need for real dark nice hard fast and chaotic music :D

Great mix! I always loved mixing neurofunk back when I used to spin. I always got a kick out of being at a party where they only play house and electro, then your turn comes up and no one knows what to do when the beat drops.
