- in today's episode we're at Dave's Burger Barn in Waco, TX taking on their Zipper Ripper Challenge! Entrants get 12 minutes to finish a five patty burger stuffed with cheese, bacon and veggies, a 32oz drink and a mountain of fries. Finish it inside the time limit and it's on the house, you get a spot on their wall of fame and a t-shirt...at least you're supposed to get a t-shirt...

I could probably finish a lot of these challenges, not as fast as he does, but all my friends are blown away by how fast I eat. I just don't eat the volume of food he does.

Incredible. After watching so many of Adam's videos, I immediately thought, "5 patty burger, fries, and a drink? That's nothing" Then realized how much food that actually is for a normal person.
Well and it's 12 mins. I normally eat just a burger and fries(1 patty and like 8 oz of fries) in like 40 mins.
@@ernieellan5694 I’ve always been a fast eater, I can get a normal burger and fries meal down in less than a minute. Maybe I should try competitive eating 😄

The only mass eater I can actually watch. No lip smacking, no chewing noises, no nonsense. Good shit. The others could do well to take a hint from Adam.
Been laid up for a month after major surgery.. struggle to eat some days because my appetite is so low. Genuinely gets me fired up to try and tackle a decent meal when I watch a couple of your vids beforehand. Always had a weird relationship with food - I’m learning to appreciate it more and more 🙏🏻

Keep your chin up buh, try and eat what you can handle when you fancy it or when you can handle it. Had same sorta issues myself after a brain op and still do sometimes due to other things so feel your pain just try do what you can and try not to stress or force it, that can be one of the biggest appetite killers stress can. Peace out
That was me last year but I managed. Hang in there it will be okay 👌 in like 6-8 weeks for me I didn't have anyone taking care of me but I hope 🧒 you do. Wishing you a speedy recovery Jamie.

The sense I get is that your Maam raised you well. You are always well spoken and conducted whereever you find yourself. I grew up in Staffs, then Northwest around Manc surrounding areas and found the locals so much more homely than South East my family settled down at.

The fries appeared to be hand cut, that makes ALL the difference! They look like the ones you can get in Canada when you’re ice-skating from any number of vendors… Little bit of salt and a little bit of vinegar and you are in heaven. Great job as always Beard!

They didn't waste an employee's time by watching him like a hawk, but they should've checked on him more than once or twice lol
He doesn't usually leave the table because in most challenges leaving the table is a forfeit. You have to stay sitting at the table until you're finished to make sure you don't try to cheat by hiding food.
He’s usually required to no leave the table as anti cheat.

it's pretty rare in america...happens all the time in england...but to be fair, at least here they'd had a few people complete the challenge, so there was a compelling reason not to have t-shirts in stock haha

Rice crispy cakes always a pass for me. That burger looked incredible though, and if I ever visit texas again I have to visit this place as I'm curious about the fries.
I like a good classic rice krispie treat (that's what we call them in the US) that's a little heavy on the butter so it's nice and soft with a pleasant balance of sweet and salty. Once you start adding cookies, chocolate chips, or other junk, it just loses the magic for me.
Another awesome video brother! Just curious if there are any challenge restaurants that you'd like to revisit at a more leisurely pace? Seeing you actually getting to enjoy the food would be kinda cool too
to be honest it's almost always pretty leisurely mate...i'm never normally eating so rapidly that I don't enjoy it...but I'd revisit Kendall's any time lol

As someone who grew up in Lacy-Lakeview, Dave's became a staple of the town. Glad to see them getting more recognition.
Also, the fries are LEGIT! They use peanut oil, solid seasoning, and they are even better with chili and cheese.
