I think she is guilty, but so is Danny!!!! HOW COULD HE NOT BE A PART OF THAT BABY'S DEATH!?! He was mad, frustrated, home alone with him during the time she was gone the first time. He was the one that sent the text to the babysitter even. He knew for sure what all was going on, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did whatever happened and then she was so young and dumb that she took the full fall. I watched the closing statements.. and after serving on a jury , I know you can only look at the facts of the case, not your feelings . She probably did it, but idk if the prosecution truly proved it “beyond a reasonable doubt”. which they must prove. If I hadn’t served on a jury trial, i probably wouldn’t make this statement . It’s just different when you are in the jury box.
She lost custody of all 3 think 2 years ago, her mother had custody ,but they let Leilani live there, with the kids, that just got taken away. She need to be charged also,imo.

As a former social worker in foster care I asked the same question everyday I went to work. Why not turn over the child to the father, they don’t. From my professional experience, it’s usually dislike for the father so they purposely withhold the child, see themselves as the more fit parent, the father is sometimes unsuitable to begin with, they tend not to know who the father is, and they prefer keeping child support to themselves. Lastly, when women collect child support they’re typically on welfare. That’s just my anecdotal observation

I'm always thinking....throughout this trial....that Leilani sits there day after day without her best friend (COCAINE) comforting her now. I wouldn't call her "sober" by any stretch, but because the cocaine is no longer protecting her from who she REALLY is as a person she's listening, watching (videos of herself, text messages, other visible evidence being presented) and seeing for the first time in her life what her "problem" is...her problem is HERSELF. She is now confronted with her character defects, her lack of ethical and moral values, and no spiritual anchor whatsoever. That scowl, that pinched face look throughout the trial tells me she doesn't even recognize who she really is. She's saying to herself: "who are they talking about?" This is what happens: FIRST, you take the drug, then the drug takes YOU. (your sense of self, your dreams, your goals, your job, your money, your house, your CHILDREN (Quinton), your family, your friends, your conscience, your soul....and finally your LIFE.
