(sigh) I failed miserably last year Please forgive my resistance Dear Lord. This year I have re-committed myself to read thru the Bible. Pastor's Daily Reading drops into my E-mail at 5:30 a.m. I have set my alarm for 5:29 a.m. So that I get up and read that day's reading/teaching. Would love to be diciplined enough to read thru it again Before I go to bed. Hey!! Then I could claim I had read thru the Bible 2 times in 2025!! Awesome!!
I ask the Holy Spirit to teach me with what He wants me to learn before I read Scriptures. The Bible puts the way God thinks in my mind. It creates a hunger to know God.
The temptation of Luke 4 has been following me around. Ive been meditating. I pray I receive what You need me to. Lord I will make room so I am open to receive
I still haven't read through the Bible. I am still focused on going where I'm being fed. And not moving past it until I understand it and am able to apply and share it. I don't wanna just read the Bible. I wanna meditate, steadfastly, and genuinely.
Just started w/ Pastor Shane Winnings in UA-cam reading The Bible in a year ❤. I like it be my vision is waning & I listen each day to hear Shane read for about 15 minutes every day. Going to join in Pastor Allen's Bible reading as well😊
You actually can do both. Meditate and study the daily reading. That does not limit you to read, study and meditate on God's Word. I see your point but I think a guideline is very helpful for many of us. The daily read does not limit me in time i spend in the Word.
@@sheilawilson3799 I'm pretty stubborn. Something I've gotta learn to let go of. After rereading my response. I just see a hard headed me trying to make excuses not to read the Bible through. I'll get better being more responsive rather than quick to excuse.
You need to listen to this sermon very closely. I can assure you from personal experience. If you read the Bible, the Holy Spirit will interpret it to you specifically.. JESUS WILL MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE ❤

Why such a dark church? Even the pastor dressed on black. The Lord created colours! They lift our spirit!
Maybe because its calming & it puts people in the mood for prayer. Colors or great during worship time, though.
