John failed to point out that the historical traders got almost bankrupt several times in their life and had to borrow huge amounts to stay afloat. Who is going to lend out to the regular Joe when he loses everything?

31:47 he does mention O’Neil took massive losses, which was what made him disciplined and adhere to rules.
Also, at 33:15 he mentions how so many legendary traders went broke.
