I can’t see where perenara grounded the ball or is that just me
no idea how that was deemed a try
Didn't help highlights, glossed over it, very bizarre
The replay stopped midway through, but how long did they give him to put it down? He was held up for 5 mins.
Possibly a penalty try on account of dangerous tackle, but it's difficult to say based on just the highlights.
moegsienh if it was penalty try then tj wouldnt have got credit for try.
I don't know how that Perenara try was awarded but other wise, this was an excellent display of rugby by the Hurricanes
Basically just rugby challenge 3 with the commentary
you can see that Savea loves his rugby.....well done!!!
Ardie savea is a beast man
Savea turns from forward to back real quick 😎
Chiefs looked like they'd stopped playing when Jordie Barrett ran his try in, strange game
I really like the way some of the play is going from the Kiwi's. Certain things they seem to be trying out which gives me a bit more confidence heading into All-Blacks season soon.
Nice offloads, the angles which are really impressive, seems to be certainly what quite a few of the Kiwi franchises appear to be doing for 2019. That straight up through the middle with the offloads, nice work and well done Canes.
Also why the hell are we losing Procter to the Poms again?. Another fantastic player leaving to go and play in Pomland later this year. Honestly, NZ rugby, when will you learn that eventually we will have no more players in NZ, they will all be in bloody Pomland or France.
Chiefs need a new assistance coach
@@SamuelJohnsonYT Still good side though. Well all the Kiwi coaches are finishing up with Wales and Ireland, so who knows.
I heard that Gatland might end up managing England. If that is the case, I never want to see him manage the All-Blacks. An insult that would be for him to manage the Poms.
Just out of curiosity, who would you like to see as All-Blacks Manager next?.
The TMO who awarded Perenara's try should have gone to Specsavers
Giles I can only assume you didn't see the full match coverage.
@@clarke1319 Correct, I was only going off the highlights - did he actually get the ball down then?
@@gilessb yes
Goodness knows what he was looking at in order to give a try! A Mr Magoo moment.
It was the linesman who gave it not the tmo, it's wasn't referred to the tmo at all
That 2nd Jordie Barrett try was horse-shit. Chiefs probably thought they were still doing their captain's run.
Really embarrassing and pathetic to be honest, as if their opposition is a reserves squad
Ardie is a monster man
that chiefs defence for the second canes try was pathetic
im a hurricane fan but even I got angry at that second Jordie Barrett try lol you call that a defense
Savea can really make a good center for the all blacks
Barret is a classy fullback. Reminds of Andre Joubert.
@@the_dude_abides9361 The way he runs from the back, ball in two hands and the angles. He is only 22, they should quit shuffling him around and keep him at 15.
Such good rugby!
Jordie looks a lot more comfortable at fullback than at wing, although the Chiefs defence may have helped him a bit...
Paaaaaace baby
I am a hurricane fans bt how is TJ Peranara try awarded 🤔
Agreed but it still means the score would have been 40-17. Canes are on it. I fear for the South African teams, looking at the NZ conference.
Nice game hurricanes
Wow, tht was a Barbarians style game!
Eh pibe, esto con McKenzie no pasaba.
Aumua deserves starting spot
Aumua is a star in the making. If the hurricanes only want to use him sparingly then the NZRFU should force the Hurricanes to release him.
not ahead of dane coles. when he retires
👍
TJ no way got the ball down !!
What is the song name on 2:40
anyone knows where I can stream rugby live?
Chiefs destroyed by Jordie
The caines play exciting footy
C'est possible d'avoir un stade encore plus vide ?
Can't remember, what's the song's title at 2:37, during TMO?
Sweet Caroline???
:D Yeah thanks!
Worst try decision since they brought in the TMO into rugby. Absolutely ridiculous, makes no sense.
It would make sense if you saw the full match coverage.
@@clarke1319 I too only saw these highlights... So how long does a modern rugby player have to play the ball on the ground nowadays?
@@clarke1319 saw the actual footage and no it didn't make any sense. Too long taken to place the ball so therefore player not releasing and playing the ball while on the ground.
@@RRSmurf if this occurred in open play the defending players on the ground would have been penalised.
because it occurred in goal they are entitled to prevent the attacking player from grounding the ball.
"When a player carrying the ball is held up in the in-goal so that the player cannot ground or play the ball, the ball is dead"
clearly in this case the ball was not dead because Perenara in fact grounded the ball.
@@clarke1319 Are you related to the TMO by any chance hahaha
The second Jordie Barrett try, were the Chiefs even willing to do something about it other than watch him run?
The Chiefs just got owned.
Ref had a bad day - a couple of dodgy decisions and then his guide dog bit someone
Haven’t seen the chiefs team play this bad in my whole entire life
How the hell did Perenara’s try get given? That is dreadful officiating
Geez did any of you people watch the game.
@@clarke1319 You seem to be one of very few who think it should have been awarded.
twhw twhw yeah I did, can you explain why it was given please
@@clarke1319 yep and still disagree with you and the official. Not that it matters either way being a spectator.
@@RRSmurf yeah because unlike you , apparently, I have seen the full match coverage and based my view on that rather than this highlights package.
Jordie and baudie confuse me😂😂😂
Chiefs got rekt in this game
Just a question, why are there so many forward passed in nz rugby, and worse off the refs don't even see it..... 1st try is one of many forward passes in especially nz rugby. Every weekend this is displayed to prove what I'm saying
this pass was not forward. try the pause and slow mo mode
@@clarke1319 friend, you are either blind or just plain crazy @00:22 look at no2's hands and movement its clearly forward to no15 barret. Please open those eyes of yours. If you can't see then i dont know what to tell you maybe get some glasses. Not here to be a keyboard warrior but hell.. that's clearly forward, like so many passes nz teams are doing this season
@@west1329 you're a genius. At the point the ball is released the players hands are obscured yet you can see them. Good oh Wes.
Apparently you're trying hard to find forward passes by NZ teams and your succeeding. Gee if you think that pass is Clearly forward then I think you lack directional awareness.
@@clarke1319 ignorant is what you are.. and blind. Like I said, just LOOK at the hookers movement, CLEAR AS DAY. And all I'm stating is that in nz rugby alot of passes are forward and the ref/s sideline refs dont see shit. Could this be so that they get the upperhand? I think so. @twhw twhw This is Rugby not american football fyi
Finally canes win over chiefs
Finally? out of 35 games the Hurricanes have won 18
Terrible defence display. 2 of those Hurricane tries were not tries, Perenara and the last one. Bad refereeing.
When you and your mate hold the ball up brilliantly over the line but the TMO is like nah
If he had been held up then he would not have got the ball down which he in fact did
@@clarke1319 you dont have an indefinite amount of time to get the ball down.. he was tackled, and held long enough without being able to get the ball down... Let me put it this way, if he was tackled in any other part of the field, and hadn't released the ball in that time, he would have been penalised.
Get yourself a copy of the full coverage Peter and watch it in full speed. The replay is slower than real time and gives the impression the ball was held up longer than it actually was.
He in fact grounds the ball in 2.5 sec. The ball was still playable and this is born out by the fact he grounded it in good time.
Yes in open field he would have been penalised but then so would have the defenders. They were all on the ground playing the ball however as you well know a player in goal is not required to release the ball.
