Great review will. As an ex graphics programmer I always knew the "curved" option in iracing was a con which is why I bought flat displays for my triple setup. Although personally I think displays that are too wide then force the side monitors too far away thereby creating the "big car" problem but it's all personal preference and compromise. I'm happy with triple 32.
Thank you for the great review. I have this setup and thought it was just me not getting the best FOV. Really appreciate you going through the different monitor settings for the various games. You also answered my thoughts about a bezel kit; I'm glad I didn't waste money on it. Cheers!
i'm running triple 32 inch 1440p monitors with a 1000R curve and that just feels perfect to me. You'll have to be closer to the screens like you mentioned. Even made a custom monitor stand with motors from an old sit/stand desk so I can lower the screens, so the Simucube base is behind it all, with an extension on the Simucube to get the wheel in the right position. Been working on that for quite some time, but man does it feel rewarding once everything looks as it should :)
Did you mention that is possible to adjust curved monitors in lemans ultimate?? How to do it? Where to find the curved option?? Awesome video as always!!!
@@abedharb8485 even one 27" is enough. If you dont have enough space, 27" triple will do the job. Personally i dont like 27 triples, because they are only 70cm wide and when you compare the price, its not much more expensive
@@abedharb8485 I USE TRIPLE 27S and im about 50 inches from the screen right up on it. the bigger the monitor the futhur you have to sit back. id personally think 32 are perfect size for sim racing. sim trucking maybe 40s and sim flying 60 or above
As far as the bezel free kit goes, I've had them on my triple 55" setup since I've had it and took it off this weekend. I did like them in the beginning but it soon became a pain in the ass with them moving slightly, the brackets not holding right to the screens and having to add gaffers tape to hold. I found myself constantly looking at them to make sure they were right, which broke the immersion more than the 1/4" black line. YMMV
I say this for price, the pc requirements, the amount of space it takes up, and if it matters to you, the immersion is way more, and I love feeling like I'm in the car
Will, you you didn’t use the ‘Projection Correction’ function in ACC which is one of its secret advantages over all other sims. It would resolve that disparity between side view and edges without having to fudge any numbers to get it to feel right. As a test, and this applies to all sims, you can use the glance l/r feature in each game and physically measure the size of objects as the move from the side to the front, and across edges, to make sure there is zero distortion. This is a test that can only work with screens that are the same distance from your eyes all the way around, so perfect for this setup!
It wasn’t included in the video but I did experiment with it. Unfortunately it’s not a viable solution with screens this big. The image ends up being zoomed in so much it looks like 720P, and the side screens are still warped inward even at the maximum setting of 1.0. You can compensate for it to an extent by increasing the resolution scaling and using super sampling, but then you have to disable DLSS and performance takes a huge hit to the point it’s not viable even with a 4090 unless you set everything to Low.
Top Tip: Some OLED monitors (looking at you, Alienware), have a forced reminder to run the anti-burn-in tool that WILL pop up on your screen while in the middle of a game and CANNOT be dismissed - it will time out after about 30 seconds but that's plenty of time to hit the guy in front.... There is an option to disable the 4 hour reminder, but I don't think this stops the forced one. Other OLED displays I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised.
What are you talking about? You realise you can turn off the pop up right? So it doesn’t pop up while gaming. I’ve got an Alienware oled monitor and have this turned off. It will only pop up if the monitor goes to sleep and you manually turn it back on interrupting the sleep.
I have the older version of this monitor and there's definitely a reminder that pops up after a certain time even with all the oled protection settings off or turned down as low as possible. However, I'm fairly certain it only pops up if there's a certain percentage of pixels that have been static since I've only ever seen it when I was editing a Word document. I've never seen it pop up when gaming so it really should be a non-issue for sim racing use.
@@iBerggman It definitely doesn't happen all the time. But after an extended period of either not turning the monitor off, or not running the anti-burnin, it WILL pop up with no option to skip. Definitely appears during gameplay. But like I say, it isn't al the time.
@@boostedmedia I have that pop up too but it just says it's going to run the maintenance and then does it over the next 5 min automatically. Basically if the monitor has been on for over 4 hrs it will run a self clean once it's not being used. If I interrupt it and turn the PC back on it will say it wasn't able to complete it and when I turn the back off it auto restarts the pixel clean (Same monitors as in vid btw)
From a hardware perspective, this is pretty much the ultimate. All the compromises are coming from the software. Hopefully, it will catch up, and we'll have perfect sim racing visuals.
I wonder if you could incorporate head tracking to prioritise resolution to where you're looking? Kind of like how foveated rendering works in VR. There's o much heavy lifting dobe by GPU here for what is essentially just your peripherals and beyond.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking every time with triples. It should also be OK (and easily implemented by sims) to just render the side screens at half resolution. that would simply double performance
@AtomicAndi assetto corsa actually has the option to render side screens at like 1/4, half and 3/4 resolution. Its through content manager but if it works there it should work on other games. I believe they use fsr to do it. You can render the sides using fsr, performance, quality, etc... The whole foveated rendering would probably need to be implemented by developers. I think we'd see side screen separate rendering before that besides in vr.
@@JustMamba oh, interesting. That cm guy, he has it all! I suspect a game has to be "open" enough for thsi to work. I bet ACC and iRacing will be no-go... then again... we have maybe not tried hard enough
Really nice setup , I am surprised that no company has jumped on this and created a flexible screen that covers this whole view, the bezels kill it for me ,I used to have triple 27inch setup but went VR when the Reverb came out, not sure I could go back.
I have triple 42in flats with a 70° angle. After watching this I'm glad I went that route instead of the curved displays. The warping on the sides simply wouldn't work for me as I do mostly drifting and my view out of my side displays needs to be accurate as I look out them alot while drifting. My biggest complaint with triples is games that don't support them are just a huge bummer. I would love proper triple support on dirt rally 2.0 or WRC but that's just not the case so it looks awful on there and I just don't play those.
@FNCS_parker what ever you are comfortable in man. I have the next level racing GT Track and love it but it's not for everyone. The aluminum profile rigs are great for customizable but take some tinkering to get right buy as does every rig. You're gonna want the same things a regular sim racer wants in a rig like minimal flex and rigid, as well as comfortable.
@@FNCS_parkerid highly recommend upgrading your pedals as well if you are still on the srp lights. A good brake pedal is key to good left foot brake control while in drift especially with higher HP cars at the competive level
Oled panels are the single best upgrade you can do to a gaming/sim rig setup, the color and clarity are just unmatched. I have the 49" g9 oled on my simrig and I love it.
I tried running 3 34" 3440x1440 monitors and had the same distortion issues. I ended up selling two of them and now I run 3 32" and couldn't be happier, unless the were OLED.
the deep dive is appreciated, I have triple 32s with 1800R curves and it has given me a few things to try. I'm happy with the setup overall, just some warping I've been meaning to see if I can address
I've been using a 27 inch 1440p panel for ages and I just upgraded to a 34 inch ultra wide Acer Nitro ED3 and that alone has been a huge improvement. I'm eventually going to pair it with 2x27 inches and go 27, 34, 27. That's all I have space for and budget for... 27" displays are much more common 2nd hand I've noticed
Fantastic review. Thorough, well researched, and the editing was tops. As it turned out, I picked up three of these monitors yesterday to go along with the tubular Trak Racer triple monitor stand. Your comment about width of the center bar was correct. These do not fit even the “large” stand. I’d guess the center bar is 6-8” too short (and the stand appears to be ready to topple forward despite the monitors seemingly being not that heavy). Will, what did you use for a stand in your setup?
I had tripple 32 flats and then tried tripple 32 curved ( samsung odyssey) and find that the curved setup is way more emmersive. No issues with warping either
I will have to say that racing seat is awesome but, I would never have that seat for sim racing. The head restraint is right at the edge of your peripheral vision limiting your f.o.v. if you have your head back. Great if you are in a real race car, but pretty much pointless in a sim.
I’ve built many simulators now and agree it’s all about compromise. My previous build did have the same 45” LG 800r triples and I used it competitively for PESCC Canada. This rig sold and I am now looking at building another. I have been using D-BOX on the builds so 32” triples are just set too far back for their size and I’m hesitant to affix them to a moving chassis. Being that I still long to find the next best thing, I’m leaning towards a triple 48” OLED setup.. always tough finding DisplayPort monitors that tick all the boxes in a larger size. Now since I do end up selling simulators I have to say there certainly is an elegance to triple curved in a “man cave” and these 45” LG’s with their continuous curve look premium in a space which is something to consider vs triple 42 or 48” flat monitors. In the end, always look to try something new so maybe a 5090 paired with a 48” 4K OLED like the LG48GQ900 or the Asus PG48UQ is ideal.. unfortunately not the strongest refresh as these monitors are a little outdated now. It would help with the vertical real estate a bit at least and fix our warping issues. My ideal would be a 16x9 48” curved 4k OLED with 165hz minimum and DisplayPort. Hopefully the new 50 series can drive DSC on all 3 at the same time. Will, with all of our experience now.. what’s the end game triple setup for a motion rig (monitors set behind wheelbase)? Ark 55’s?
I've reached similar conclusions. I think the value for money sweet spot is 32s, but the ark 55s seem to be the all out best option on paper. Haven't tried them though.
@@boostedmedia @brodyGoble I raced with you in PESCC and also run a DBox rig, but one option you guys are missing is that LG makes these panels in a 39" version! With that setup you can mount them using the same monitor stand as 32" screens. You have the exact same vertical height as a 32" monitor, but with the extra width the bezels drop outside of your main FOV and into the peripheral which I find helps alot. Secondly the sizing is perfect to run a 200mm Shaft extension on the simucube and then chuck the monitors between your steering wheel and the simucube base. I have this setup right now and I think its the ultimate screens, with screens about 730mm from my eyes. Just an FYI I run a sim business and have built about 40 rigs now with every single display option including the Ark 55, the LG 45", and the 42 & 48" OLED. Brody im sure we have chatted on discord at some point so if you find me there, I can send you a bunch of pics/vids. And Will if you want any more info or pics of the triple 39" build you can reach out to me as well, pretty sure I am one of the first to pull the trigger on that option.
I just went thru this process. Finding large 16:9 monitors that take a display port is rare. 48” would be great but are expensive. I went for 43” Samsung flat G7’s from a couple of years ago at a very good price. The picture quality is good enough for me. One issue with the curved screens is that I couldn’t make them work at 800mm distance. If you have surge motion you need the rig to be further away, hence the need for more vertical real estate.
This is why I went flat when I was deciding. Curved was very popular at the time and everyone was suggesting them. For me though, they didn’t provide as many options for where to place them in your rig as the distance is dictated by the curvature.
Thanks for all this information on the Racing Rig. I will still stay using VR even though it may not have that monitor type quality - (though I bet the monitors look great). I prefer my VR viewing which shows me actually sitting in the drivers seat of the vehicles and the 360 degree views of VR, especially when in a F1 open cockpit view. Happy New Year. Have fun racing.
Upscaling does wonders. Not so much going from 2 to 4k, but try a notch down from 4k, like 3200x1800. Lots of frames gained while not having to compromise
I love the video, LG makes some amazing monitors. I run triple 48inch oled 4k Ultragear monitors and I have no regrets. The burn in tech is amazing but if doing any sort of daily work it is just annoying. So then I chose the the 57inch ultrawide samsung. Thanks will keep up the great videos!!
one thing that i immediately noticed is how with 21:9, flat screens will not be good for triples, because the sides will have to be angled very aggressively. but with curved displays this isnt the case.
ty i have been struggling with the fov settings with these monitors btw you can probably set the center one at 1.4dsc and the side ones at 1.4 to run the center one at 240hz. and ofc you wouldn’t be able to nvidia surround
All my displays are OLED or QD-OLED, TV's and monitors included. Got my first OLED screen 7 years ago and there's no going back, I race in VR ,I tried triples using 3 21:9 screens but it was not for me I much prefer VR, sick looking setup btw
Great setup indeed bro but for me screens are too tight in height, just sold my 3x 32" curved for a Samsung Ark 55" curved to have some heigh, Hopefully you could make a review on it, thanks for all the content man !
I've ran the 45 for a bit and it was phenomenal for sim racing, but the resolution was tough for general tasks and reading text stretched out that far. I recently picked up the newer 39" version and man is it the sweet spot. It's brilliant! I think if you're sim racing only the 45 is still the way to go, but if you do any other general tasks the 39 is the better choice and it still seems massive compared to most any other monitors. Hopefully they'll send you over the 39 to check out. It's damn good! I believe both have an option to turn on pixel movement to combat burn in. I run it on mine and hardly ever notice it moving. I can only tell if the room is very bright and I compare the width of the side bezels but I never notice when it physically moves. It might be more noticeable in a triple setup though. Overall I can't believe how amazing they both are! Monitors have come a long way since I started gaming. Thanks for the vid Will. Happy new year Bud!
Wish i had the money and the space for those screens, maybe in the future. But man this is really an amazing view, and the bezels doesn't bother me either. even as a single screen, its really impressive, and OLED for simracing just feels right.
I feel like a solution to the wheel base problem will be a shaft extension on the wheel base like what simagic sell. Not sure if simucube sell something like that
Thanks for the awesome vid Will! Would you recommend this monitor for single screen setups over the 65-inch ones? Or any larger/smaller screens for that matter.
LG did announce two new 21:9 45" OLED ultrawide monitors with 5K2K resolution - a fixed curve model with 800r and a Flex model with a max of 900r curvature. I REALLY wish LG would do a larger version of their Flex 42 OLED (which I currently own) using their 16:9 48" OLED panel for MSFS2024 use (vertical real estate is more important for flightsims).
One thing that might be a factor for some would be the amount of heat these three screens would be producing. I have a single Samsung Odyssey G95c 49" curved monitor in my room (room is about 3.5mx3.5m) and it produces a lot of heat. Aussie summer in my room with only a fan behind me doesn't do the trick. My room is a Sauna with my PC and monitor running.
From talking to people with this setup they should be setup as a single 800r monitor including bezel width without nvidia surround in Iracing. You can actually buy 3 39" of the same monitor for $2300 right now in the USA from LG
Hey Will, I got the same setup and very happy with it. May I asked you what are the in-game graphics setup u are using in ACC? Thanks in advance and keep u the good work!
Good information as always. I have an LG 49" R1000 screen for a few years now. I absolutely love this screen. The resolution is 5120 x 1440 and it's fired by a RTX4080. I get easy over 200 fps with nearly any sim in high settings if I want. I usually limit the fps to 120 fps or on some sims to 60 fps (e.g. AMS2). It's always absolute smooth. The reason for limiting the fps is, that I do not see any difference and save a lot of power (power is expensive here in Germany)...
@@brettmilner6418 If I not limit the frame rate I can easy get arround 250 fps with high quality settings (nearly everything maxed out). iRacing is (beside AMS2 and AC) one of the games that is very efficient when it comes to graphic rendering. The oposite is e.g. AC2. I can get there also easy about 140 fps but then the RTX 4080 is at 100% load (drawing arround 280 Watt)...
@@brettmilner6418 with triplets its compeletely fine. 1440p you can get around 140-160fps, depending on curcuit and some more settings. 4k not over 100fps. With only one screen, you will get no problems with 200fps upwards. Ofcourse depending on you gpu
I remember you saying that you had started sim racing because it was cheaper than track days. Some years later you drop a video about your $100k rig....
Nice, but still OLED. Best value for money I found is Samsung TV with QLED, it's 55" 4K and 120HZ, works impressively good regarding it's price (600Eur) and it's not curved which is better for racing simulators when configuring
I run triple 27 1000R curves. I absolutely love it. Came from VR. Prefer this in every way except the obvious depth perception loss. But I'm quite a bit quicker in the triples. I do want to go with 32s or 45s later but that's a big price to swallow. Holy...1200 per screen, nah.
Hi @boostedmedia You mentioned that you see triple 32 inch screens as the sweet spot. But did i get you correctly that you would recommend flat screens over bend screens for a more accurate fov? I have right now the Samsung g5 32 inch with r1000. But i do have some unresolved problems wir similar to what you have shown in this video.
Question (from someone who's never had triples but is considering them): Presuming that flat triples have some distance warping near the crossover points between displays (due to the sharp angle difference) does having curved triples essentially rectify that and provide an equal & smooth perspective? I get what was said in the video about warping compromises (which to me don't seem that significant) but surely the main benefit of curved Vs flat is to improve consistency between displays?
@boostedmedia Many thanks for confirming & many apologies if I'm being dumb in asking. Just presumed that warping fix would be a major factor and don't recall it being specifically mentioned. Maybe you did say or it's not that significant, but thanks again for clarifying.
Thank you so much, that is very informative. Just out of curiosity, have you tried a triple 55 inch, whether a TV or a samsung ark? I have been using triple 55 screen on a 90 degree config, but was very limited on the FPS as I had to use the Vsync to get the screens to avoid tearing on elevation changes. However the scaling is very close to 1:1 with very minimal tweaks. Thank you so much and I wish you and your teams and families all the best for 2025!
We dont even have to go out and risk our lifes anymore! In traffic 😊😊 so many awesome Sim games and Sim rigs is available these days.. even if you crash you car etc etc... your are safe, and just press restart 😂😂
In windows with a grid as a desktop I have found that my triples only line up at the side when my eyes are near the bottom of the screens. The same is true in the sim is there a setting to change this. Moving the camera or horizon has no effect as the problem seems to be in windows itself.
I would have loved to see you using the "Projection Correction" in ACC which does correct the curve warping, so you could have used the 70° and correct the occurring W-shaped warp. You would need to turn off FSR as projection correction does not work with it enabled, it does work with DLSS.
Do I need to use any Projection Correction if I'm running a single 34", 3440x1440, 1800R, 21:9 Ultrawide panel at 51cm distance with a 40° vFov (80° hFov)? Using the: AW3423DWF
@@DerekMoore82 as it is a more mild curve and not 32:9 i`d say no. You are sitting pretty close to it, so there is a little bit of warping, but it still should be neglectable i guess. Dont bother with it in iRacing, as their curve correction is just a triple screen rendering that still warps the image where the bezels would be and also costs massive performance. If we talk about ACC maybe still try it and see if it makes a difference for you. for FOV calcualtion do it like Will did. take the actual width of the monitor if it was flat and also use that distance to your eyes, so not the actual distance to the middle of the monitor but where the monitor would be when it was flat. then just apply projection correction. unfortunately ACC does not really show what the right amount would be. if i had to guess it would be between 0.3-0.7. maybe have a parked car in front of you filling half of your screen. for me it helps to see warping
@@DerekMoore82 glad i can help. for AC1 there is a script you can implement in content manager. ReShade also has a tool from x4fab (Perfect Perspective) that can do the same for all other sims/games but it also warps the UI

hi! have you tried to create an angle on the bezel kit in the other direction to get an angle on the kit itself so that the light from the screens passing through it can do its job?
Hi Will. Great video as always. I have just bought tr160, simucube sport, vnm pedals, bavarian simtec alpha steering wheel. Curious what 27 inch or 32 inch you would recommend for triple setup. I believe the new 45" is 5120x2160. As much as I'd love an ultrawide with that resolution, I'm already have trouble with gaming at 4K. What I think would be perfect is 3840x1600.
Dear Will! I am considering to build a rig with triple 42s LG Oleds. What pros and cons do you think about this option? Would you suggest it? Thank you in advance! Best regards, Marek
I have the same primary (LG) display and am looking for smaller panels that I can match up for the sides (possibly mounted portrait). I do not want the monitors to take up that kind of space and feel the wrap around is wasted. I just want both side mirrors and a bit more window view like I had with triple 27's. Has anyone done this with the 45" LG OLED, if so, what displays did you use?
Great review - super interesting. Id love to see you do the alienware 32 4K oled - I've got one on a 4090 rig and thinking of making it a triple set up but am guessing id need to run at 1080 to get decent frames.

Awesome 🎉 Have been looking forward to seeing these screens
These ones have a reminder that pops up when they go to sleep reminding you to run the anti-burn in tool.
If I interrupt it and turn the PC back on it will say it wasn't able to complete it and when I turn the back off it auto restarts the pixel clean
(Same monitors as in vid btw)
Just got this same setup with RTX4090. Absolutely love them. Amazing setup
From a hardware perspective, this is pretty much the ultimate.
All the compromises are coming from the software. Hopefully, it will catch up, and we'll have perfect sim racing visuals.
Yep. Unfortunately it’s the software that’s the constant here. Can’t just choose a different sim. Can just choose different screens.
@boostedmedia software gets updated, particularly iRacing. Maybe their new graphics engine will include proper warping for curved screens?
It’s all coming. That being said as we’ve used 48” flats countless times, people just about ALWAYS prefer the look of the curved.
Always the best reviews. Happy New Year 🎉
The echo off the monitors is crazy
You need to try it on Samsung arks - when we first did it it was crazy the echo when you’re in the middle of them.
A lot of work to setup this properly, looks amazing.
Maybe IRacing should add an Option for Radius of Curved Screens 🧐
I almost forgot the original purpose of the “screen saver” until today lol thanks for making me feel old Will 😂
Remember After Dark Toasters?
Triple UST Projector's?
I went from g2 reverb to g9 oled and Im also not sure I could go back haha
We have a monitor that’s essentially the size of 3 55” arks as one bezel free screen.
Sadly, it’s cost more than most cars…. Working on solutions
I drift on beaming with a single 32 inch monitor with moza r 5 bundle. Also I have 800 usd what rig do you think I should buy?
Kick ass monitors these! Hopefully the new 5090 is able to run them at their full potential.
At 11:34 . I think advanced sim racing sells monitor stands that should be able to take triple 65. Not sure but I think they do
Yes they do as do we (we work with ASR)
13:44 nice edit I love it😮
I will have to say that racing seat is awesome but, I would never have that seat for sim racing. The head restraint is right at the edge of your peripheral vision limiting your f.o.v. if you have your head back. Great if you are in a real race car, but pretty much pointless in a sim.
I wonder how the flex curve monitors would work where you can flex them to your liking
I'm running one of these displays and I love it
I think there is also a new curvature tool included with the new pure in AC
Just taggin you here, so you can see my response below.
@@boostedmediawe use them all the time. Essentially told we buy and use more than just about anyone in the world. They are phenomenal
The A/B comparison at 8:00 would make a great reel.
That's not just a field of view, that's the whole farm!
Thanks will keep up the great videos!!
next up should be a triple corsair xenon bendable 45" setup, REALLY customize your curve
Great review will... Merch idea, Boosted Media bycicle helmet design
one thing that i immediately noticed is how with 21:9, flat screens will not be good for triples, because the sides will have to be angled very aggressively.
but with curved displays this isnt the case.
ty i have been struggling with the fov settings with these monitors
btw you can probably set the center one at 1.4dsc and the side ones at 1.4 to run the center one at 240hz. and ofc you wouldn’t be able to nvidia surround
Would be handy to be able to save different profiles for different cars so you could set them once and just load the profile when you jump back in
Hoping this gets you out of the Rookie league Will 👍
Rookie league?
@boostedmedia iRacing
Im not a rookie in iRacing.
@@boostedmedia I was exaggerating 🤦
Sorry. Get pretty sick of the “why is your irating not 5000” comments when I barely ever do offical ranked races in iRacing.
All my displays are OLED or QD-OLED, TV's and monitors included. Got my first OLED screen 7 years ago and there's no going back, I race in VR ,I tried triples using 3 21:9 screens but it was not for me I much prefer VR, sick looking setup btw
I went with MSI 40inch flat screens for triples. Same height as 32in but ultra wide resolution. They are 940mm wide too. $750AUD each so a good price.
Sounds like a great option!
What model number MSI?
Great setup indeed bro but for me screens are too tight in height, just sold my 3x 32" curved for a Samsung Ark 55" curved to have some heigh, Hopefully you could make a review on it, thanks for all the content man !
The best an insane with triples
I'm also using the 39 because of those reasons and it is just perfect in any kind of way for a single screen.
I got used to the lower resolution very quickly.
I don't even notice.
I just built 32 inch curved, centimers from my face with 180° FOV. I only use VR. The screens are beautiful, but stereoscopic vision beats everything.
Not sure if simucube sell something like that
Great video and awesome information. appreciate it as usual!
I have one and it's awesome
Can you review the simmagic p500 pedals? You are one of the few reviewers i can trust
Will tried this. Still had distortion issues...
@ he was using nvidia surround.
Hey Will, I got the same setup and very happy with it. May I asked you what are the in-game graphics setup u are using in ACC? Thanks in advance and keep u the good work!
VR FTW!!
What settings in iRacing can you achieve those frame rates? I have the same setup with triple 32” and cannot get greater than 140’s FPS
@@brettmilner6418I get 165 limiting multi sampling to 2x because of rain… I can run higher but rain kills fps
@@brettmilner6418 with triplets its compeletely fine. 1440p you can get around 140-160fps, depending on curcuit and some more settings. 4k not over 100fps. With only one screen, you will get no problems with 200fps upwards. Ofcourse depending on you gpu
If money was no object, what would be the best triple monitor setup? Ideally something that could be somewhat future proofed?
You can get one the new 5k lg 45” when it comes out and 2 of those monitors for the sides. I think this way will not tank you pc performance.
This is actually the way I would go for an ultimate sim build. Except mine would be 4K monitors lol. I’ll have to wait for the nvidia 50 series
Best thing about selling my triples and going VR is not having to dick around with Nvidia surround and FOV measurments.
Hi Will, wouldn't OLED pannels make night races a blast due to the inky blacks with HDR ? congrats on the setup
Hi @boostedmedia
You mentioned that you see triple 32 inch screens as the sweet spot.
But did i get you correctly that you would recommend flat screens over bend screens for a more accurate fov?
I have right now the Samsung g5 32 inch with r1000. But i do have some unresolved problems wir similar to what you have shown in this video.
Is this the same monitors optimum tech did? When do we get a cross over video from you both haha?
Yep same monitors he has
Question (from someone who's never had triples but is considering them):
Presuming that flat triples have some distance warping near the crossover points between displays (due to the sharp angle difference) does having curved triples essentially rectify that and provide an equal & smooth perspective?
I get what was said in the video about warping compromises (which to me don't seem that significant) but surely the main benefit of curved Vs flat is to improve consistency between displays?
Provided the game supports it (all modern PC SIM titles do, not simcade), it will correct for the angle so you don't see any distance warping at all.
@boostedmedia Many thanks for confirming & many apologies if I'm being dumb in asking. Just presumed that warping fix would be a major factor and don't recall it being specifically mentioned. Maybe you did say or it's not that significant, but thanks again for clarifying.
Great content as usual Will! On a side note, do you have any sight of the new VRS r295 wheel incoming for test?
Thank you so much, that is very informative. Just out of curiosity, have you tried a triple 55 inch, whether a TV or a samsung ark? I have been using triple 55 screen on a 90 degree config, but was very limited on the FPS as I had to use the Vsync to get the screens to avoid tearing on elevation changes. However the scaling is very close to 1:1 with very minimal tweaks. Thank you so much and I wish you and your teams and families all the best for 2025!
My daily driver is triple 65s. I used to run a single 55 but haven’t run 55 triples before.
Should check out simpit technologies, projector on black sceen
Have had my eye on them for a long time now.
If we talk about ACC maybe still try it and see if it makes a difference for you. for FOV calcualtion do it like Will did. take the actual width of the monitor if it was flat and also use that distance to your eyes, so not the actual distance to the middle of the monitor but where the monitor would be when it was flat. then just apply projection correction. unfortunately ACC does not really show what the right amount would be. if i had to guess it would be between 0.3-0.7. maybe have a parked car in front of you filling half of your screen. for me it helps to see warping

hi! have you tried to create an angle on the bezel kit in the other direction to get an angle on the kit itself so that the light from the screens passing through it can do its job?
awesome, just awesome
Your reviews and opinions are great but there is too much black in your studio. I find it hard to see the product material.
Hi Will. Great video as always.
I have just bought tr160, simucube sport, vnm pedals, bavarian simtec alpha steering wheel.
Curious what 27 inch or 32 inch you would recommend for triple setup. Waiting til 50 series cards come out and unsure what combination to go with. I hear more 27 inch 4k monitors will come out this year. Have a budget of about $1000 aud per monitor and unsure if should go 27inch 4k or 27 inch 1440 oled depending on what will fit in budget. Thanks.
Stick with 32”s you won’t regret it
For the amount of money to be spent, i think i would settle for the big screen vr headset. Aleast, in my case, I dont have room for triples
I believe the new 45" is 5120x2160. As much as I'd love an ultrawide with that resolution, I'm already have trouble with gaming at 4K. What I think would be perfect is 3840x1600.
What a beautifull setup Will. Do you think this would be perfect for a single setup? Dont’t really like the ultra wide screens
Perfect is a very strong word, but if you don't like the really wide screens I think you'll love this.
It’s brilliant bud, running with a 4090 and it’s locked at 240hz with everything I throw at it besides ACC.
Nice im already very happy with one of these but yeah sure 3 would be a dream (if the PC can run them) Greetings
can you share your monitor mount information brackets etc.
Curved ones are ideal.
What monitor stand would you use
Great review - super interesting.
Id love to see you do the alienware 32 4K oled - I've got one on a 4090 rig and thinking of making it a triple set up but am guessing id need to run at 1080 to get decent frames.
Nah you'd still get decent frames at 1440 with that card and probably still reasonable at 4k depending on graphics settings.
@ty194 yeah but 4k doesn't scale well to 1440. I mostly VR anywhere so it's only been a thought ATM.
@@AlexeiWatson Okay got it. I just recently picked up that monitor and like you was thinking of going triple. Not used it yet though - I'm currently renovating a room for the setup. VR is awesome, but I do find it a bit of a hassle and commitment though which is why I'm switching to triples. Plus I've got a really nice wheel from BST that I'd like to actually see!
@@ty194 the monitor is unreal, you'll love it. 4K at 240 fps is so unnecessary and great

What about a center curved and two flats on the sides? 😮😮😮
