Simple guppy tank setup video is about making decoration and sharing How to setup a simple FRESHWATER AQUARIUM / tank for guppy? Today we will setup a simple mini Guppy tank, add simple decoration and making all that we need (DIY). You know how these freshwater guppy will look in an aquarium with very minimal decoration? When you acclimate, you are not only acclimating them to the water temperature, but also the new water as well. So it is important for you to add a little bit of the tank water into the water that was used in the bag for acclimating. Because the water parameters in the tank is different than the water used in the bag. That includes water hardness, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, etc.
Thank you for the input. But I haven't got any problems doing so at all with guppies. But if these were goldfish, I will surely do as you suggest :)
@@petfishchannel just because guppies OK with it, doesn't mean u don't have to. The method above should be use without regards of fish species. Just because guppies is alive, doesn't mean they are happy with it

The biofilter work as airpump also, the black foam. So we dont need another air pump

May be use Substrate to plant tree in water. First, help tree grow fast. Second, help guppy fish reduced stress. Thirst, help your fisk tank more beautyful.
And oxygen machine more stronger than your fish tank size.

it's better to remove it. :) So you are sure you have clean water free from bacteria which kills fish

nice advices but u did not use substrate. I think using substrate is a lot better cuz it keeps the fish active searching for food or other stuff and anchors the pant and sometimes the fish likes it too to take rest there on the sand or gravel whatever u use. and could you also tell me after how many days do you clean you tank?

It depends. If you don't want to crossbreed them its better to separate each breed, unless you put all males in an aquarium or all females like what I did in this video.

Hey can anyone tell me what's better for guppies with gravel or without gravel
With gravel; allows beneficial bacteria to grow and serves also as filtration. If you want to take it a step further, you can add sand under the gravel to create a more natural filtration with thinner substrate at the bottom and thicker on top. It is also better for plants although not necessary.
it depends on your preference. For me if you are into mass production, without gravel is best so you can see all the babies and its easy to clean. But if you want it as a home decor, with gravel looks prettier :)

It depends on the temperament of the fish and the gender, generally no, but I have kept a male betta with 2 guppies and 7 neon tetras and they got on well. As betta normally swim at the 1st and 2nd level of your tank you are betta (haha) off getting a bottim dweller

for the water no, you have to wait from 3 days to 1 week for the chlorine to go away which is very dangerous for your fish

You really need a heater
Heater is not always necessary although warmer water is better for the fish. It is always good to monitor the temperature and have one just in case.
It depends where you live, if you're living in a tropical country like ours, heater is not needed

Guppies live best at 22-26 degree Celsius. Make sure your water temperature doesn’t go below 20 degree Celsius. And you’re good to go.

Dont use a powerhead filter.it is too strong and it will suck your guppy into it.sponge filter is always the best as it does mexhanical and biological filteration.Only use a powerhead if you have a really really big tank
any fresh water aqua plant will do for guppy. Power head filter is too strong for them, they might get sucked up :)

And I think it's really awesome that you have at least 7 gallons but you know even if you had about five it's okay.

My two favorite fish are bettas and guppies.
I finally figured out what was killing my fish after 3 years sadly the pH was low and they just couldn't make it but I figured out if you put crushed coral into the filtration system it actually stabilizes the ph and then all you have to do is like or 30% water changes three times a week it's stabilizes the water pretty good
so basically I had a UA-cam channel but I couldn't get people to watch it but that wasn't my main point it was just so I could have videos of my fish that had passed away but I did really get into aquascaping using things that I actually just kind of found and then try to find things products that don't cost too much like hardscaping and gravel which reminds me do you ever put plants that are heavy root feeders into your tanks?
I actually don't like to because I can't get the aquarium soil not to disrupt the water.
What I really want to find in Taiwan are fertilizer capsules but I could just put in root feeders into the gravel and then they have a root tabs that would make it cleaner and easier to work with

Was the water temperature adequate? sometimes you need a heater (I recommend a 50W preset one for 20 GAL). Did you overfeed them? Did you use a water conditioner to remove chlorine? Letting the water rest does not remove chloramine, only chlorine.

Dude why have you put all male guppies in a tank. Do you think they are Gay? What is wrong. Were there no female guppies at the aquarium shop?
Thanks for the thoughts buddy :) Male guppies looks better as home decor than female and if you plan to mix assorted types of guppies in 1 tank, adding a female will result in multiple cross breeding which will result in undesirable babies. I have a separate tank for breeding and each variety is separated in their own tanks

This is fish abuse. Guppies need at least 100 liters. This tank is too small.
They also need substrate, this is where the good bacteria can live. They need a lot of real plants, place to hide etc. Do your research before taking a fish please. Get them a bigger tank.
Thanks for your opinion. Guppies are more resilient to small spaces, it could be the other way around :) Actually there's too much space here for these guppies.
