Hey Jeff, can you pin this if you dont mind? I would like for everyone who didn't read the blog post from SCS that this truck will get more options soon and will get more realistic engine sound as they can't record sounds cause of the pandemic, they were working hard on this truck to be done with it by the time that the Western Star company released the truck(yesterday). So don't be mad that we only have these options as there will be more soon. Enjoy the truck and share on social media and tag SCS Software to show them your creation and as well congratulate them on being the first company to get a brand new vehicle off launch. Happy Trucking!🚛
This is the truth, your American truck simulator streams inspired me to become a truck driver, my main life goal is to drive a hauler for a cup series team!
Awesome vid Jeff! Like you- i've been plagued with bad performance on ATS and I have a high-end rig that can run MSFS2020 on ultra with minimal fuss. I hadn't played it in months because I was so frustrated. Well, I finally found the culprit of my lag woes in ATS. It was Kriechbaums sound mod. I always overlooked it because it was a sound mod not a truck or traffic or even a graphical mod so it shouldn't mess with performance right? Boy! was I wrong... Now I am enjoying the heck out of ATS again. This helped me but everybody's woes can be caused by different mods so people please don't take this as an end all be all solution from me. It happens to be that I uninstalled the mod retested ATS and lags disappeared.
Pavel said the Sleeper and vocational model will be released with Colorado also of note the rumors are true Carthoo or one of the Freightliner guys is back and when 1.39 goes public We will get a double bonus the 49X Sleeper model and the Cascadia XL. Everyone has been asking for this truck for years and now we are about to get it.
Loving all the content Jeff. Always make my day when I see a video come up. Been subscribed since about episode 50 of lcpdfr and your content is just as amazing as it was back then. Thanks for the great years of hard work. You have earned everything you have gotten.
I'm pretty sure that's the same dash layout as the current gen casscadia seeing how western star is a part of Freightliner, just that that was interesting, Volvo does it with Mac too. Anyway love you're videos bro, keep on keeping on
@@archimoose5131 just a shame in real life none of these motors are worth a crap in real life. Cummins is only decent motor left anymore. Eaton fuller is only decent transmission too anymore. Because all these autos in real life have there problems aside from allison but the downside to allison is you can go to 65 maybe 70. Due to a 6-7 spd gearbox. In the future, there are plans for sleeper option! The current in-game options for the 49X are from the only available prototype from Western Star that they could go and scan for the model. According to the Western Star website, we should be getting 4x8 or 6x8 wheelbase options, and maybe options for front axle location (forward or backward set).
After this truck I think they will release the western star 5700. The reason why the cascadia has not been done yet because freightliner won't give their license to sos software and western star did.
Hey Jeff. Just thought I'd say you have the new heavy duty wheels. It was an update to the old custom wheels dlc. The wheels which say wide are heavy duty on the front and for the rears are super singles if you choose wide or you can pick the standard wheels and there is an option for the more heavy duty tires. Love the videos, keep it up.
The Western Star trucks are one of my Favorite trucks of all time. If any of you watch Highway thru hell, the owner uses some Western Star trucks for his tow trucks.
I drove the 4900XL I think it’s called. I’m hoping they include that truck. The only issue that I had in real life was my truck was heavy. Was always over weight.
@Elio nooo cmon 18 WoS Long Haul had nice trucks, they weren't that bad. Detailed trucks and the graphics weren't that bad when you full it. Of course graphics can't beat the ATS, but it definitely wasn't potato
graphics were poor and 1C Games who SCS was working with for Rig and Roll and 18 Wheels of Steel breached. When Carthoo licensed the truck it was with FCA back in 2015 a year later FCA went bankrupt SCS breached contract and Carthoo was let go. Freightliner was sold to Daimler which owns Western Star which they bought from Mack after White went bankrupt in the 90s as for Mack they were sold to Volvo North America it took years for SCS to get a license from them and now that the 49X is out and Carson and SCS are working on the Sleeper model it has moved the Cascadia up we might get it with 1.39 we might get it next year but if COVID keeps going like it is we might not get it.
