I like how they don't show Jake or Alison being killed (similar to the ending with Katie in Grudge 1). They could have worked with that. I would have liked to see Allison and Jake working together, trying to survive somewhere (even though they'd obviously die at some point).

@@brianaguilar8283 Actually they did, when the girl scream when the boy come to the highway, we never knew why she screams, but with this alternate ending we know, she saw both of her parents death and runaway, and then added the twist ending, that Audrey become part of the curse. Is a shame that they didnt added the epilogue, were Audrey kills her own mother.
Don't hate me but I think this ending was so much better since we saw Kayako doing her infamous stairs appearance you know so I prefer this one to the original it was epic.
It was technically all Vanessa's fault because she the one that forces Allison and Miyuki to visit the saeki house with her and made her wanna move back to Chicago Illinois apartment building while carrying the curse with herself that kills everyone in the building from the grudge 2 & 3

Fighting Kayako is no good, She's an Onryo (Vengeful spirit/ghost), Point is she's already dead and she'd kill you immediately without trying plus you can't kill or hurt a dead person

Indeed The Grudge 3 it's just horrible. On top of that, Takako Fuji wasn't Kayako, Toshio looks way too older, Takashi Shimizu did not directed this one. Finally, it follows a lineal story instead of different chapters.

They are both Onryos, but they both work in different ways, Sadako unleash her anger on a tape, Kakayo and Toshio, keep their anger in the house, and spread by the people that they come in contact with, that why Ju On have lasted more than Ringu, Sadako give you seven days, Kakayo isn't so kind.

@@auggiejaime3820 Yeah I known, but rule number on of writers, never break your own rules, sure Sadako and Kakayo are Onryos, Lovecraftian entities before Lovecraft was born, but Sadako have her own set of rules, her medium was always technology, she was limited by that, not matter if it was video tapes or UA-cam videos, but what the writer did is throw all the rules previously establish out the window, that would have worked if he had followed the folklore, if he wanted that Sadako become like Kakayo, the only thing that he could do is that someone destroy the well were she die, because the place that they die is like a prison, they are attached to a place, at contrary of western ghost, if you destroy the place of their death, you unleash them to the world, with western ghost destroying the place destroy the curse.
The Grudge 2's ending had so much potential! It could have gotten so dark and intense.
I'm still in awe that Fuji-san can actually move the way she does as Kayako

I think they deleted this because they didn't want to overuse Kayako crawling down the staircase. We already have a lot of scenes like that.

It's too bad in both versions the encounter between Allison and Jake is too short.
Don't hate me but I think this ending was so much better since we saw Kayako doing her infamous stairs appearance you know so I prefer this one to the original it was epic.
