I had cataract surgery with lens transplant,i am 79 and did great..Got 20/20 vision,but have to use reading glasses to see up close my cell or grocery list..Cataracts have to come out,if not you could go blind..Have it done,best thing you will ever have done❤❤❤❤❤Wish you well. You wont be able to bend or lift for a few days,otherwise,if you follow drs orders,you will do perfect..They did one eye,i had to wait 2 wks and they did second eye..Mine was done here at Eye South in Destin Fl
Brenda, I use a product called Terro to get rid of Ants and it works very good I no longer have those pesky critters you can get it a walmart and ace hardware it's just a small bottle but it works. Love your goulash and your channel I watch everytime you put a video up. Prayers for you and David.

Hi there. I did too. Fooled my kids with extra vitamins.
I use tomato juice. Nutrition on the labels is the same but they don’t taste the same.
I’ve never seen goulash cooked in the oven. David is so funny, inner tube tire. Hahahahaha 😅

I love Goulash, but I’ve never made it like that. I’m going to trying adding the mushrooms next time. I use elbow macaroni.
The spicy V-8 is sooooo yummy to add to dishes your making that need a little more liquid. 😋

I will definitely be praying for your husband. I am so sorry that he has cancer. I hate that stuff. My dad had it so bad. once he found out that he hade it. it was already so bad. he didnt last but a couple of months. I miss him so much. Im so glad that i have mommy and daddy's voice on our videos. my brother ask me the other day how to get to the video. he wanted to hear his daddys voice. I pray that your husband can pull through this. I wish that when the doctor does a physical, that they could look for a cancer cell. Daddy had a physical a couple months before the cancer showed up. it could be a way of getting early detection. most doctors want a yearly checkup before they will do your medication refills. God bless your husband, I will definitely be praying for him

I got my first one done and I dont really need the glasses for the right side. I need them for the left side. lol, So it is driving me up the wall. The left side is to be done on the 28th. I cannot wait. I think that I will only need the glasses for reading. It feels good not to wear them. if the left eye turns out as good as the right side, then I will be so happy. thank you so much for the prayers. God is good.
The best thing I have done is have my cataracts removed. It is not painful at all. When I got my next eye done and after my follow up the next day when I got home I could not believe how clear everything was. It was like having new eyes. You will be so happy and it doesn’t hurt or take long each surgery is short. I’m so happy for you.
That cataract surgery will change your life Brenda. I had both eyes done in November. I had no idea how much difference it would make. Everything is so much lighter and brighter. It was super easy and painless. Greetings from North Mississippi.
my right eye is so good. the doctor said that the right eye was the worse. I get my left one done on the 28th. I dont need the glasses for the right eye now. it is driving me crazy wearing my glasses. I need them for the left eye. I have 6 days to go. Im looking forward to getting it over with. I dont need the glasses for the right. hopefully I won't need it for the left.
by the way, hello in Mississippi. how is it there. I always worry about that state because of all the flooding and storms. I always hope that everyone there are safe.
@appalachiancookingwithbren1411 we are all good here thanks. We fo have some occasional flooding but not often here in the hills. The delta does however get some flooding with continuous raining. I live 90 miles south of the Tennessee line so flooding from hurricanes is pretty minimal here.

I've never seen goulash like that before . I have always made it and my momma did too . Used fresh vegetables, no meat or noodles . It was more like a thick soup . Delicious.
Hey Sweetheart you make your goulash however you want to. That's the good thing about it. I make a veggie goulosh with fried potatoes, squash onions peppers, maybe even add some zuchinni, and fresh garlic, salt and pepper to add along with our eggs. You can make this anyway you want. 👍❤
Never thought of corn .I'm going to try.I have always put a noodle or pasta in my goulash . Goulash is made a lot of different ways .Depends on the nationality. David gets you going so easy . He seems like an easygoing guy and loves pulling jokes . Thanks for sharing. ❤
he does. we both got a good dose of it. my family were all nuts. my brother and my sisters are a mess. when we all get together, then it is a lot of laughing an so much fun..its a hoot being around David too. I had 2 cataract surgeries and I am a big chicken but it was nothing to it ..easy and you will be able to see so much better ..The colors of everything look so pretty !!! That looks so good makes me hungry for it..Will make it soon..Love Watching you and David!!!

Brenda, your goulash looks good I never thought to bake it in the oven.... David if you set off Bombs for ants be sure you cover the kitchen dishes and food items because the cloud from the bomb will put a coating on everything..I learned that the hard way....Brenda, I've had cataracts removed from both eyes and it's wonderful. The surgeon said I had 3 Cataracts on one eye LOL>..I couldn't believe it...Good luck to both of you..Thank you for the video...keep 'em coming...OKLAHOMA Greetings to both of you

You should have mixed the noodles (cooked) with the meat mixture and cook it until it all gets hot at same time. Can sprinkle the parmesan cheese on the top of each bowl as you like it. Serve

Cataract surgery is a breeze…sure beats going blind! Lol. You will love your new clear eyesight.
Hi Brenda. I use to work for an ophthalmologist who did many successful cataract surgeries. He even allowed me to observe several. I don't recall any of them not being successful. A cataract is when the lens of the eye clouds over and it is like trying to see out of an extremely dirty window. They remove the old cloudy lens and replace it with a new clear one so it is like looking through a sparkling clean window. You will be surprised at how vibrant colors are .My dad described it like someone turning on the light. Be sure to accurately follow the instructions they give you concerning eyedrops before and after surgery as well as not bending are lifting for a certain length of time .In some instances people may have a little cloudiness. If this happens they will zap it with a laser to clear it up. It is one of the easiest surgeries to go through. My recommendation is you let one eye completely heal before doing the second one. The doctor I worked for wouldn't do the second until the first was completely healed. They tried that with both my mom and dad, but I said no, we will be back for the second one when this one is healed. Unfortunately the wonderful doctor I had worked for died in a plane crash, so we had to find another doctor. Prayers for a successful surgery and quick healing. I'm sure you will do well. Hugs

Cataract surgery is a breeze. At least for me. Brenda, I haven't watched for a long time. You look really nice. I love your recipes. I used to make goulash all the time. My son used to love it. But I didn't bake it. You can not make a little bit of goulash. You had better like it for sure. Take care you two.

Brenda my husband had cataract surgery 35 years ago and he had me terrified but my surgery went fantastic and less painful than a dental cleaning just take it easy an you will be so thankful take care and prayers are with you love your videos

Hi Brenda and David. Always so happy to see your videos. My mom came from Romania which is right next to Hungary where goulash supposedly came from. She used potatoes, hot dogs or sausages and tons of paprika. Goulash is kind of like a stew, so anything could go in it. I never liked boiled potatoes. I make mine similar to yours. You two are the best.

Brenda don’t be scared. I have had this done and it was over before I knew it. I found cataract surgery to be the easiest surgery I have had. I went back to work the next day. It doesn’t take 20 minutes if that long from the time they took me in the operating room until I was headed to rehab I was on my way home 30 minutes after heading to recovery. You look so cute in your skorts. I love them

Yes.. Brenda I think you were talking about Sjogren Syndrome which affects the body’s moisture. Effects from Autoimmune symptoms.
Lots of my family and friends have Autoimmune diseases, including R.A. Such dreadful symptoms. The side effects even have side effects !😣Bless your heart. Will be praying for your upcoming cataract surgery’s.

The best goulash (and 1st one ) was in rural Vermont in the late 1990s at a Czech diner.It was just meat with gravy served with eggy bread.There were no funny looking veggies with it.I had it again in Vienna and Prague with potato dumplings.
I had this all my life but it was made a little different, and it was never bake this is the best
Cataract syrgery is considered a routine outpatient surgery. There are very few complication. Blessing for a soeedy recovery. Most people can return to work the next day.
Get some good sunglasses for after your surgery. I had both eyes done in 2017. I have to always wear sunglasses in the sun now. The surgery fixed my long distance vision…but did away with my up close vision...so get you some strong reading glasses for up close. They can use lenses that are magnifying…but insurance won’t cover those….and they couldn’t guarantee me I wouldn’t need glasses anyway. I’m sure it will all go good. Prayers it will.
