    I once flew into the United States onboard a Military Transport bound for London.
    For reasons of operational necessity I was offloaded at a Military Airfield and given a Taxi to the local Civilian Airport to continue My Journey on a Civilian Aircraft.
    Unfortunately because of how I arrived in the United States Customs had no record of Me ever entering the Country.
    Took quite a few phone call and some Military Police from the Air Base, but eventually I was allowed to leave the country, legally.

  • @JenniferPChung
    @JenniferPChung Рік тому +171

    Wait wait wait... am I getting this right? They were guided to the wrong door(s) so they didn't go through customs. They spent a great deal of time waiting for their luggage that never came... while no one in the airport security or customs department guided them back through the proper channels? I think they could have easily looked at the security cameras to see if it was an honest mistake or if something shady happened. And as insurance, they have their passport info. anyway, so this feels like it was made a much bigger deal than it needed to be.
    Yes, mistakes happen but all the passages that dealt with this need to be fully reimbursed for their plane tickets and other bookings.

  • @RoyalMela

    Airline is not to blame. No airline employees can just go and open doors at airport. Airports are operated by... well, the airport staff. Airlines are the customers. Unless there was a gate agent who specifically worked for WestJet and not for the airport, then you can partially blame the airline. But airports are high security areas and airlines have no access to airport facilities such as doors and other things like that.
    Airlines are like hotel customers. They pay for the stay and services, but that's it.
