A very proud and typical NK-pop song. The high soprano vocalise part in the third verse sung by Pak Mi-kyong (박미경) is so very characteristic for Moranbong Band arrangements.
When it comes to the Moranbong Band's musical qualities, the lyrics (which I partly had a hard time trying to translate...) seem to fit reality quite well.

The small technobreak gets me everysingle time
OH MY GOD SAME
That alone makes this arrangement of ‘With Pride’ the best in my opinion. Not to mention Pak Mi-kyong’s high soprano backing vocals in the last verse, which are absent from a later performance of this song.

I love it! Exquisite, superlative, mesmerizing...Zigeunerweisen (did I spell it correctly?) has been at the top of my "watch-listen-marvel" list for decades, and these ladies rock it!
I am listening this band everyday, last week, all songs. I think this is the best song and best performance. I really like interesting moments in music and dance. Girls are very beautiful, voices also super. Unfortunately, I could not go to North Korea for to listen this girls in live concert, but if they come to Greece (which is also difficult), will be great!

A great sounding (And beautiful) group. Interesting to note that this groups uses electronic stringed instruments but the orchestra behind them has the traditional wooden strings.
I love to watch these Moranbong videos. The girls are beautiful and talented. .

Kim Sol-mi might have a newborn baby right now. No one knows as there is no celebrity scandal press in North Korea... You might check out gugak singer Song So-hee (송소희). Lyrics are appr: Dokdo have you slept well tonight? There are hard winds (the Japanese). 2nd verse: Clear water flows from Mt. Kumgang (North Korea) out to the East Sea. Fresh water flows from Mt. Seorak (South Korea) to the East Sea. 3d verse: By boat from Mt. Paektu via Tumen river (North Korea). By boat from Mt. Halla (South Korea). We will meet at Dokdo (to defend it together against the Japanese). Refr: We will go hand in hand over the Arirang pass.

I'm not surprised that he compares Kim Sol-mi and Song So-hee to each other. In the MB-band Gugak genre (folk music) is most closely represented by Kim Sol-mi. Why not ...maybe they will sing Arirang together... after the reunification.
