    Enhanced goes against the whole point of it being a "one-shot" challenge, so I would go 1hp vanilla. The one change I would find acceptable is if there's an update to useless spells/items.

    Fully agree with the approach of vanilla as primary mode with rebalanced being used only where absolutely necessary. The whole fun of this type of mod is puzzle solving how to utilize the single HP each unit has, and any divergence from that feels like you're then just playing a mod that happens to have faster time-to-kill.

    I would vote for vanilla. I guess I could be wrong when it comes to creating interesting viewer content, but I think it makes the undead and orc campaigns SO different and fun.
    Meat Wagons and Demolishers become so incredibly valuable. Strategy runs so opposite of what I normally plan for in the campaigns.
    It seems like adding health to melee changes it from “Develop Unique Strategy” to “Build Enough Melee to Overwhelm”. But hey, I’m here for the content either way. 😂 I had a great time with these campaigns.

    Edit2: Watching Ace's protoss campaigns now, having no changes makes many of these missions just incredibly tedious and un-fun. I think the changes are good, though I agree it should be spells only not fiving melee more than 1 HP...
    Edit3: The spell changes are all bad???
    Edit4: Jay should choose mission-by-mission which version to use, for fun and sanity. It would be nice if the modder made the version you described, with spell changes but no HP changes

    Oh we are back bay-be! I agree that the changes for rebalanced are a bit too much, the spells only would've been just fine... :<
    Some more damage point facts! Abom 0.5, acolyte 0.4, banshee 0.56, crypt fiend 0.64, frost wyrm 0.5, gargoyle 0.33 (AA), 0.63 (ground), ghoul 0.39, meat wagon 0.7, necro 0.53 and Arthas 0.56. In theory footmen do cause damage to Arthas faster, but that's before factoring in the agility, so that +1 ring is really helping! xd

    Heeeeyy! Welcome back! It's great to hear your voice again!
    I'm not sure how much difference the hp change makes. I guess the only way to find out is to fully test it. But in the end, I'm leaning heavily towards the vanilla version. I think it calls for smarter planning and a more fun mental challenge.
    Edit: and maybe crazier cutscene shenanigans! 😂

    In my opinion, Undead campaign seems like it could be beaten without any enhancement, a combo of Necromancers and Meat Wagons is a fairly comfortable force to roll over the rest of the missions (besides the first Dalaran one unless there are changes made). Orc campaign, however, could use some changes, at least for the first several missions...

    Crypt fiends have quite a big hitbox, which means their movement will be worse than, say necromancers, also supply and cost issues. On the other hand crypt fiends can burrow, so they are great for kiting a melee enemy army.
    And I support the vanilla 1 hp.

    I feel like the spirit of one-shot is not there in the Rebalanced version. So, I vote to do Vanilla version in general. But if things get hard/impossible, go for Rebalanced version

    Well I dno if ur interested... but for static units a word of advise:
    Lure the enemy away.... when they leash - rush in with arthas + boots and u can kill them as they leash back to there static location. They cant swing at you if they are facing AWAY From you as they leash.
    Doesn't matter what u choose to do, Goodluck Jay.

    Glad you're back. While you were gone a bunch of new warcraft content you need to see dropped. The Arthas keeps losing, Garithos saves Lordaeron, you're set for content for awhile.

    I am curious how things will be rebalanced for the Enhanced mode, though I agree it takes the "one-shot" spirit away.
    Maybe try Vanilla first, and only do Enhanced if it becomes very tedious or impossible?

    Mmm I think the rebalanced seems fun, honestly, I think you'll find it to be a puzzle-like all the same, In fact, I'd argue it's more of a puzzle because you have more resources and options to manage

    Agree with the middle option. After all in SC2 one hit point only Medics were given Irradiate. I would pick vanilla, but feel free to play rebalanced if necessary.
    Quite the bummer to remove Unholy Aura's regeneration in a mode where some units have more than 1 hp.

    I agree that if things don’t die in 1 hit it defeats the purpose. Side point: if things still deal normal who cares, most things do at least 3 damage.

    I am the mod maker for Starcraft 2: 1 Hp mods.
    I want to add my thoughts on it as they may prove insightful. The player base desires a lot of different and at times contradictory stuff all at once: purity players want zero changes other than 1 hp, challenge players want a super challenge (divine shield is a cheat), exploration players who want to see the various mechanics and explore different unit comps (Grant, 7th Ace), speedrunners (7th Ace, jarborino with invulnerability previous campaign) and casual player who want to try new mods but not have them be nightmare difficulty (me). As soon as you cater to one group it can be harder to cater to other groups so compromises have to be made. One strategy that I attempted with WoL was enabling the player to make some adjustments to make it easier or harder, which is the vanilla vs enhanced here, this resulted in a lot less, "This campaign is too easy with mass marines".
    For making the mod, it is easiest to make a vanilla mod with everything 1 Hp and then go back and fix issues as they pop up and deal with areas that get a lot of complaints. As playtesting happens, you get a feel for what missions are easy and might need a difficulty boost or which ones are nightmares and need a little buff for the player (HotS mission 3). For SC2, Terran were too easy since people struggled at not doing mass marines, Zerg were reasonably balanced with minor adjustments, and Protoss were a mess and took a ton to make them playable.
    For Warcraft 3, the difficulty balance mechanics are even more limited (HOTS Kerrigan can adjust abilities and Zerg units change focus) with a bigger focus on melee units so this makes it even harder. Adjusting spells is a good idea, I did it in LotV with SOA. Making different units have 1,2,3 hp is a way of trying to keep the low health spirit while enabling more units to be viable, honestly some rts games might not be suited for 1 hp but have a viable low health version. I did that for a 'hero' mission by boosting the armor but basically the same thing. At times stuff needs to be reframed, I did it with the naming of the mod from Paintball to 1 Hp Paintball to Grant's One Shot. or 1 HP. One mission in the HotS people were complaining about a lot so I reframed it and I have not heard a complaint since but dread. So it might be that the mod maker just needs to rename the versions to say, you can do the 1 Hp vanilla but do not blame me if you lose your sanity or it is impossible with the other one something like fine tuned for a playable experience with low health, or make the names more humorous but convey the idea.
    At the end of the day, a mod is made by the modder and they decide what it means (unless they are paid and then it is conversation between them and the payer). I decided 1 Hp spirit for the mod I made in Starcraft 2 was everything is 1 Hp (minus 2 missions), abundant resources, absurdity, some trolliness and anything that makes me laugh or smile. It was fun to make and people seem to enjoy it even with its flaws. The mod maker here is trying to find a balance for Warcraft 3 and it may take them a bit of time to settle on something or add more versions, I had over a year and they had 3 to 4 months.

    I think the best version would combine the enhanced version with Brood War's 1 HP, useful spells, 1 HP for everything, and instantly respawning Arthas.

    Personally, I don't like the changes for normal units. I'm okay with Heros having more than one HP, but normal units should be 1HP. Although I don't know about the mission that has that anti UD zones. This might require some more HP (or spells that deals with it in another way).

    I am always in favour of using enhanced versions when available, but if you're feeling this conflicted about using it I recommend just playing the regular 1-HP version.

    only thing i could image would be a problem though is the anti dead "barrier" that will be mission mechanic later on, no idea how thats gonna work and units such as infernals with aura that just kills stuff around them if they dont get shot by ranged, though that then has me wondering how do units with reduction damage work xD

    I suggest u to pick rebalanced itself as there is some resistance. If it's vanilla I think that mission where u have to kill Antonio's would be almost impossible.

    one try on vanilla, if you fail, next try on rebalanced, and back and forth.

    Altered, *cause I want to see if Cannibalism is altered or not, since you didn't check here.* And I want to see how spells and units are made usefull.
    Also, the HP thing shouldn't affect THAT much once you have ranged units, since it essentially would be range spam-fest in most cases!

    Why..... Why did you sacrifice those ghouls for skeletons? Skeletons have less damage, attack speed, movement speed and health than ghouls(in a normal game), I THINK they get better armor than ghouls through upgrades, but that wouldn't really matter here, so idk, should've sacrificed the skeletons? 😭😭😭

      Because it had no impact on the end result. If keeping the Ghouls over the Skellies would have meant winning over losing then I would have thought about it more. Also, I expected my Ghouls to attack faster and win the engagement, but they didn't.
