I won’t buy the Cloud Paints just purely because they’re in squeeze tubes. 👎🏻 Makeup by Mario is the one for me! (Also, I’m not a color theory person, but the shades of MbM look better than Glossier.)
I have a significant amount of pan in my makeup by Mario skin enhancer. Thanks for this amazing video because I will probably buy his liquid bronzer when I finish it as I love the formula, but the open pan attracts cat hair fluff etc like crazy 😂.
I’m actually a little sad that the KVD Mod-Con Liquid Gel Contour product came out when it did because it hit the market years before these and it’s really easy to blend, the fair shade is a great color that works for shaping the face for fair skin, and it doesn’t move around the makeup underneath and it dries transfer proof. I’m thinking I might just repurchase that instead of trying something new, which is a little sad because it’d be nice to try something a little more current/relevant.
Would you ever use the Mario shade 2 as your bronzer and/or not bronze on top of it? And how do the Laura Mercier powder and the Make Beauty powder compare?
As an olive…I use cool gray-toned contours as blush lol (current fave is Em Cosmetics Terra). They go rosy on me? It’s weird to have such a warm skin tone (in a color wheel sense) but mostly only look good in cool tones. I did recently pick up Glossier Swept just for something new to play with.
Same here! Cool grey tone products always turn a rosy color, and light/warm products always turn into a slightly more nude-y blush color, and *almost* all bronzers are straight up orange on me. Swept is awesome, also bought as soon as Kackie mentioned good for us green girlies in her first video on them.
Do you think that the liquid version of the Makeup by Mario bronzer will last longer? The one in the pan didn't last very long for me but I absolutely love it! I use a little bit of the second lightest shade as "foundation" - I apply it in a couple of spots where I need a bit of coverage but I really don't apply much at all. It is just so pretty!!!!! PS - I am with you on the Saie products! I am a rosy medium toned person which is challenging and Saie's products are terrible for me! PPS - the simpler eyes really suit you!!!!!

Thank you for mentioning the olive undertone issue. So many people recommend a reddish bronzer for pale skin, but it looks weird to me. Yellow ish ones seem to work much better. Light Merit shades and the lightest LYS powder work well for me. I’m a light cool olive
I loved the previous generation of Glossier bronzers - the deepest tone with the subtle red shimmer was such a beautiful tone - too saturated for my light olive skin right out of the tube but mixed with my tinted moisturizer it’s wonderful! I love your appreciation of undertones!!

I had such hopes that the Saie in Salt would be a replacement for my Danessa Nutcracker, which is my holy grail bronzer, bc it's been out of stock for months. (Cool tone gal here; everything goes super orange/warm on me). But thanks for saving me the money.
As a light olive (basma 35) the MBM skin enhancer in light medium was one of the only bronzers (not contours) that didn’t turn orange on me. So I blew through it in 5 months 😂😂
I like the mario in fair alot because I'm what it called an " Albino" skin tone all of my foundations are almost literally white and even though it's a good shade match I HATE looking so stark white So I love the bronzing serum to put a light veil of suddle deeper color to my face Thank you so much for all of your hard work on this video It really helped me

I know the rare beauty bronzer isn't liquid, but it IS my favorite bronzer. For some reason all rare beauty products break me out terribly though...hopefully one of the bronzers in this video won't break me out!
interesting. I have found that the saie bronzers are more neutral which I love because I can wear the shade without it being orange. I really like them. I'm not a fan of glossier at all. but I think I'll try the Mario. out of curiosity.
I love both the Saie and Glossier for different reasons! I'm tempted to buy the Mario's one for testing purposes but it's mad behaviour as I'm not an influencer 😄

I'm a light neutral/olive and recently picked up the Saie in the spritz color (darker but more rosy which works with my olive). I found it looked dark upon application but sheered out easily.

That was so helpful. I was torn between the 3. I think I"m going to have to go back to Sephora and test MBM and Glossier together. I didn't like the texture of the Saie product--although I have 2 sun melts--which I love. Hands down my favorite, texture wise, is my KVD gel-contour. It spreads and dries down perfectly.

Since Saie is oil based, I see it as an affordable alternative to Drunk Elephant dbronzi. So it's something that I'd mix into my moisturizer to bronze up my skin before sunscreen and makeup. I wouldn't use it as a bronzer, it doesn't seem like it would work that way.
Yeah which would also explain why they're so much more neutral in undertone. So as not to alter a complexion product's temperature too much. Good on them for making multiple shades vs these brands putting out one and calling it universal.
Went into Sephora the other day and saw that face palette from makeup forever and had to physically restrain myself from purchasing. Like I legit had to leave the store then and there 😂😂😂

I’ve been really liking the Saie. I got the shade Spritz, and it’s a neutral with a slightly reddish undertone. I am barely more tan than Kackie if at all, and I wonder if she would like that shade better. I think the lighter shade Sand would be too yellow on me. I’m interested to see if she continues to try out the product. I put it on my hand and pick up with a brush or sponge and never had an issue with a patchy blend. Also the original Saie potted bronzer is my favorite bronzer, the light shade also has a bit of a reddish undertone.
@@fiammag84 I am going to try sand, Spritz is slightly too deep on me right now. Also, in a drier environment I have had more issues with it drying down too quickly and acting patchy, but I still like the formula. I wish it had a pump instead of the doe foot!
