This video really helped me understand Kanye's interlude "I Love Kanye" from his album "The Life of Pablo." So many people use the first few lines to reference the Old Kanye that people and fans miss. These folks want to vicariously identify themselves through Kanye, but to do that, they wish he would return to a less outspoken and more toned down Kanye. The new Kanye became more outspoken and bold, is unapologetic about his thoughts and who he is. He's real for that, and the people who don't like the new Kanye are the people who are still uncomfortable with being their true selves. These are the type of people who would rather be toned down and more reserved to save face than to fully enjoy what life has to offer to their fullest extent. Honestly, the new Kanye is more authentic than the Kanye of the past, and for him to return to his past self, I think, would be letting the media win and letting the dissenters win. Kanye wants to change on his own terms, not be bullied by the media or haters into becoming their idealized puppet.
The problem with owning up to your own faults is what you do with it. Now you are responsible for improving them, for being better. If you are still doing the same things 10 years later, what did you really own up to?

This is kinda irrelevant but I’ll never change my mind on the fact that Kanye was right on the VMAs thing. Just because the average musician is spineless doesn’t mean they shouldn’t call out the system for their BS. Kanye himself literally gave away prizes he won to artists He thought were more deserving on stage so when he sees someone not do the same, well it leads to this.
He wasn't right about the VMA thing, both Taylor and Beyonce turned in masterpieces that year. "You belong with me" currently sits at 1.4 billion views, "single ladies" sits at 920m. Ye said "but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time", but the thing is that Swift did too, and I wonder if Ye even knew her song and video at the time of his outburst. Both could easily be listed as top 10 all time female music videos. So it was a tough award decision either way.

the ballerinas on the stage just rolling around on the floor (around 3:05)
This is kinda irrelevant but I’ll never change my mind on the fact that Kanye was right on the VMAs thing.
Just because the average musician is spineless doesn’t mean they shouldn’t call out the system for their BS. Kanye himself literally gave away prizes he won to artists
He thought were more deserving on stage so when he sees someone not do the same, well it leads to this.
he didn’t have to do it with taylor on the stage tho, it’s not her fault the vmas made a mistake and it really did upset her
@@ikrobbiefox8835 who cares? The whole world is a stage so we would like to have people give their most and take less.
@@iyziejane Single ladies is an absolutely garbage song.
@@dxfifa true yeah, everything Beyonce has done is garbage
