Etwas vom Besten in Sachen Musik was jemals aus Österreich gekommen ist. Falcos Musik war einfach Genial, wir sind voll darauf abgefahren. Eine Legende.
Schade das ich diese Legende nicht miterleben durfte. Genialer Musiker! Damals, Heute und für Immer!!!!!

I am French and I love Falco since 1982. It was a "revolution " in Austria and I discovered him with "der Kommissar". After, I discovered all his album "Einzelhaft", a jewel... and his first song "Ganz Wien", poignant.
His death was terrible; he could not fight effectively against his addictions that led him to the worst, and in total personal and professional solitude.
Das am meist unterschätzte Lied Falkos. Auch heute brandaktuell.

Eine ehemalige Freundin bat mich, Falco nach einem Autogramm zu fragen und dass er an unseren Tisch in einem Lokal im 9. Bezirk kommen sollte. Er saß gerade mit einem Musikerkollegen zusammen. Tatsächlich kam er rüber und gab das Autogramm auf einer Serviette. Ich fand das sehr cool und äußerst freundlich, dass er extra seinen Tisch verließ, um einer Fannin eine Freude zu bereiten. I saw him once live, he played brilliant bass guitar and his vocals were legendary. He was so sympathic and such a great performer.
The press and media at this time and before always tried to set him under a bad light and provokate him with foolish interviews, talk shows..he never lost his face, always smart, funny, a real gentlemen and cool cat. We loved him. What a loss.

Too bad that his career is derailed, it has been underestimated, not fully understood and today it can only be rediscovered through youtube. As happened to me. Undoubtedly my favorite artist ever and I couldn't live him in my life. Totally genius, clearly too much, too ahead of his time, he was so different. A modern pop-rock-hip hop Mozart, blending languages, master of fun, entartaining and style. What a show. Why the hell media don't remember this guy??? I have to reiterate these comments periodically, really. The guy is not remembered by media for the unique talent he was. Imagine Falco in today's music with artists as Weeknd blending 80s wave, synth pop, hip hop, rock and that retro chic-iconic style, leading everywhere. Falco was ahead of 40 years. LOL. he would have been in 2061 if he still alive.

Ich hab die ganze Einzelhaft-LP damals so oft rauf und runter gespielt, bis die Plattennadel alle war. Die Musik war der Gipfel von "no future".
Ich liebe diesen Typen einfach seit es ihn gibt. ❤ Die deutsche Sprache hat nicht genug Adjektive ihn zu beschreiben. Einzigartig einfach. Seiner Zeit voraus. Einfach Falco. Das Problem? Hans Hölzel wusste es! Soviel Talent haben die Neider damals aber nicht vertragen. Und es lässt die Seele des Menschen verkümmern, dass er immer mehr Neider hat als Bewunderer.
Ich weiss nicht ob er heute, in dieser wohlstandsverwahrlosten Neidgesellschaft, einen leichteren Stand hätte. 🤔 Wahrscheinlich nicht. Gibt es die Epoche die ihn ohne Wenn und Aber einfach nur gefeiert hätte? Wohl kaum. Legenden müssen wohl früh sterben, damit die zurück bleiben den Wert erkennen. Ich weine um diese verkannte Menschenseele, während ich die charismatische Kunstfigur bewundere.

Er war wirklich einzigartig, mit unvergleichlichem Charisma und Charme.Und was für ein außergewöhnliches Tandem mit Robert Ponger. Von Anfang an hatte er alles über sein Universum geschrieben. und ich liebe das Album Data de Groove, auf dem wir diese künstlerische Freiheit von 1982 in einem völlig anderen Stil finden. Einzelhaft und Data de Groove, 2 Alben, die meine Stereoanlage nie verlassen; you tube ist nicht genug für mich.

I had two favorite musicians when I was a child. When I was 8, Freddie Mercury died, me and my parents were very sad about it. A month later, when I turned 15, I heard that Falco died in a car accident, and it was a real tragedy for me. His songs inspired, supported and spread positivity and joy to all who admired them.
Legend, died way too soon. May have had his best in front of him.

I have talked before about this man this amazing song which coulda been a hit. His voice the singing and that sharp snapping beat really make this song. Very catchy. Great drive and pace to this song. It makes you want to run and dance at the same time well it does for me anyway.

I think this song is my all time favorite of Falco's. Love everything about it. The way he sings it and the instrumental. Makes me feel as cool as him even though I am not. lol
It’s true that this song is very beautiful. I also like Ganz Wien, Einzelhaft der Kommissar. His first album "Einzelhaft" is for me a great reference, like the album "Data de groove" which was a commercial flop. In his other albums, there are " The sound of musik, No answer, Titanic, Monarchy now, Wiener Blut.
I also like "Mutter dern Mann mit dem Koks ist da" : for me , it is "the mirror" of "Ganz Wien" and "der Kommissar"; the clip of this song is very interesting , cause it shows well this imprisonment of Falco in drugs, who in the confessional, calls his mother, almost asks forgiveness in the eyes of all. I think it’s great this bias he took not to sing on this music to the rhythm hammering like hell of this drug that destroys your brain; he speaks in painful sighs; when I look at him, tears rise to my eyes... hello from a french fan since 1982.
