Bezalel Jaeger 308 I agree because what u r implying when u say God does not exist. For those who wrote the Bible, it was a way to create an all seeing eye that could dictate culture & society. Obviously men writing a book that supports a hierarchy of men. Then churches become power structures that rule like kings. Still to this day pastors seek monetary gain & power. For some its just an easy way to make a living. For many in the pulpit its a response to fear. People feel alone & they prefer to believe they r special & loved, that humans in general r the center of the universe. They need prayer to sleep at night. Make believe magic, the idea that we can have some control over the things we fear. That we can alter or skew an outcome by using our minds or words. But after all of that, deep down inside, every person knows that magic is not real. There is not an all powerful daddy in the sky hoping to save us all. We dont get to negotiate a beautiful afterlife. We r all organisms just like ants or even bacteria. We r not the center of the universe, nothing was made for us. Most of all, we get one beautiful opportunity called life. Make the best of it.
Bezalel Jaeger 308 Yes. Most of our natural choices r designed to push us to survive, to keep the species alive. Hunger, rest, breeding, even love & the tendency to create a family structure. Asking why we do anything is the same as asking why dont the bees in the hive attack the queen?? Why do the ants create a body bridge to cross the water??
@@friedricengravy6646 I am glad that though you completely disagree with the speaker of this video you listen to it (I assume) and also engaged in conversation with a dissent opinion. As a “naturalist” I supposed you would defend the continuation of the human race making RvsW a bad thing logically, but I also know that some people like you think we (humanity) are a “plague” that is destroying “mother earth.” In any case, here is some food for thought: If humanity is not more important than bacteria in your book, and we are a randomized clump of cells, what’s the purpose of life? How can you rise every morning believing nothing really makes sense? Is this really all that is? And why do you care, if you care for anything at all? I believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Glorify Him includes exercising dominion over creation which means taking care of it and procuring its flourishing and all the while enjoying the goodness of God from a beautiful sunset, the smiles in your family and friends, to the written word He inspired. Because of Him, we can also defend against injustice, we can die with honor if necessary with not fear. “In Him, we live and move and have our being.” Paul, Acts 17. That's what Christians are, people with a purpose.
Brother Doug, thank you for speaking more on the nuances of smashmouth incrementalism. In a way, I see we are appropriating the strategies (without the ideaolgy) we have seen from zealous feminist movements, BLM, KGB and the more intentful behind pride culture proven to influence politcal infrastructure/cutlure and inflitrate politcal seats of power. Genius! As you respectfully granted, I (and others) cannot participate in the 'smashmouth' way with a good conscience because God declares woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and write prescribed grievousness (Isaiah 10:1). My encouragement is that this does not leave us who can't support Smashmouthcrementalism on the bench. In fact, via prophetic ministry built on God's Word abolitionists have been able to faithfully reflect God's stance in the public square which has made for histroically unprecedented progress - indeed, it has significantly brought forth bills of abolishment and the overturning of Roe v. Wade. More importantly, a bold unwavering witness to the authority of Christ. We should all move forward in good conscience, whatever approach that leads us to take. But I plead to you, and any beloved reading this to now consider how much more effective and faithful we would be as aboltionists not just under the sun, but The Son who is sovereign. See, nothing happens without The Triune God's decree and He has breathed out not only Isaiah 10:1, but Psalm 94:20 and Isaiah 5:23. God clearly cursed those in the book of Isaiah who acquit the guilty because of a bribe and consequently deprived the innocent of justice. They took a bribe in gold, and I fear we are taking bribes in legislation via smashmouth. For example, murderers are clearly acquitted by a bill allowing perpetrators to kill humans without a heartbeat. The intention for taking the bribe is good, but see clearly we do what God has been moved to incur serious woe on - we can't expect God to bless what is antithetical to His character. We don't have to take a bribe to do good, and I would present to the church it is impeding our good work from being done. God asks all of us this "Can a corrupt throne be Your ally--one devising mischief by decree?" The answer seems clear to me: no. Whilst we may believe we can take an incremental bill and dismantle a corrupt throne by playing along, these bills of partiality are really just bondage for the kids, for you and I. The bribes we accept as a church binds us to what is woe-worthy, and depraved justice. We need to lead in way reflective of God's character and Word. I want to be clear I say this in good spirit, and with no intention to condemn, bu to rally us to good faith - the Grace of God is for us all who believe - despite ourselves. I for one would be somewhere far hotter than Australia otherwise. Let us all have peace and joy in Christ regardless of these matters, because the gates of Hell will not stand against the kingdom.
As I said at the beginning of Trump's presidency, Donald Trump is NOT a King David type (many evangelicals were making that silly comparison). But he just might be a King Jehu. I was right.
The key is to have a big picture view of God's reality and vote accordingly knowing that the individual you vote for is a mere tool in the toolbox, and not the hope of humanity in of themselves. Politicians are a means to God's end no matter what, and we should maintain awareness that we are on the Titanic - not a Disney cruise ship. Our job is to point in the direction of the lifeboats. It is absolutely correct that the fight will move to the State legislatures.

8:20 NO NO NO. The government DOES have the right, and the DUTY, to specify the unborn child's right to life by specifically outlawing abortion. MORE humility, gratitude, and Holy Spirit please LORD.
His point is that the government does not grant rights. That's how pro-aborts think. They think rights come from governments. But rights are given by God and the state's duty is to uphold the rights given by God. That's how we should think.
@@DonJewett1971 "So in the next phase of this battle, it is crucial that we not fall into the trap of thinking that the government has the authority to grant the right to abortion, OR TO TAKE AWAY THE RIGHT TO ABORTION." - Doug Wilson, 8:20ish in the above video. Incrementalism doesn't become cool or uncompromising just because you put "smash mouth" in front of it. And when an abolitionist says that a piece of prolife legislation is compromise and argues in favor of abandoning incrementalism, mouths smashed or not, and seeking immediate abolition they aren't being mean or factious. They are doing what you are doing, arguing from conviction for the strategy that they believe to be God honoring and expedient.
Abels blood cried out against Cain, against the murderer, and not against the righteous. God made a distinction in Egypt with the children of Israel, but if they would partake of the same sins as Egypt, they would perish in the wilderness. Those who are against the sins of others, such as abortion, will not be judged along side those who lust after the blood of the innocent being shed. God is going to judge the unbelievers and not the believers. If a bolt of lightning was, by God, to strike down upon those who are sinning grievously and would not repent, then if a believer happened to be standing close to the unbeliever, then God would make sure that the lightning bolt would not hurt the believer and only hurt the unbeliever.
Wrong. Christ is building His Church. Believers still sin everyday. All of life is grace. Apart from Christ you can do nothing. Wicked men do not assist The Church. Bad theology.

Wrong. We were created in the moral image of God...Then, the Fall. After that we bear sin and the image of Adam. God is spirit. He does not have a body or look like us. You need to study more.
Not entirely correct. “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image." -- Genesis 9:6 Murder of man is clearly an attack on the image of God -- deicide in effigy, I believe Rushdoony described it. But the same passage ordains man -- because he is made in the image of God -- to carry out God's justice by putting the murderer to death.
I stopped listening after he reminded his listeners how much we don't deserve God's blessings. No person since the dawn of time has ever deserved a single one of God's blessings, so what's the point of saying this? This is another way of Doug continually reminding us how bad we all are, and how thankful to God we should be as a result. This is a very abusive, stingy, self-righteous God Doug preaches. If a father said this to his kids all the time everybody would think he was a jerk. God the father does not speak like this to us, even though Doug does.
@@VeritasForward You mean like you did doug? Doug's video is concurrent with scripture and I find no fault in him. You call a conclusion found in scripture as abuse against your brother Doug and refusing to watch his video to the end. And that I find fault with. 1 John 4:20 & mark 9:40
Jer. 17:9 is one of a multitude of passages that teaches the fact that human beings are inherently evil. Human beings are not entitled to God's blessings. They are His to give, and they are His to revoke when He deems fit. Being blessed by God is a privilege, that's why it comes with the condition of obeying His laws.
I clearly said above that no person since the dawn of time has ever deserved the blessing of God. Therefore, doesn't it seem wise to conclude that I'm not advocating for entitlement to God's blessings? God will never praise this stuff or these people such as Trump.
Guys guys, Praise be to God that RvW was overturned.
I see you don't believe in a God, or the Abrahamic God, for that matter (I bet you you have soft spots for other beliefs, have you ever wondered why Christianity seems so bad to you?) so I realized “your beef” is not RvsW, you have other storms in in your heart.
As a “naturalist” I supposed you would defend the continuation of the human race making RvsW a bad thing logically, but I also know that some people like you think we (humanity) are a “plague” that is destroying “mother earth.” In any case, here is some food for thought:
If humanity is not more important than bacteria in your book, and we are a randomized clump of cells, what’s the purpose of life?
If we have a right to our property, why must we pay to rent it from the government every year in the form of property taxes?
I really hope someone is printing these and making a book
SO GOOD!
GLORY BE TO GOD

As I said at the beginning of Trump's presidency, Donald Trump is NOT a King David type (many evangelicals were making that silly comparison). But he just might be a King Jehu.
I was right.
Amen!! I was unsubscribed for some reason.
The UA-cam bots randomly unsubscribe people from channels they don't like.
We are all abolitionists .. some are just incremental vs. absolutist in their methods.
Good way of putting it.
Awesome video 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻 Our Founding Father’s were amazing & by God’s grace wrote that our rights are from God! What we (the abortion generation) should be most angry at is that for 50 years, we have been manipulated and lied to by politicians, judges & pastors that this killing had anything to do with a person’s rights. Time to put on that armor, pray & fight for lives and God’s truth! Words matter! Lives matter! The world needs to see Christians stand against the evil that wants to silence us!

Doug is incorrect! Because the child has a God-given right to life, the government OF COURSE has the authority to PROHIBIT (to "take away 'the right to'"))abortion. DUH.
@@conservativemovement No. It is not a right. So we should not fall into the trap of thinking it is a right. Privileges are given and taken away by governments. Rights are given by God and cannot be legitimately taken away by governments, because they do not have the authority to do so. So we say an unborn baby has a right to life. But we should never say abortion is a right or even think of it as a right. It is a wrong. We prohibit the wrong of abortion to uphold the right of life.
@@conservativemovement Referring to to it as a "right" IS the trap.

Hear, hear.
This was a great video. On the other hand, don’t shift your dependence on God and his coming kingdom as positive things happen in modern governments.
I especially like how this happened in June. That was some truly delicious icing on the cake.
Absolutely! Jesus has a sense of humor too.
I thank God for hardening RBG's heart and allowing her hubris to prevent her from giving up her seat while Obama was in office.

Wow. It's takes the wisdom Doug Wilson to notice abortion is struck down in the middle of Gay Pride month.😄🙏🤗
Right? It didn't even hit me!
It's LGBTQ Month. That stands for "Let's Get Brandon To Quit".
abortion was struck down when democrats had majority in the house of representatives, the senate, and the presidency. rom13 says it is God who put democrats on this government. He put them there to let them know that democrat majority cannot stop God who is the majority.
Not sure how that’s correlated or what the significance of that is.
Oh right you guys are bigots I forgot.
Amen
John Piper should thank Trump as well …. maybe in a nasty tweet? 💁🏼
Such a great point! I was so disgusted by him!
Man looks at the outside and makes judgments. God looks at the heart.
I follow Christ and I will still vote for Trump if he runs again. It's that simple
Donald Trump has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment, including groping and nonconsensual kissing, by at least 25 women since the 1970s. As he said in 2016: “You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the pussy.” He does not respect or value women whatsoever, voting for him is fundamentally voting against your own interests.
Sorry to hear you’re that simple Dee.

John Piper, this was your prayer for Donald Trump on Jan 20, 2017: "Until that day Lord, in your wonderful providence, “The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will” (Proverbs 21:1). So, guard him from folly. Guard him from stupid decisions that would damage people, damage America, damage the church. Guard him. Superintend him and the congress in such a way that, beyond their explanation, things turn in a direction that makes for the kind of good that, even though it may not have faith in it, would have the form of faith in justice and love." Thank you, John, for praying this for Donald Trump. The Lord Jesus answered your prayer, and brought us 4 years of brilliant leadership (not perfect, mind you) that the church is still reaping the benefits of (does Jun 25th ring a bell?). Tell me, John: have you ever thanked God for answering your prayer?
Maybe we should establish that god is a thing before assigning it properties and mandates.
The Kingdom is coming
Jesus said, "The kingdom is in your midst."
I believe it's already here. Lord, grant us eyes to see!
The Kingdom is at hand…so sayeth The Lord 2000 years ago…
The kingdom is within, look no further!
The kingdom is not complete until all of His enemies are placed under his feet - and he hands the kingdom back to His father…..
It arrived when Jesus did, look up every use of the word “kingdom” in the NT. It is clear and consistent that He has been reigning since his ascension
It is true, that, even a wicked man can assist in our Christian undertakings.
Yes, but what does that have to do with this video?
Wrong. Christ is building His Church. Believers still sin everyday. All of life is grace. Apart from Christ you can do nothing. Wicked men do not assist The Church. Bad theology.

Killing anyone, for any reason is forgetting people are walking in the image of God, it is evil.
I dunno, I can think of quite a few perverted and evil criminals who would deserve the death penalty.
Is that what the Israelites were doing when they stoned violators, which was commanded by God, by the way?
@@rockycomet4587 Pretty much.
Wrong. We were created in the moral image of God...Then, the Fall. After that we bear sin and the image of Adam. God is spirit. He does not have a body or look like us. You need to study more.
Not entirely correct.
“Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
for God made man in his own image." -- Genesis 9:6
Murder of man is clearly an attack on the image of God -- deicide in effigy, I believe Rushdoony described it. But the same passage ordains man -- because he is made in the image of God -- to carry out God's justice by putting the murderer to death.

Trump is a traitor
I stopped listening after he reminded his listeners how much we don't deserve God's blessings. No person since the dawn of time has ever deserved a single one of God's blessings, so what's the point of saying this? This is another way of Doug continually reminding us how bad we all are, and how thankful to God we should be as a result. This is a very abusive, stingy, self-righteous God Doug preaches. If a father said this to his kids all the time everybody would think he was a jerk. God the father does not speak like this to us, even though Doug does.
You must not read your bible then Eric. The entire premise is the wickedness of man and God's redemption for man.
@@armsracer8273 are you sure you read my comment slowly and carefully?
You guys have to gain your own identity, stop swallowing what Doug says without thinking, and depend solely upon the Bible for your truth. Quoting scripture at me misses the point, utterly and entirely. Doug ultimately does not and cannot deliver the special insight he implicitly claims to have, and someday he'll disappoint you. When you realize it, it's a major let down, and then you'll start standing on your own two feet and reading scripture for what it says. Doug is a biblicist; the Bible requires something different.
Amen.
