So the kid who said "You're disrespecting a future US army soldier" is definitely a Guardian
LMAO
Thank you for being the only person I've seen on UA-cam so far who pronounced Jung's name correctly.
lololol good point
SJ dominated society you say... No joke. Both my parents and one sibling are SJs, to my INTP. I'm definitely the black sheep in the family, good times...
Me too, plus labeled as autistic.
In my family it was the opposite. Four of us are introverted intuitives and my little brother is an ESFP. Poor guy.
@@CSJoseph I am an ESTJ, like I told you before I have Te hero right? And I am labelled ADHD or autistic as well. Well, probably due to my immature ISTP which is movement type I guess? But anyway, just to tell all of us, that me, even SJs can be labelled autistic.
I can relate 😂
My dads an SJ type and he has literally said to me, an infp, whats wrong with you? Hinting that he thinks I'm retarded, just because my idealist personality is that hard for him to understand 😑
I mistype as an Istj, as a result of years of constant emulation, behaving in ways which are more acceptable. Ironically, I find myself in the company of SP's, because of the ease I have in emulating an ideal type for them. I even identify with Istj descriptions, but know they are describing my mask, and don't get at the heart of who I am. When I watch the videos on Infj, I 100% relate to everything, positive and negative. Mistypes can happen as a result of answering questions based on consistent behavior, caused by societal expectations, or nurture. There were many times I wished I were not Infj, because then, I wouldn't feel doubly misunderstood. Being "rare" really isn't desirable to the person who has lived it--at least, if you were berated and unaccepted for being "weird"-- unfortunately it feels like, even when you are loved, you are loved for being someone you are not.
That last line is so so true and relatable
Yes, my father was in the military. Sucks to have an SJ for a parent when you're an INFJ.
T. Anderson trust, im infp my dad is estj
Depends on how they use their Si actually in my opinion. Remember there are human nature and human nurture. By nature, I also should be in military, because I am an ESTJ. But because in my environment, from my 9 close friends there are 3 INTPs, 1 ENFP, 1 ESFP, 1 INFJ, 1 ENFJ, 1 INTJ and 1 ESFP. So, anybody can be anything and can be anywhere. Hope this opens up our mind, God bless. From an ESTJ here.
“They’re very regular people” lol that cracked me up. That sounds like an insult to me but they would take it as a compliment. I’m an INTP and was married to an ISTJ for ten years... I’m sure you can imagine how much we did not understand each other and he thought I was WEIRD.
You are more conscious than most people, that's what matters. Good work, really appreciate your work. India is NF, I believe. I'm ENFJ.
Wait a sec, how is india progressive?
@@dex9533 and where r u from?
@@chandrika8919 india, telangana, Hyderabad. U?
@@dex9533 Calcutta
@@chandrika8919 cool. You said india is NF, I wanna know why you think that.
I feel kind of bad for all the SJs that got roasted throughout this video
Or maybe they see it as a compliment that they are more traditional? 😅
It's always interesting to hear about how common, and how much the world revolves around ISTJs, and yet I still feel like an outsider of sorts. I'm aware that this video is listing off stereotypes of sorts, but it's still makes me raise an eyebrow at times.
I don't know about kids being diagnosed with ADHD because of being intuitives. If I (INTJ) had been diagnosed as a child, my life might be very different.
Edit: But I completely get what you mean. My family moved when I was a child. When I met the girl across the street, the first thing she said to me was, "You're weird." So yeah, I get just what you mean.
Lucky you, unfortunately I wasn't so lucky. When I was in grade school, my psychiatrist at the time diagnosed me with ADHD or ADD, only for them to put me on Ritalin since my peers thought I was weird. Even then I was diagnosed with Asperger's, as of last fall.
So the point of my ant is that a lot of SJ bias against Intuitives has negatively affected me. Mr. CS Joseph really hit the nail on the head on that one.
ADHD is overdiagnosed in high Se users, especially Se/Ti and underdiagnosed in NFPs. NTPs are the most diagnosed but also the most correctly diagnosed
I believe that starting the video off by mentioning how common or rare a certain type or temperament is counter productive because most people (regardless of type) will have special snowflake mentality and want to be unique and special, and convince themselves they’re probably one of the rare types. It’s their fault for thinking this way, but ijs we could help prevent it if we didn’t bring up things like how rare a type is in these kinds of videos.
-ISTJ
I would think that some people would like being part of a group of very similar people. I do. It's a relief to be around other intuitives for a change.
@@SJaye-zv9er Exactly, in my circle of friends I appreciate that God allowed me to create close friend circles with intuitives. But the biggest irony is this. I am very assertive I am an ESTJ. But I am the ones WHO INTRODUCE this theory to all of my close friends. To be exact there are 1 ENFJ, 1 INFJ, 3 INTPs, 1 INTJ and 1 ENFP and 1 ESFP. Not a SINGLE DANG SJs around, so weird that the concrete people are outnumbered. But still, it is me who introduce this theory, well give credit to Ne child I guess hehe! Being different itself is already normal to me.
@@yustinushalim1146 you sure you didn't misstype them as intuitives? lol
@@yustinushalim1146 Intuitives finding each other; is called survival. Great for them. Yes, it is an SJ dominated West. As an iNtuitive [INTJ], I can always spot other iNtuitives. It's easy to spot Ne, it's like a flare beacon. And if you have Ni, they also find you, as Ne is drawn to Ni. In my world, it's more like; finding the few at e.g the dojo or space you're in, rather than being surrounded by them.
@@logicalperspectivekanki4190 So far I find it correct. But thank you for your question. It gives me a chance to recheck my thought process when typing them.
Thanks for helping keep me sane with these videos
ESFJ married to an INFJ for 9 years. I LOVE his intuitiveness. Its sad so many sensors miss out.
SFJs miss out a lot less than the STJs because their Fe leads them to actually give people a chance
ISTJ Warren Buffet became rich on sticking with the tried and true stocks and not moving when everyone else is running away during a downturn in stock prices.
I’m fairly confident I’m an SJ, but ( and perhaps it’s a product of the people I surround myself with) I hardly ever seem to notice this N type hate. If anything, it seems people tend to flock behind NTs. They’re not weird, they’re interesting. Idk maybe I typed myself wrong, this whole hatred against others who aren’t sensors seems false. I’m very risk averse, and highly opinionated, but I don’t really hold a bad feeling toward risk takers, as long as it’s thought out. Now if your rash, loud, unintelligent, and unproductive, I’ll probably have an issue with that.
well said
No worries, you are not alone you got an ESTJ here. I never had a close relationship with an ESTJ, out of my 8-10 close friends, I am the only SJ and I can relate with all of my intuitive friends (plus 1 ESFP). We usually fear the unknown that is why humans usually put an unfair judgement to anything and anyone that is different. It might be harsh, but hey, that is the truth right? Have a good day and God bless!
When you are in a place of social privilege (the majority), it is hard to know what it is like without that privilege. This is the same reason so many men deny that there is systemic misogyny. since they don’t experience sexism themselves, they can’t possibly know how it permeates everything. Similarly, the very subtle ways in which I have been othered, ostracized, disregarded, or otherwise made to feel different as an entp, would completely fly under the radar of a sensor whose brain works efficiently within the system. I have a very well developed Ne-Fe relationship, so I am very very good at masking this and “sensor passing” when the social situation calls for it, but I feel much more at ease amongst other weirdo intuitors.
I can small talk the shit out of an SJ, but once I let loose and reveal my freaky brain that vomits a million ideas a second and makes reeeeealy tenuous connections without much explanation, SJs often see and treat me like a totally different species.
xoxo entp ⚡️
@@anyadeering a year later, I will also say, although frequently uncertain about my own type, (yet still marginally confident I'm an SJ) I am certainly a weird person. When I say I don't see something happening, I'm not saying it does not ever occur, and I'm sorry if you have dealt with such circumstances, but if people are looting at you as a weirdo, I'd wager the issue isn't typing, it's culture. A product of their experiences.
@@anyadeering There is systematic and more and more aggressive misandry and the "women are wonderful" effect is stronger than ever. Most women deny their massive social and school privilege in favour of pretending to be a victim. @@dxfifa How about NJ oriented ? That's his more recent opinion. I don't know enough about Japan to tell. Why TJ ?
What I learned from this video: they're common.
Another good video, with a clear explanation. I’m an idealist who has always struggled to fit in and just accepted this. But I’ve become concerned for my son, who has been labeled as the problem child at his school for what I observe as an exploration of what is possible and a difficultly sitting still for long periods. So I just wanted to thank you for recognising that systems are designed to fit some types better than others!
I have just found your channel and I really like what I see :). Keep up the good work!!!
I used to have a bitter resentment against SJs (without even knowing what they really are, since I wasn’t truly familiar with Jungian psychology), but these days I think I just start to appreciate them more and more
I will never like STJs but I do respect what they do. SFJs are some of my favourites, the Ti and Fe help a lot
Hello, Chase! I would like you to make videos about, for example, why certain types are direct, systematic, etc. How the eight functions and the attitudes they occupy make a person have a certain temperament and interaction style. It would be interesting. ☺️
sure
Sorry one year late but Te: Direct Systematic
Fi: Interest informative
Si: Systematic Informative
Se: Interest Direct
Ne:Informative
Fe: Affiliative
Ti: Pragmatic
Fire departments have a lot of SPs. SJs seem to gravitate to upper management, inspection, and fire education/training. Just my Si experience.
It could beattractive to SP because they like to be spontenaous (P) and they live in the moment (S) so that makes a really good job for SP
I’m an entj and these videos are very useful but you spend allot of time defending presumed criticisms of your claims and I’m really just trying to extract your competency as efficiently as possible. For every 15 min of randomness there’s like 5mjn of gold so it’s frustrating but thank you.
I know you talked about the INTP stereotype of the gamer getting fat in his mother's basement, but most INTPs I know are rather thin, and I might conjecture that the prevalence of SJs are part of the reason why we have an obesity epidemic in this country. Obviously weight/health-management is more complex than eating habits alone, but I think certain temperaments may be *predisposed* to overindulgence (due to the desire to receive physical sensation). Thoughts?
Heather Bryant INTPs can be endomorphic or ectomorphic, I never met one that was mesomorphic. People who overeat, it’s usually a lack of discipline (low Si) or they have a poor microbiome in their gut
C.S. Joseph Interesting observation about the lack of mesomorphic body types. I can't say I've inquired enough to gather any statistically significant data to confirm whether that consistently holds true in my experience, but I've definitely known quite a few ectomorph INTPs.
I actually wouldn't categorize microbiome consistintuents as contributors to over-eating, per say. (Unless you're arguing a "psychobiotic" impact, on second thought). Resident species colonized in the intestines, like Akkermansia muciniphilia, contribute more to digestion regulation and fat distribution/metabolism than actual caloric intake. Christensenellacae "skinny" bacteria are also genetically-linked, and, coupled with bacteria affected by diet (like ruminococcaceae & rikenellaceae), other factors that are both physiological and genetic, such as the threshhold at which Leptin is produced, the factors unrelated to diet can get rather complicated. Microbiome, leptin, ghrelin, Neuropeptide Y, LipoProtein Lipase (and thereby estrogen), Hormone-Sensitive Lipase, other hormones of lipogenesis, thyroid levels, insulin resistance, ketosis & ketoacidosis, hyperplasia of adipocytes from childhood obesity (vs regular hypertrophy), BMR, diet & lifestyle, not to mention external cues like conditioned responses and cultural influences... I'd say all those fall under the category of "complexities" outside of personality I alluded to. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs 🙃
But you did answer my question as to the influence of cognitive functions (low Si). Thank you 😊. I'll have to let that steep. ☕
I've also read studies that correlate novelty-seeking with obesity, which I suppose does make sense in the case of some INTPs. Also higher reward-dependence and lower "persistence." That study used the Temperament & Character Inventory though.
@@CSJoseph Damn. I disagree with this take. -intp
Many people overeat due to trauma..
Weird, occasionally annoying, but very endearing - an SJ's take on C.S. Joseph! Lol... Love your videos, you recommended Seasons 2 and 15 for learning how to type, here I am listening to you (a very SJ trait). Maybe I am not an SJ, who know's but I am definitely open to learning all I can and figuring it out. Thanks, Chase, keep up the great work! ♡
p.s. I feel very weird myself, so I am very drawn to other people that I feel I can relate to in that way.
ExCUSE me, sir! I have ADHD and ASD, and I'm an SJ ..... But your explanation does explain why I get along so well with NTs 😂 (Thank you for all your hard work; these videos are amazingly helpful!)
Chase, which countries would you say are very NF orientated? Perhaps I should move there...
Another problem with the MBTI tests is they are dependent on the interpretation of the questions by the person taking the test, their interpretation of the question might not align with what the test author intended.
Estj and istj will critique the test and analyze to give most accurate response😅
I think that was a bit too negative, it could make this type feel bad. I can understand that the SJ type makes the intuitives feel like they don't belong here or that they're weird (I experienced this as well) but SJ types are as important as the rest of us.
(Sorry for my bad English)
Honestly, I kinda find them really annoying to do things with. Especially family, and especially Estj's. The combination between affiliative and systematic makes them so polite just to be polite. And it's so stupid, we are awkwardly sitting at dinner table, all clearly wanting to leave "it's not polite to leave before everyone's done" calm down, it's just lunch and you're just my sister. "You need to thoroughly clean your desk, stop using it as a painting palate, it's disrespectful" it's how I've always used it, it works for me I don't care how it looks and disrespectful to whom, IKEA?
I'm so excited!!! I'm finally getting it!!
I just had to write down notes in a way I understood it! I'll just have to memorize some stuff. I know i have more to learn, lol, but I'm excited cause I am getting it!!!
Now I know for certain I am an INTP ....but I still hate that I don't feel like a super smart INTP.
Thank you! CS Joseph. I appreciate this video.
Who doesn't love firemen and our military?
A lot of people confuse me as an ESTJ because I at times do talk about past traumas, even tho I barely remember the details. However, I do like doing what I want, I am not dutiful/traditional at all, I like getting my way, I don’t like being told what I “should” do, and I love being the one on-top in bed setting the pace.
A country which is NF is France.
Germany as well
Why?
SJ don't know how interesting and depressing it is to have mind of NT/NF..
Weird stuff... most of my friends and my sister- best friend are SJ.. but- I did 4 times, 4 times different tests and I am ENFJ big time 🥴😳🧐🤣🥰🙏Ye.. they really don’t get my intuition 😭even though it’s 99% right 🥺🤯🤩✅✅
I am an ESTJ, I can relate to your experience of being "weird". Yes, by right, SJs are 40% in the society. But, in my family and close friends thank God I am the only ESTJ. This might get boring but brace for it. In my family, so far from 5 members that I know, my 2nd brother is an ISTP, my only youngest sister is an ISFJ, my mother is an ESTP, my daddy is an ISTJ. Now, that is still normal, still got SJs and SPs. I know their types through interaction styles, not through a test by the way. Let us look at my close friends. I got 3 INTPs, 1 ENFP, 1 ENFJ, 1 INTJ, and the closest to me is an INFJ, then 1 ESFP. Wow, how weird is that? Lol. Heck, what is even weird and good is, I am the one WHO INTRODUCE this theory to my close friends (and all of my close friends are NOT SJs, most of them are intuitives). Can you imagine, a concrete type introduce this abstract theory to intuitives, and I secretly analyse my family members? Like, whoaaa Yus, stop right there! In conclusion, I can truly relate to you, being a minority. Have a good day, thanks for reading my long comment, and God bless!
Thank you for the breakdown
Could it be that intuitives are often calculated to make up such a low percentage of the population not because they're less common but because they are less out and about (especially introverted intuitives) and thus can rarely be seen?
I'm listening to you on Spotify, and I'm wondering if you get any data from the listeners on the podcast? like how many have listened?
we recently lost all our metrics with a migration. Perhaps one day.
The only novel people SJs like to try and branch out into are those who share their parent function, and those who share all 4 functions, and are similar to them in some ways. Shame the Ni users are so rare and NPs are so likely to reject their native local culture.
The saddest thing in life though is an SJ whose family doesn't fit with their area, so the other SJs aren't their types of people. They are so lonely and angry
So
STJ like NFPs who have similar culture
SFJ like NTPs who have similar culture
ISTJ likes INTJ
ESTJ likes ENTJ
ISFJ likes INFJ
ESFJ likes ENFJ
I am categorized as an ISTJ, I am in the military and do very well for myself. However while I feel like some of your points describe my personality and temperament well, the more I research the more I am unsure if I am truly an ISTJ. How can I be sure?
Watch Season 1, 2 and 15 to get the whole picture, 15 is yet to be completed.
While reading about SP types, I've assumed that they're the type most into "sensory experiences" (fashion, traveling, experiencing new stuff etc...), which led me to the conclusion that Se is the only function through which one can live in the moment and "enjoy life". But in this video, you've talked about how it's SJs the ones who are more interested in "receiving sensation", while I thought that Si was about re-experiencing sensations from the past (so unrelated to the present, whether it be giving or receiving). Is my understanding of the Si/Se functions wrong? Are there more about the "direction" of the sensation, rather than the moment when that sensation occured?
hamouchou10 it’s technically both. Se needs to share sensations with others, Si can enjoy them on their own and likes to have repeat sensations. Variety vs. originale
Hip-ok-raytees
Both my parents are SJs.
Dude, I swear, I don't know one intuitive in my family. Most of them are SJs and some other are SPs... I'm an INFP and of course, I'm the black ship and looser of the family. I'm "the crazy" one. At least, they think I'm funny but they don't take me seriously at all.. Mom and dad ESFJs, sister ISFJ, aunts ESFJs, cousins SPs... There's one cousin of mine that told me he was an SJ but I'm not quite sure because we get really well together and I think he's a NP.
Well.. I actually felt kinda sad with this video and I totally get your disapointment with our society (I'm from Brazil and I believe most of people here are SJs and after SPs). People that are different will be seen as crazy and stupid. My mom always say that I'm crazy, and she's always trying to make me fit in this SJ world, getting married to a guy that is from the church, and go and be a missionary, and have a common job that I don't like but at least I'm doing something and getting money out of it and then having children and DIE. LOL I see life as something that's way more than that but I just don't know what to do unless fitting in and tring to be a part of the group. I've been trying to do me but, my parents see me as naive, stupid, and that's it..
Watching all of these videos back it seems I'm going to have a hard life as an ENTP with feeling like I belong in one group... Yay... I'm jealous of xSxJ's...
me too
I am intp and alot my friends are isfj esfj and istj they always telling me stop being autistic and weird.why do you always disagree with us? Why do you like being different? All people are doing this you should do the same. They are judging me all the time and then ask me if I am arrogant because of not caring about their opinions.😒
I think the UK is an SJ society too. Probably XSTJ more common. Common sense and tradition very valued. I always felt like a bit of an odd one out even as an ISFP. Not having Si in top 4 functions probably doesnt help. Also FI hero i think is often seen as 'weird' as well as having low extraverted judging.
Bruh they still have Monarchs
What nations are NF oriented? I can see NT Japan, SJ America and Russia, SP Africa, but NF nations throw me off. I naturally think more towards nations where Buddhism or Taoism is common.
Japan is more NJ. Sweden is NF.
Thanks! This is helpful!
Lol I watched both the idealist and intellectual videos before this one. I got the intuitives fairly easily. This was a bit harder to follow.
Why do SJs struggle making decisions about what they want?
And why is it that they both live with an experimental "YOLO" mentality, AND want to play it safe and follow the past?
Also, with both intuitive types, there was a bit of a split- two kinds of idealists, two kinds of intellectuals. Is there a similar split for guardians, and what would it be?
watch season 16 playlist for the answer
@@CSJoseph Thanks for these! Do you have what content is in which video memorized? 😳 My head would explode!
@@DaphnaFM One year late sorry but lol I have every single video on this channel memorized
I see. So that's why majority intellectual are in japan. Also no wonder I like Japan. Because as you said an INTJ cover them selves with other intellectual. don't worry Joseph your are also an intellectual.
You mentioned that the US is a very xSxJ focused society, which I figured made sense because I recalled from before in a different video of yours that xSxJs make up 40% of the population, but then you said that Japan is a much more xNTx focused society and that made me wonder, is there something that Americans do that develops their children primarily into xSxJs, or something the Japanese do that develop their children primarily into xNTxs?
Unless people of different mind types flock together into different countries, as in xNTxs just end up moving to Japan eventually as well as xSxJs to America or something, there must be something that made it end up that way, I assume anyway.
I’m curious of this
:o Do you know why it's like that?
If everyone really has their type from birth, it leads me to wonder if cognitive function types are connected to genetics somehow.
Where are the NT societies at?
The last one was wiped from the face of the earth with extreme prejudice. You can thank Josef Stalin for that.
Think Canada is an SJ focused society?
that, or an NFP society, I can't tell some times.
As a Canadian myself, I would say that we're an idealistic law and order society. So basically a mix of NF and SJ.
Any SJ Ever thought of what should be done and right when you're about to do it, someone tells you to do it and now u don't wanna do it anymore? Coz same
What is the temperament orientation of a society like that of Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or the UAE. I mentioned UAE as its so multi cultural.
my psychiatrist is a guardian . I think an ESTJ . That explains alot , he always want me to take medicines , what I wont do ,becouse I don't want to .( I don't want those brainchanging chemicals in my body. ) he thinks I'm paranoid I guess. Never is intrested in how I feel . If I make a statement that contradict his ,he is realy hating on me and want to lock me up becouse in his eyes I refuse treatment .It is a real struggle
Why are the types grouped the way they are in the temperaments? It seems strange that the sensors are divided according to whether they are J or P, but the intuitives are divided by whether they are T or F.
they are separated by their behaviors
SJs: Si heroes or parents with Ne child or Ne inferior.
SPs: Se heroes or parents with Ni child or inferior.
NTs: Ti/Te heroes or parents combined always with Ne/Ni hero or parent.
NFs: Fi/Fe heroes or parents always combined with Ne/Ni hero or parent.
As an ESFP with adhd(like mine’s legit as adhd is more than not being able to focus and sit still) i never got along with most SJs. Like especially with my ISTJ father and ESFJ grandmother and being the oldest child they always tried to kill my spirit in a way. Like too loud too messy too disorganized too rebellious too unrealistic(being into arts= unrealistic and stupid in Balkan Europe),too active. And the worst part is that my primary school teacher was another really unhealthy SJ that loved humiliating children who weren’t as she thought kids should be and i learned how to be an amazing liar thanks to the toxic SJs in my life. Especially here in Balkan Europe where most ppl are SJ but the toxic SJ kind. I have some good ESFJ/ISFJ friends but most SJs are the fun killing types and judgemental like most of my self esteem issues come from SJs
So if the tests are unreliable, how can we determine the Temperament of a nation? Wouldn't that data be determined by the test results of its citizenry? For the same reason, how can we determine the rarity of each individual personality type?
I have a way, although not ready to reveal that yet.
@@CSJoseph I see. So you're Se Demon wishes to torture me. Is that it? :)
Really like your overviews but i dont understand how you could judge a personality type. Its like judging the sky of its blueness. Its just how it is?
How do you know Japan is an NT focused society please bro
Our society is funny- it *WAS* an SJ society, and there are leftover structures that support that society. I’d say now, especially culturally, it is a very Sf/NF society. It’s all about how you feel. I miss the more SJ/T nature of our culture. Not gonna lie.
You are right on about me.
This episode and the preceeding one (S2E1 & S2E2 seem to have disappeared from the podcast form. Is there any way to bring them back?
After watching this, I think I mistyped as an INFP. Usually I’m an INFJ but I’m definitely not an Si. I don’t decorate at all during the holidays, despite being Christian. My husband does some decorations but not me. I’ve cut ties with certain members of my family so it makes it hard to have a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas. Normally I craft gifts myself to give to friends. I just don’t know.

@@CSJoseph Thank you.
I came here because i want to leanr about the temperaments not what you think aboit those temperaments and your bias if you like it or not
Bro, literally everyone is biased.
I always thought Japan was a very SJ society with its reverence for tradition, discipline, and well-defined social hierarchies.
And the US strikes me as an SP society with its love of freedom, athletics, and general show-offy-ness (stereotypically) for lack of better word...
And btw if you see my comment and you decide to reply please reply with an actual helpful response and not just a vague one-sentence saying “go watch these other vids to answer your question”. And please don’t just give it a heart without answering, if you don’t want to answer properly just don’t put any heart or do anything at all, no offense but it’s really annoying since it’s obvious you’re just going through comments and pretending to pay attention to them without actually properly reading or responding.
Lol!
David Cardinal yep. My point was proven...
Yeah I find the constant American WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!s extremely annoying.
Isn't Japan a rather traditional SJ mindset too? Not in the immediate sense of how culture presents itself but if you look at attitudes they are very stubborn to change and often give short answers to new ideas or taboos as simply being bad or negative for no reason.
they used to be. it is NJ society now
@@CSJoseph I mean their feudal and post feudal monarchy ideals are now largely gone, sure, but I still see this stubbornness of sticking to "what works" even among the younger generations to a degree. It is probable that my subconscious is just over exaggerating the opposites of each eras here, but I almost view the post feudal Meiji restoration in to the WW2 era as being one of a very NT mindset as lots of new Japanese state innovators, theorizers, and philosophers came to existence in this period and is one of thew reasons that Japan advanced as well as it had both industrially and in influence as opposed to say China who kinda struggled with this new vs old mindset and couldn't really stick to either, causing their instability and stagnation for the next 50 years until the 1950s. Japanese modernization after all came largely in the form of fascistic, statistic, and imperial mindsets of how to increase influence and relevancy rather than the more Western notion of becoming more democratic over time, so when Japan was defeated in WW2 and to a degree de-radicalized into democracy, this ironically made them less innovative and go back to a more laid back traditional mindset almost paradoxically. This is just me spitting out my perspective on things however, and I would love to hear what you say!
You are talking very nondirect and constantly giving some random info between actual data we wanna hear. What is that trait? I mean what cognitive function or maybe something on your typegrid. If I were to make a video like this, it would be very structured. thanks in advance
dont look to an ENTP for structure
Szymon Kowalczyk Informative people would do that.
I'm always told I'm weird, but to not change because I'm fun. Idk what I do that's weird and no one can ever tell me why or how. I just am. Lol that's not very helpful!
Thanks CSJ....
what's Singapore/hong kong/new York oriented towards??
would NF orientation be the scandanavian countries?
no idea
From my experience my home country Finland is still pretty SJ geared society.
What percentages of the four temperaments are made up of introverts?
read Stephen Montgomery for that.
@@CSJoseph Thanks! People Patterns and The Pygmalion Project are available at the Open Library. I know what I'll be reading next.
This ISTJ here, needs to prioritize energy in a militant fashion instead of engaging these dunce trivial stuff.
Okay, so basically, we first identify if they have Si, Se, Ne, or Ni in someone's first 2 slots, and then do the same with Fe, Fi, Te, Ti and then acording to how they get their enegrgy from, Introverted or extroverted setting we get their order and then the rest. Right?
Not neccessarily, trying to type solely by functions could get you in trouble, i'd use www.udja.app
I think SJs are the type that most annoys me - me being an INFJ...
I find it funny to see the most watched videos on your channel are about INxx types. Even they are only very small% of population. I asume that everybody watches their own type video first to check if you are accurate. So I have a question: why are the intuitive introverts more interestet in topics like this? The Video "who are the ESFJ" in comparison to "who are the INFJ" has very little views. Even if there are far more ESFJs out there. Can u xplain with cognitive functions why they are not in to this?
Bruce it’s because introverted intuitive types use the MBTI more than everyone else per capita. I have no way to prove this as this is merely a theory. I wish I could explain using cognitive functions.
OK then i would like to see a poll of your viewers in wich they can specify the type they believe themselfes to be. And maybe even if they are male/female. I think that could be helpful for your future videos. Because you can create them explicit to your audience. I dont like to say this but i believe that this is an highly theoretical channel this far and some types are not interested in this topic or arent even abel to understand the basics. i just imagine to talk about this topic to my ESFP friend.. he would not be able to listen for more than 20 seconds. (sorry for being rude(INTP))
Bruce I prefer to boil the ocean and provide content for all the types
Okay Joseph keep on doing i like your content anyways. But remember there are big and small fish in that ocean and you only got one fishnet.
Bruce fair enough, thanks for the advice
Hi! My sister took the mbti test and it says she's an INTJ. Im not sure if she's ISTJ or INTJ
She like leadership and obsessed with leading. She tried being a member and she at times unconsciously userp the leader. She hates incompetence and at times micromanages.
She's not dierect though and would mostly speak in her inner voice. Im not sure if she's traditional though.
She's empathetic and very introverted. She said she knows how to talk to people but prefers not to.
Im not sure if she has a plan but she usually follows my advice as it is based in sound reason. She's highly intelligent but inwardly she second guess herself.
What you think?
I think if she's not direct then she's neither. Seems like a responding Te user from what you got there though.
@@CSJoseph thank you for the response. Id finish watching your videos on how to type personalities. Heheh thanks!
im an ISFJ and i'm not like most of the things you said in the video , cuz i have : Si , Fe , Ti , Ne
Hmm, what you just used as a reason for not being like CS Joseph's description of an ISFJ literally doesn't make sense.
You basically just said: "I'm not like ISFJ's because I'm an ISFJ"
What?
COPS
Wait, don't you mean Japan is NJ not NT? (Since we are comparing SJ, not ST/SF)
SJ - Guardian
SP - Artist
NF - Idealist
NT - Thinker
The S temperaments and the N temperaments are broken up along different lines.
I don't know why but when I think about Guardians, I think about people who listen to country music heh
more like artisans lol but I can dig it
It's not just sj's Eventhough my father is an intj he wants me to be a man, take care of my presentation to the world how much I want him to understand but everytime I show him intj and want him to understand people through psychology so he doesn't judge me his Te kicks in and says by reading two lines that this is useless. Find my type if you can with this paragraph.
Watch seasons 2 and 15 utilize the type grid.
I'm curious about where are the NF societies?
I believe Sweden is one.
C.S. Joseph I was thinking something like that. ☺
Societies idk but art school in pretty generous towards us. At least the students are.
“If you don’t support their traditions, they are going to hate you.” What? That’s quite the claim. Also one I’ve never seen from any SJ in my life. That seems more like Fi/Si in that order, and even that would be harsh to generalize.
