If you are in the process of figuring out what your calling is, or would benefit from an inspiring kick in the butt to go for it, may I be so bold as to promote my own book, The ENFP Calling - www.dreamsaroundtheworld.com/the-enfp-calling-book/

Thats so true, I suffered depression for not dedicating most of my time to the stuff that really excited me! The speech I have always got from my family and social culture since I was a little kid : You are crazy be practical🤖 I lost so much time that will never comes back. Looking at a world full of opportunities now. Thanks Dan for this video 🙏

We ENFPs are made to enjoy life on Earth with the others.
The sooner we understand that work can’t be at the centre of our lives, the easier our lives will become.
Work for us is mostly a source of income to do all the memorable things that nobody will ever pay us for doing.
Thankfully, the I/ENFJs are running the world while we take care of the most valuable things: time, love, people.

Really interesting comment! I have a chapter on this in my book. It is true that on their deathbeds people speak of friends, happiness, and wishing they didn't work so hard.
It is also true they say "I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me."
And I might say that for many people and many jobs, it becomes very hard to not work hard, be happy, and be true to yourself, in an environment that sees you as a tool for productivity.
Whether your purpose should be actualized in your vocation, well, is up for debate...but for me I do best focused on one thing and putting a lot of my energy into it, and that means my income is best tied to my purpose.

Definitely my career historial: to make it short, I started studying Electrical Engineering. At the beginning, high grades in most of the asignatures. Close to the end, complete disaster. Meanwhile, I decided to make a little childhood dream true: studying Japanese Language. I didn't just love it, but I actually was good at it. So good that I went to Japan. So good that I became native Japanese teachers' assistant at college. And then became a Japanese Language teacher myself. Some highs and some lows along the way, but nowadays, it's my part time job when I earn probably the same as many full time jobs, while I meet many students and people who teach Japanese, even my close friends are related somewhat to Japanese Language, and I love doing almost all the stuff n_n
By the way, I missed this videos in which you walk while talking, Dan n_n

Thank you for the kind words by the way! Would you be up for doing an interview on my podcast? Your story sounds awesome and I'd love to hear all the details and inspire some other ENFPs along the way! podcast@dreamsaroundtheworld.com

      @@enfp You're welcome!
I would like it! There is just a problem: while I can write English without many problems, I can't speak it fluidly because it's not my native language, Spanish is. I would need at least write the answers a little bit before the interview, but I think that's no so much fun, right?
Unless you have an interpreter when words are not coming out freely.
Either way, I would like to try it.

Send me an email so we have each others contacts. It could be possible for an interpreter or perhaps if I finally get fluent in Spanish in the next year we do it then

Needed this today. I’ve been coming out of my comfort zone and I’m finally allowing these wild persistent dreams to take root. Every day is scary because every day I have to go more and more outside of my comfort zone. But as an ENFP that craves adventure, the scary part of the unknown is something I kind of look forward to. It’s like a challenge to myself to fight past the fear!
My main thing has been consistency and accountability. Working really hard at both.

Hey Tracy! Well done on following the dream!
A quick tip, when you're pushing out of the comfort zone day after day, sometimes taking the occasional day to "regress" and watch an old favorite movie, or read a fav book, or just generally relax and be "comfortable" (but not in an addictive games or eating 4 cakes kind of way). This can help prevent burnout and ultimately give us more energy and focus on the days we are stretching :)

If I may be a little self promotional, there is no better single resource for this (dollar for dollar) than my book: www.dreamsaroundtheworld.com/the-enfp-calling-book/ There is a whole section where I go through aspects of a dream job as well as different industries and types of jobs.
Start there, and then once you've read it you can ask me again ( www.dreamsaroundtheworld.com/AskDan ) with a little more info about yourself :)
