Urban Decay Brow Blade Review & Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 лют 2019
- One of you recommended I try the Urban Decay Brow Blade and I literally was at Sephora within an hour! It does take some getting used to, but I absolutely love how my brows look microbladed when I use it!
As someone with sparse brows due to trichotillomania, finding products that make my brows look fuller can be a challenge! If you have sparse brows, for whatever reason, I would recommend trying it out!
Have you tried the new brow blade from Urban Decay? Or Urban Decay brow products in general? Let me know what you think!

Thank you for your tutorial beautiful!! Super helpful, can’t wait to purchase this UD product!
I respect you so much for being honest about your compulsion. I’m subscribing to your channel. You’re an awesome person ♥️
You are so sweet, thank you so much Sarah!!
Thank you for the close up and detailed review. I am definitely purchasing this!
I'm glad the review helped!
it amazes me how amazing you are at brows! literally in like 2 minutes your brows completely transform and they are so gorgeous!!!!
Thanks Gracie!! YEARS of practice!
Thank you for this, I have trichotillomania and this is great to watch about
I lke how you did the left side first! Great job!
I have severe trichitillomania from my scalp to my eyebrows, so your review of this product means the absolute most to me
I honestly really love it! I've already gone through the first one and bought a second. I also recently got my brows microbladed (they're VERY sparse right now). If you haven't heard much about it I would watch the video. I feel like microblading helps me feel more "normal" when my brows are really thin!
You did a beautiful job on your brows!!! Thanks for the information on how to use this pencil, it really helps.
Thank you!!
Great tutorial! I bought this product and this really helped!! Thank-You!!!
Thanks! I'm so glad you like it!
Hey Kenzie! I'm always so amazed and love all of your videos, even your makeup videos (since I obviously don't wear makeup). You're just such an all-around positive and beautiful person! Have a great week!!
Thanks Todd! I always appreciate your positive and uplifting comments!
wow they look so amazing!
Thanks Makenna!
That look is so bomb😻💜
You're so sweet! Thank you!
Gorgeous! Definitely need to try once they get more shades
Mir I’m hoping they will! I think I definitely need the darkest shade in a cooler tone 👍
You are soooo beautiful kenzie!! Thanks for the review, looks like a great brow product!!
Thanks Ili!! I've been using it for a few weeks now and LOVE it!!
It looks so good! May I ask what color you would recommend for burgundy hair? My natural hair color is dark brown. I’ve been using Anastasia eyebrow pencil in auburn but I’m not sure that’s right since my eyebrows are dark brown, lol.
Thanks for the Zoom!!!
I would love a tutorial on your eye makeup! That look in the thumbnail is amazing!
I have one coming! I recently went to an Urban Decay event where they gifted us with the new palette. So the first part of the video will be me at the event and I have a quick tutorial/review for this look in the second half of the video.
I love your positive attitude. It’s contagious haha
You're so nice, thank you!!
Amazing video! You are SO amazing at makeup! ❤️
Awww thanks Avery!
Wow, expertly applied!
Loved this😍
Coral Bishop thanks Coral!!
Queen of makeup!!!💞
Daisyjade26 awww thanks girl!!
I prefer the side where you did the pencil first then marker ! They look so good !! I am excited to try this product
Since creating this video that's the way I've been using it - it's super easy and looks way more natural!
Wow! I don't think I've ever been this early to your videos before!!! I can't wait to watch it!!
Awww thanks Katherine!!
Amazing ! looks super natural:-)
The end result looks very natural and hair-like! I agree about the color range though, this color is just a touch too warm and not dark enough, but I love the idea of the inky formula!
I feel like the color is much warmer than my natural hair color (I get it dyed to be pretty cool toned). I feel like it was dark enough, they just needed one with cool undertones. And maybe one that's practically Ebony too!
Thank you for posting this! I can definitely relate with you about the hair plucking. I have OCD and one of the things I do, (when not controlled well by meds), is plucking my brows until there is almost nothing left. Can't wait to try this! (P.S. You are beautiful and seem very sweet :)...)
Thanks Katy! I just posted another video to my channel too talking about trichotillomania - the body-focused repetitive behavior I have that causes me to pull out my eyebrows and eyelashes. It sounds very similar to what you're describing!
This is so much work!!! Have you ever considered actually just microblading? I think you’d be so happy with that.
Your right eyebrows at minute 6:50 looks great. Very natural. I also love the finished lookk.
What color did u use??
Thanks for your informative video & my brow hairs are very sparse now due to Chemo😫 After seeing your video, I am thrilled I purchased this item & should receive my shipment soon🤗🎉
Thanks Simone! I hope you like it! I use it almost every day and I love it! I feel like it looks really natural!
How are you liking this pencil so far?
Hi, (sorry if it was mentioned already in the video, I can't hear the sound.) Is it fairly waterproof?
Yes! After using the one I used in this video completely up and purchased a second one, I've found that it lasts throughout the day better than most pencils!
Can I ask you about the disorder? Do you do it because it feels so satisfying? I ask because I did this as a kid. I didnt so much pull them out. But I pulled on them and it felt so satisfying when one would come loose. I also did this with my lashes
They look fantastic yet the 2nd brow is my favorite! I'm totally sold 👍🏽
I agree! Since this video I've always done it the way I did my second brow! Haha
I clicked this video for the review of the the brow blade, girl I was not expecting finding someone who also has trich ! I have had trich since I was 8 (mostly my head) but my eye brows are so thin from years of pulling! Thank you for this review ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you liked it! I created a playlist on my channel with my videos talking about trich - I definitely want to make more as I feel like there's not a lot of people sharing their experiences publicly!
I definitely like your left side the second one u did better, in shape, colour and looking mist natural. Thx for sharing w us. Do they stay on and last all day?
I am so happy I found your channel! I've had trichotillomania since my teens (currently about to turn 30). I currently only pull from my scalp but my brows are wrecked from pulling when I was younger... my brow hair doesn't grow back and brows I managed to preserve are shaped different and ones higher than the other... which isn't to noticeable except when I wear glasses (which is daily). I usually don't to my makeup except for special occasions but have always sucked at brows since they are shaped so differently, when I try to "even" them out they just become visibly fake and oversized lol. I have tried Ardell's take on this type of brow pen and I really love it! but I went through a pen super fast!
i was so excited to see a review since i saw you post about it on instagram!! wonderful video and so informational!!♥️♥️
Thanks Kelly!! 😊
Wich shade is it?
I absolutely LOVE that you zoomed in for detail! I’ve just disliked three videos bc when applying, the YTer didn’t zoom in and I couldn’t see anything they were doing. Why even make the video, am I right?
So, yeah, I really appreciate this from you! 👍👍
Oh and your brows look incredible! 🔥You’ve really made me want this product...like I’m actually gonna go to Ulta today and get it. ❤️
MAc has one too. Its called shape and shate tint. I believe its waterproof as well.
Oh cool!! I'll have to try it out!
I love the color scheme in the beginning. And thank you for more brow tutorials. I've been avoiding and dreading this part.. Thank you for doing it. It helps to watch how you do it and learning that way. I appreciate it a lot!
I'm always learning and adjusting my techniques so I love to share the new ways I'm going my brows! I feel like it's a constant learning process, especially when my brow thickness could change day to day!
I don't know a whole lot about make-up, but the little bit I do know and have seen stuff is changing all the time! I have bought more make-up in the past year than I don't know how long! I've had to buy a 2nd bag! Thank you for all you do and teaching us, you're awesome!
What color is this pencil pls?😳😳
You are so crazy talented - your brows look amazing!! Also, I can’t believe that’s actually the darkest shade...it looks like it’d be okay for my brows and I’m a brunette 😂
Thanks Katherine!! Hopefully they create darker shades in the future!
Which are the most natural lashes you'd recommend? My wedding is coming up and with my trichotillomania I'd need falsies.
Lily Lashes or Mink Wink
My friend bought Pur lashes recently and they looked SUPER natural!
omg, i’ve never heard anyone in my life talk about trich i thought i was like the only person with it. i recently pulled out all of my brow hairs again and have been needing a new brow routine because of it. just trying to see if this is the one for me!! :)
I've been really struggling with it recently due to all the added stress with the coronavirus! Hang in there! I also have more in-depth videos talking about my experience with trich if it helps in any way!
Hello! I just purchased this (tried tester at store 1st and loved the precise lines) however, the product is not coming to the brush tip for me!😭😭I shook it forever and it's barely dispensing. Did you have this issue??? Do you have any tips?
You could try to exchange it! The first one I got worked a little too well (sometimes it would bleed) and the second one I got I had a harder time using the ink (like it was drier). I feel like it might just take a little while to get it working, but if you're still having issues you could try exchanging it - you should be able to at Sephora!
@@kenziemacbrown dang ok thank u. I got it at Nordstrom not 100% on return policy there.
Wow I have the same issue. After I gave birth, I pulled out all of my brow hairs to the point where I literally had none. I now have them microbladed which was life changing but I still like to apply makeup to them so I was interested in this. It feels so good to come across a woman speaking openly about this issue. I’ve done it since I was a little kid and had no idea it was a real THING that others struggled with as well. ❤️
I always wonder if I should keep making videos talking about trichotillomania, feeling like maybe it's getting redundant, but every time I do I always get comments like this! I'm so glad my videos could help you realize what it is! I have other videos on my channel too that talk more in depth about it, if it helps: ua-cam.com/video/UzbPGI9T7us/v-deo.html
Not too bad. Does the color change throughout the day ???
Not that I've noticed!
I get you girl, I pull out the hair on my scalp near my ears. If i do a bun and want to pull out cute little "face framing" pieces of hair for the look, i cant😔 the hair isnt long enough bc i pull it out. Sigh😧😅
It's a challenge for sure! Hard because we obviously don't want to be doing that, and even worse when we have to find ways to compensate for it :(
You look great without make-up
Pleeeeeease do my eyebrows! ♡
looking beautiful as always!!🥰
Awww thank you so much Salina!!
What color did you use?
The darkest one! I believe it's called Dark Drapes.
💖
Can u do a video on how u did that eye look on the thumbnail of the video because it's gorgeous
I actually did! I used the new Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette and filmed a quick tutorial! It was more of a review so I didn't go as in depth as I normally do. But that video should be up within the next week or so!
I also used a different photo because I realized I didn't take a photo of just my brows and I didn't want to use the exact same thumbnail as the Valentine's Day tutorial! Haha
@@kenziemacbrown great! Can't wait to watch!
I bought this in Dark Drapes. I had read it can turn green and laughed about that, but it did, in fact, happen to me. I think if it mixes a certain way with your skin chemical composition, the dark ink can turn green. It's probably made of green pigment, and when it gets broken down, it shows. I may try another color because I really liked the results.
Oh interesting, that's good to know!
What color are you using
I bought the Dark Drapes shade!
No views?!? UA-cam is drunk😊
Love you so much Kenzie your eye makeup is so pretty💕💕 can you do more James Charles palette tutorials?
Hahaha thanks Sadie!! I can - I've been traveling a bit recently and haven't taken it with me. But I'd love to keep creating looks with it!
Sadie Scott also I’m a tad concerned now that UA-cam isn’t showing my videos... 😬
kenziemacbrown what does that mean?
what shade is this
The darkest shade, it's called Dark Drapes.
Anyone know the shade name?
kylie Kowitz she says it‘s the darkest shade - like almost at the end of the video - around 10:05. Darkest shade is “Dark Drapes”.
So thankful for this tutorial! What shade in the brow blade did you use?!
I'm so happy to hear that! I think it's 06, but it's whatever the darkest shade they made is!
Thank you so much!!
👍🏻
No sé cómo llegué hasta este vídeo pero wow! Tus cejas te quedaron increíbles 😊❤️
Thank you so much! Muchas gracias!
Quelle référence??
What shade did u use? Lov u bae
The darkest shade (I think it's called Dark Drapes).
@@kenziemacbrown FINALLY! I've been looking for someone with a darker shade. I've watched about 25 videos of people with super dark/black hair use the lighter shades of this and the Mac shape and shade and the warm contrast to their natural hair is driving me absolutely nuts.
For me, my eyebrows are quite full towards the inside by the nose and really sparse the further out you get.
Rebecca Ringo oh no way! Do you feel like it makes it easiest when you’re filling them in?
@@kenziemacbrown definitely!
get the Mac one if you are looking for a darker shade than this one
That's a great idea!
Did you shave your brows at one point and now there growing back in.
Nope! I have trichotillomania, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in this video, but maybe I didn't
Very nice, it looks natural. Remember sisters not twins 😁
Haha so true!
Could you please put the shade in the description?
Sure! It was the shade Dark Drapes
@@kenziemacbrown Thank you so much!
Hey!!!!!! 😚
Hi Tia! I hope you're having an awesome day! 😊💗
They just launched the black shade on March 1st. Just got it not sure if i like it. Definitely don't think its worth $25.
Oh that's good to know they added more shades!
The pencil looks bettter than the ink stain. More natural.
I agree! Since this video I've been applying the pencil first and then the stain!
Is her eye color real??? So pretty
Thanks!
Was this sponsored
Nope! I just really like using the brow blade!
I rarely do sponsored UA-cam videos (I think there's only been one or two on my channel) and when they are I make it evident.
Hi
Hi Lillie!! I hope you're having a great day!
kenziemacbrown awww! Thank you so much, you too!🥰🥰
Urban Decay were like....bruh.
Hi Kenzie!! I ❤️ how your brows turned out with this product! I’m glad Urban Decay, just a makeup line in general, came out with a brow product that not only shades but gives depth all in one pencil.. my brow makeup lately has been a mix of L’Oréal definer and Anastasia Brow pomade lol and I’ve been doing similar techniques but now I really want to try that Urban Decay 😃 anything for more natural brows! ❤️😊
I agree! I usually have to use multiple products to achieve this look! A big thing I noticed was that the ink stain definitely gets lighter pretty quick. I felt like in this tutorial the liquid was coming out pretty thick and dark. But now when I use it, it's a lot lighter and looks faded. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing - it's easier to build up that way and not go heavy handed. But I was surprised to see how quickly the consistency changed.
