    Excellent build, as I've come to expect. The vast majority of what few guides and guidance we have tend to take the companion characters in radically different directions than their intended concept (due in no small part to sub-optimal stat spreads, and the wild over-performance of certain class combos); it's good to see on-theme builds that are nevertheless very competent.

    Better Jaethal build is go Cleric with Selective Channel. Clerics have better spellcasting and she can negative channel damage all enemies while healing herself. If they give you an undead character, abuse it.

    Have a similar character irl Pathfinder Society Core Campaign, Nothing beyond the Core Rulebook is allowed in the core campaign, so no Inquisitor, but still my favorite character to play because she's so much fun. Cleric of Urgathoa3/Fighter2/Shadowdancer3/Barbarian2. A former cleric of Pharasma, she runs around the battlefield with Spring Attack and Whirlwind Attack with her scythe. Halfway through her career, she died and upon getting raised, switched to Urgathoa and used the Summon Shadow ability from her Shadowdancer prestige class to summon her "Mommy" as an undead companion. Looking at her character sheet, she shouldn't be able to function, but she does incredibly well and is a blast both in and out of combat. (She can walk away from a table in the middle of a conversation and no one notices) It's really unfortunate that Core doesn't get a lot of love in my lodge, I'd love to play her again. I was looking forward to recreating her in Kingmaker when I buy it this weekend, but unfortunately, no Shadowdancer.

    Fextralife, can you please make a guide for Linzi. I'm about 100 hours into this game and in my opinion bards are the most OP class in the game. Their buffs, disables and support skills are so insanely good for a 6 man party that not running a bard is just like, why? Cacophonous call (for single targets or fear for groups of enemies, as both only give one save only and none of this save each round garbage) is amazing, giving your whole team extra to attack and damage with bard songs, or just fascinating massive groups of opponents so you can take them down 1 at a time. Buffing your team with good hope, then haste, which all stack. Plus you can heal. There's just no downside here. Would love to see a guide to just to let new players know how useful having Linzi barding it up for your team can be.

      Not only that, but as a *very experienced* pathfinder player, this build is terrible for new players. It's a meme build focusing on using a terrible weapon (scythe) on a character who can't even use them very efficiently.
      Way better to just take a composite longbow and the teamwork feat "friendly fire tactics" so that you get to ignore cover bonuses at level 3, then focus on making her a very strong bowman.

      Depends on the build. I went for glaive+cleave+cleaving finish+greater versions of both. It might be worth on Jeathal because if you crit, you hit like a truck, and with VS you hit like a double truck.

    In PnP Pathfinder, I recall Inquisitors being stupid overpowered, strictly off of an Intimidate build. If memory serves, you could intimidate as a free action and you could get it stupid high. Everything would be shaken or terrified and just run.

    i actually beg to differ... becoz ur combat-type dps jaethal doesn't exploit her undead character... i played Jaethal as a tank, given her free teamwork feats (back to back adds +2 PER melee character), but more importantly because as an undead, she is IMMUNE TO NEGATIVE LEVEL DRAINS (i cannot cfm for stat drain)

  • @sherri3218
    @sherri3218 5 років тому +8

    I appreciate that you're using low level fights to keep it spoiler free (i think question mark?) but it is just weird see a level 20 character with no real gear to speak of. Also, does anyone even really get to level 20 and remain there long enough before completing the game for advice centered around being level 20 to really be relevant? I mean, i get throwing in a line or two about it, but maybe do what you did for divinity and show us about what it looks like at different levels with appropriate gear for that level against fights meant to be fought at that level?

    • @Lex0Hokata
      @Lex0Hokata 5 років тому

      He could but hed need to play the game all the way for that. Or if there is a way to item codes for gear. Kingmaker isn't really mod friendly or has and console commands. Though honestly, i dont think lvl 16-20 are realy relevant since your completing the game by then but dont qoute me.

  • @Majber
    @Majber 5 років тому +1

    why you propose teamwork feats in your "important feats" for her then she has solo tactics...?

    • @Thalionization
      @Thalionization 5 років тому +1

      Teamwork feats usually require 2 characters to have the feat and then they both benefit from them when next to each other. Solo tactics means you can benefit from the feats you have taken without needing the second character with them.

    • @Badbentham
      @Badbentham 5 років тому +2

      He should have used two columns: One for the normal feats, and one for her teamwork feats. Also, while Cleave is clearly the way to go, her theme also strongly supports intimidation as the second choice in battle. After all, Her Loveliness is very much Linzi turned upside down; with divine instead of arcane, fear-debuffs instead of bravery-buffs, very dead against very alive, and selfish and merciless instead of goodie-two-shoes.

      This game can be extremely rewarding, but comes with a huge caveat that you will be jumping way way into the deep end. If you like complex systems and aren't afraid to go online and look up the rules and spend A LOT of time figuring things out, then go for it. But if you don't want to spend the first 50 hours figuring shit out and most likely getting your arse handed to you, then stay well away from this one.

    This is not a very good guide for several reasons.
    1. You picked literally everything that's picked through auto level up, which is neither good nor optimal.
    2. Its organized in a rather crude fashion, making the guide hard to follow.
    3. You demonstrated it by killing DC6 monsters at level 20, giving off the impression you're strong, when you just cheated.

    I'm new to pathfinder so it kind of suprises me that a undead can be a inquisitor

    • @gharn2594
      @gharn2594 5 років тому +1

      Because the real life inquisition were such great people? Seriously though, inquisitors are not paladins. I think of inquisitors as hardcore investigators and judges for their god. Doesn't really matter who that god is, just as long as you are doing their work. Laying down their law, pronouncing their judgments and carrying out their sentences.

    • @swardinc
      @swardinc 5 років тому +4

      actually what I mean is that the undead is usually hunted by both paladins and inquisitors since in most settings an inquisitor is part of the faith. which is why it so interesting she basically hunting herself or to put herself to rest

    • @thant0s
      @thant0s 5 років тому

      @@swardinc It's indeed interesting, isn't it? Thing is, the entire (I think?) pantheon of gods in Pathfinder are represented in divine class selection, which includes the patron of defiance over natural law and the pursuit of hedonistic pleasure at the expense of others.
      Jaethal's god, after she was slain while fleeing assassins after being exiled from her elven homeland for murdering her own family for power, appeared to her and revived her into an undead, leaving her a scythe and simply exalting her as a newly christened inquisitor.. but saying nothing of her purpose.
