As a f2p player I think you can definitely get some good players for free and rank them up decently to go far in 3v3 ranked! But then I think we could get more f2p stuff in the game to balance it out a bit.

I feel like they need to spend up the player rate and a way to gain more coins . The game is very dope . You get a lot of coins in the beginning of the game , but once you level up to high level and unlock everything . Yu barely get coins . But the game is very dope I play it everyday
I can't disagree. He's right. I even reached Star II in Ranked mode just by using an 86 LeBron against 87+ ovr players. The game is still grindable and there's still a skill gap among players.

Now, they can only buy Game Changer/Cover Classic which are more than 4 times as expensive. Resulting in them not being able to reliably get any players or generate any income. The rewards are few and far between, and they’re mostly scraps. Even in this video, you’re reaction is like “hey look, free stuff.” It is, but look at the amount. What will you achieve with 6-10k credits? You have to scrounge up 1-2 tickets for months for a 10 pull from daily log in and events. They don’t realise the importance of keeping the F2P player base happy. The more that are happy, the higher the chance they buy mvp pass etc. and convert to low spender or more. This would also incentivise more newcomers to come in, rather than lose recurring players as the current trajectory is.
The initial rewards from the star trial and the other starter event with the rookie cards is the height of your gains. You’ll be bottlenecked real quick afterwards.
The reason people saying the game is P2W is because of the upgrading system games like 2k mobile and live mobile give you the cards straight up no need to upgrade and theres way to boost those cards aswell
The thing is embiid,tatum and lillard are the only Legends u can really get free to play and yes u can build decent players free to play but its not compareable if u go against fully paid legend players plus the fact that some players can only be purchased by IC like wemby for example or the prime collection and the market prices makes it even worse u cant get them good players free to play unless u like em Stock or just one Upgrade but most Legends suck until r4-r5 So if players With the same skill level go against each Other the one with the bigger bag wins

Meaning it’s a 30 day expiration date but you can renew it before the 30 days and get 3 new rank protection cards. I haven’t done it but if you keep renewing it you won’t lose a rank. You can lose and every time you win you will go up so you can just keep renewing and buy your way to HOF. It’s crazy I didn’t know that. Again I haven’t done it but I might try it like on 29th day or if I run out of protection cards it’s only 3.99 so it’s worth it for educational purposes. just for research purposes to see if I can get more rank protection then I’ll be able to say for sure if it’s pay to win. Because I definitely seen a lot of legendary players who are below 50% win rate and they aren’t good. I was like I’m 56% and only a starter it didn’t make sense or add up but now I know.

Markannen cost me like 160k and To max rank Markannen a up to a 91 it cost me about 6 Million coins . You only need money if you want to get certain players, or wear fresh outfits... There are so many budget players you can get that can compete at the highest ranks.
Game is really pay to win but if you really smart guy and know how to hoop it can be much easier to get higher ranks. I grinded to HOF rank with 44 stars in 1month btw

Ok I’m not gonna lie I’m not good and I used a trial kawhi complements of my league mate R3 as a starter III and I haven’t lost in 3v3 ranked with him. So yes it’s pay to win but to a certain extent. When you get to the all star and legend you definitely need skill but you can go very far if you drop like 300 on kawhi R3 even in random ques
I guess what I’m trying to say is your not going to pay your way to legendary let alone hall of fame but you can get pretty far and have a lot of fun if you drop a few bands lol. I’ll stick with my humble monthly pass and the .99 cent packs here and there that will get you a legendary and maybe a legacy pass in the near future, but that’s as far as I will go personally. All in all it’s still a great game, it’s a little choppy graphic and mechanics wise but a great game nonetheless.
