I fell in love with this little plane at Osh '18 so I thought a bit , then decided to build my own LEXL.......... Build has started !, my shop now looks like an airplane factory .... Maybe someday I can fly the pattern at Fun Fly Zone myself...... Thanks Dan for the nice video, FLY safe Les , would love to make the Legal Eagle flock gathering some time, I'd bring the Crispy Creams.
Les & Dan, that was the most clear and concise interview and explanations on ANY AIRCRAFT that has been covered on this channel. Bravo to you both ! Les, thanks for your very complete coverage of all the questions asked, and Dan, great job here! So Les, I'll be watching your videos [which are some of the best on UA-cam], and hope to come over and visit someday at Oakdale. All the Best to you both, Ron at L00.
I like the way he explains it’s flight characteristics! He speaks my lingo ✊🇺🇸 o ya Verner engines are my selection also. Check the Scarlet 9 cylinder.... hmmm add a turbo and it’s a wrap!
On a light sport that'd be awesome but I don't know if you'd ever fit a turbo into the weight of an ultralight. The budget is pretty tight as is. 254 lbs doesn't leave a lot of room for extras.
I wonder how this engine would be on a Fisher Koala? Would it make it too heavy for Part 103? What if you added a custom aluminum cowling around the engine, like the cowling on a Curtiss Goshawk?

Inspirational. Now I absolutely want one of these.
I don't think anyone has more hrs in a Eagle than Les Homan. Always has great videos!

It was great meeting Les (and Leonard Millholland, the planes designer) at Oshkosh this year. Great workmanship and a really nice engine.

I’m going to build one some day…
Cheap flying. Nice.
Totally awesome!

Shouldn't we not have things loose and flopping around on the instrument panel?
Any ultralight airplane that I can build or buy quick_build_kit for 5k or less?
Ya, this one.
It seemed Dan didn't know about BetterHalfVW. I'm surprised.
