Is it better to launch yourself by a winch or a self launching glider? I wonder because I live in Turkey and there isn't any tow plane really.
With a selflauncher you are independent and can launch wherever you want. The only disadvantage is the higher price. Compared to a pure glider you need to add 30k - 35k€
Self-launching gliders add so much flexibility to a trip. Gorgeous conditions.

Habe da und dort ein paar Frage gestellt. Nicht ernst nehmen bitte! Aber was kastet das Arrangement in Bitterwasser?
@@eisenschweinchen5354 Die Preise der Unterkunft (115€ - 230€) und die Tagespauschale (50€) findet man direkt auf der Bitterwasser Homepage. Zusätzlich kommt dann noch der Charter für ein Flugzeug. Für einen Doppelsitzer muss man da noch ca. 350€ - 400€ rechnen.

What makes the soil of Namibia so orange? Here in America the orange soil means red clay.
Landet man mit dem Segelflieger auch gegen den Wind im Grundsatz oder ist das nicht so ne heisse Sache? Mit dem Gleitschirm ist Rückenwind ein ziemlich grosses Problem 😅😂
Normalerweise macht man das schon, nur aus bequemlichkeit nicht immer 😅
In Bitterwasse hatte der Wind aber wirklich um 180 Grad gedreht..
@@SteFly Vielen Dank für die Erläuterung, Stefan! Ich habe auf dem Video den Windsack gesehen und habe mir daher diese Frage gestellt. ;)
Im Gegensatz zum Gleitschirmfliegen müsst ihr ja glücklicherweise nicht auf eigenen Füssen landen, dann darfs auch Mal etwas holpern. :D

No, it´s the TwinShark prototype from the HpH factory and you can rent it.

Old instructor told me that real pilot seat is in the back of the glider. Only there one can really feel what is going on because it is in the center of mass. Is that far from the truth?
I don´t think so. Here in this TwinShark the PIC must sit at the front seat, so there was no discussion for the seat position. The fuselage of the TwinShark is a little bit shorter, so that´s why it feels more like a single seater.
is there a chance to outland and then got eaten by lions or hyenas accordingly ?
Hahaaa 😂 I think in Namibia it´s not a problem but in Botswana it may happen to you.
