Great stuff! Just done this on my Morso stove, same as yours. I managed to get set of gen Morso bricks quite cheap. The sides were 10”,10”, 7”, and 7.5”. Both side bricks similar!! One way was better fit than the other!
The baffle plate is 10mm gauge plate, as Morso ones warped and cracked. Have only ever burnt wood! As you can imagine the baffle is really heavy and despite 18years is still straight!
These stoves are truly fantastic, I particularly like the lovely cast iron elegance .
Thanks
God bless you, This is a well done Job.
Thanks for the video. Firebricks now replaced as well as the baffle plate. Didn’t realise how bad it was until I took it out and inspected.
mine were done for a good while, so waited for the right deal, but not a hard job and happy now its sorted, glad you liked the video..
Mate the main bit I was keen to learn, was how you put the baffle plate back without damaging the bricks
Great vlog but I feel like I've done a jigsaw but the last piece was missing. Lol
all fits in a certain order thats for sure, nice when its all sorted and the fires lit :)
Good job!
👍👍👍👊😎
Bargain them bricks were
Great advice Rob xx
Glad you liked it xx
re last vlog i have seen boaters mooring 2-3 nights just by phonixe st bridge but loveing you journey stay safe
Trevor Surplice will do, all the best..
Hey Rob, how are the bricks holding up? Can you recommend the supplier, we’ve just picked up a stove and need fresh parts.
There spectacular to be honest and all the parts in the vid are still going strong, I got everything off eBay that was in that video, good while back so can only recommend not paying what Morso want for them, best of luck 😊
did the baffle plate go back nicely? you cutit 😂
All fitted together perfectly
No problems at all 😊
Hi have you still got your bird, haven’t heard him lately 🤔
Susan Martin unfortunately not but wish I did..
Печь стоит очень близко к горючим предметам. Так можно?
If you are are only burning wood why not remove the riddle plate and burn the wood on a bed of ash, you will have more room in the chamber and it should run more efficient.
Wish you hadn't skipped the bit where you put the baffle plate in. I'm completely baffled as to which way up it goes.
couldn't really film it because of camera position and it being too dark in there, good luck and hope you manage to get it sorted
Is it possible for anyone to give me the measurement from the bottom and the front towards the curve of the side stones. I got the rectangular stones myself and need to cut it. I can just do it arbitrarily, but if anyone got a stone nearby it would be very appreciated. Can't find the measurements online.
I will send you some measuremants when I get back home later..
Jobs a good'un! 🙂
very happy with them and the fire is a lot better burnng too :)
Do your steps ever catch fire?
Does your boiler blow up when you turn the radiators on?
@@narrowboatflorencerose4938 an excellent reply of no value. I was talking about the distance between the steps and the fire and the possibility of them getting too hot.
Hi Rob,
Those bricks look fake to me. Apparently Morso is the most faked heater parts there is.
I just got a set of bricks from a genuine supplier and they are stamped "1410 S". Also if you ever replace the baffle be sure to get genuine as I was replacing mine nearly every year until I realised what was going on.
Cheers....From Australia.
That’s handy to know, thanks James
All fire bricks are made of same stuff you can buy sheets of it and cut your own last just as long as the ones with names on, unless you just want to buy the name.
@@neilfields5914 the original squirrel bricks are clay vs vermiculite ( which I'm hearing is more fragile and needs to be replaced more often over clay) 🙂...
