The medieval Scandinavians left an impact not just on Greenland and Iceland, but on France, England, Russia, Ireland, and even briefly North America. But how did Scandinavian society begin, and what incited its voyage across the seas? Who was Rollo "the Walker" and the Great Heathen Army? How did Thorgest shape the religion and culture of Ireland? From the Rus Vikings to Greenland explorers like Bjarni, Freydis, and Leif Erikson--aka "Leif the Lucky", we'll be following the Vikings and their impact on cultures around the world.
We really enjoyed revisiting this series and getting to implement the viewer feedback that Rob had previously only been able to address in Lies.

@@extrahistory I love your channel, it's taught me a lot about history that I didn't know, and a lot more about different culture's folklore and I just want to say I appreciate what you do.
Honestly, I love this whole concept, and would adore it if you could do this for your entire backlog. A tad unreasonable, I know, but Extra History is a great way for me to pass the time while I'm washing dishes at my night job, but UA-cam Autoplay doesn't always play what I want and individually selecting episodes I want can be a bit of a hassle. An hour long compilation is exactly what I need.
They have Playlist of most of their videos, bit I agree 💯
My complaint about YT for the day is: that, while we here in this home will watch this at least one more time, i can only 'like' it once.

Parceling out content in smaller chunks when it's brand new is really fun. But once a series is out then I think more compilations should be made.
I rewatch EH content all the time, videos in this format (once fully released) would be great for me
The idea that so much violence was precipitated by lactose intolerance definitely feels like history.

Edit; As a longtime fan I’m also pleased with how some of the older segments has been reworked or tweaked ever so slightly. Nice.
I’m LOVING this longform format. Hope we get more of these with various epochs. The Vikings hold a special place in my Scandinavian heart, but I can’t wait to see stuff like the Bronze Age civilizations, or perhaps a collection of your WWII and WWI clips.
Love this please do this for each of the series if you can it's easier for me to research and I'd love some extra insight the tidbits that we get in lies in the actual video for more context
