- We begin our Whitstable walk in the High street opposite Wheelers Oyster Bar. (Whitstable oysters are famous!) We pass some of Whitstables quirky and independent shops before heading to the the beach. We follow the path along the sea wall to Whitstable Harbour, site of the Harbour Market and Whitstable Fish Market.
We then follow the coastal path to Tankerton Bay, with it's rows of wooden beach huts and long beach.

This is my favourite video of Whitstable, my home town. I miss this place so much and wish I was still there, but I am far away in the USA. Thank you for no music with this as it feels more like being there. I will watch this often.

I haven’t been home in 3 years now since Covid I remember running around theses streets as a kid being 24 it hurts in a wired good way to know at 16 I was stealing wood from the harbour and making fires on the beach of Whitstable I probably angered most people i know. My home town being quite at night but in the same time I felt like the king of the world walking theses streets at night it was my life with my friends and even tho I probably made more problems than helped people I wouldn’t change that feeling of playing around for the world thank you for showing me my home town and I pray that one day I can go back and just enjoy the atmosphere of Whitstable ( the beautiful and amazing home town it is)

Great to see you walking around Whitstable and Tankertown. We usually visit in the winter when it's quiet and stay at the lovely old Marine Hotel, over looking the sea. After seeing your film, looking forward to going back again!
Hi there D, Ah the Marine hotel is that one of the hotels on the cliff top? It's a smashing town isn't it. I was really impressed. Hope you enjoy it as much in the summer as the winter.
Living Walks - The Marine is just after you came up from the beach level at Tankertown. We went to Leigh-on-Sea in January after watching your walk and really enjoyed it there. Keep up the brilliant work.

The lady in pink at 7:15 might be disappointed you did not notice her good self . . . at 15:23 the stall keeper has hers under her chin . . . and of course the man riding a bicycle through town earlier at 2:43.
Certainly face mask wearing is not a popular habit in the U.K apparently. I'm very happy to live in a country where face masks are obligatory, and infection rates are low.

The infection being very low now and the virus seeming to have lost strength is the best news we could have from you.
So happy to hear you relaxed too walking together with us.
Well who knows someday travel will be on again for us and we'll enjoy it all the more I know. A visit to England would be wonderful, as we'd get to meet up! Whitstable is about an hour away for us and I do love the atmosphere there and the little weatherboarded houses. It was a tonic to go there and see things normalising a bit.

Hi 4kE, this was filmed at the weekend, so quite current. Mainly things are open for take away coffee and chips. It's getting quite busy with day trippers. How about in your part of the country?
