The only thing I could think of is migraines as I suffer and I could see fumes causing this but truthfully you spend all that money and time yet no pay off? Here is what you can do with a psychology degree....you can go to graduate school. Then when you graduate, you can become a licensed mental health counselor, a psychologist, etc. You just can't have a BA in psychology unless you want to use it to work in HR and other fields, but you have to pursue your psych degree. I am a psych major pursuing my undergrad and then plan on going to grad school.
You can get a job with just your bachelors (4 years) but it won't near as good as going to graduate school! Getting your doctorate would be the best option though.

As someone from the UK that has been to Uni I find this video fascinating because you do it so so differently to us. We go to university to do one subject and we get student finance, basically the government pay for us to go and then one year after us graduating, once we start earning a certain amount, we start paying it back, it just comes out our wages like taxes. So yeah, hearing how you do it is really interesting, even though we generally get the gist of it from films etc!

What people are looking for is someone with experience, practice, and post-degrees, several of them, someone with the conviction enough to make you feel safe. If you expect to get a job and make a lot of money with the minimum, well, psychology is not the way. To be successful with this career you have to work hard and you have to have vocation, helping has to inspire you more than the money.

I've found that the cheapest way to get textbooks is by renting them on amazon. My books were less than $200 for the semester
