FABULOUS! Thank you so much for the upload! Since about seven years ago, I fell in love with ancient Mesopotamia, particularly the Neo-Assyrian Empire (911-612 BCE). The Hanging Gardens of NINEVEH were built by Sennacherib (reign: 705-681 BCE) Indeed, a new theory started by Dr. Stephanie, claims that the hanging gardens were never in Babylon, but further up to the north ... in Nineveh the Capital of Assyria.
Very nice re-creation of what the HG must have looked like. Scholars who can decipher cuneiform texts have found no mention of gardens among Nebuchadnezzar's writings, yet Sennacherib, the Assyrian king who lived a century before, wrote about building his palace & garden to be "a wonder for all peoples."
Yes definitely the irrigation was from #Top to #Bottom 👍 So the Hanging Gardens Were in Somewhere on Mountain 🏔️ With Natural Water Source of mountain springs and the Babylonian or Assyrians Extended the Irrigation channels from that water sources 💦💦💧 . 👍 This is my opinion,
It was definitely on terraces, but the source of the water is believed to be supplied by Archimedes screws the carried the water to the top. These were referenced in the Greek sources and in cuneiform inscriptions in Nineveh. Remarkable engineering for the time!
You need more exposure, Ancient history, information are becoming more and more valuable each day, facing dangers of extinction from every corner, from nature to terrorism. Virtual Reality can help conserve these relics of the past in the form of Virtual Reality. My only conclusion is you need more exposure. Too little people know about this.
it's been theorised by scholar Stephanie Dalley that perhaps it never existed in Babylon in the first place but rather.. Nineveh. Suggesting that it was an error of translation as the stories of the wonder were recited by the Greeks. She's written a book about it :)
@@cinnabonluver28 Yes I agree, Stephanie Dalley has got it right as there is so much evidence in Nineveh in cuneiform which she can read in the Ancient Babylonian language used in Nineveh, and descriptions there are numerous. Dalley gives so much rich information about the screws which turned and lifted the water without anyone being able to see it which have the names of the fern trees which grew like a cylinder and were actually used as well to lift water up where it was needed. Wow! Beautiful!

Well made. Beautiful.
It is a little glitchy but I still like it

Now, craft a working model for us to play with. 😊👍

So, are you saying that ...
... Nineveh had hanging garden BEFORE Babylon, perhaps just not as grand of scale?

The entrance gate at nineveh is known as babylon gate, the greek historian erroneosly though the hanging garden were in babylon.
