SEPTEMBER 2021, my first day back at school from over a year and a half due to COVID was a few days away. I randomly find a video for this band called The Starting Line on UA-cam for a song “The Best Of Me” I remember seeing a long time ago. From that moment on Say It Like You Mean it changed my life. I was 16 going into the 11th grade head over heels for a girl I had been chasing since I was 13. That year was a time I wish I could relive and go back to. I can still see myself stepping off the bus walking into my school blasting “Decisions, Decisions” in my headphones with my baggy Dickie’s and blacked out Vans. Going over and over in my head how I was going to approach that girl who would then later become my girlfriend (now Ex-girlfriend) Here I am the same time of year now newly dropped off for my first year of college listening to this same song and same record blown away with where time has gone. Make every moment count people, you never know that certain times became life changing moments until they are gone.
