@@OP_-pk9hm I'm '99, you know this wasn't our era right? stop behaving like you belonged to it, because people who grew in the emo era are 30 or 40 now and we're not
Trust me, people were saying the same thing in 2008 (the year this song came out). I was a teen then, and the young adults around their 20s/30s thought that we were a bunch of fools because of the music we listened to, and said how we didn't have "real" music anymore and everything was so much better in the 90s. And my parents thought music in the 90s was stupid and thought it was so much better in the 70s/80s when they were young. And I'm sure that in 2028, the kids of today will be reminiscing about music from 2018 and saying what a "simpler time" it was and how we actually had "real music". It never stops...people always think the music they grew up with is the best and the "last good era of music".
CherryFrog321 but heres the thing todays music has nothing good at all no effort YOU HAD TO HAVE TALENT TO BE GOOD now you can be what you want which sucks
SNM ROCKET talentless hacks have been in the music industry since Elvis and Led Zeppelin. White people just let them get away with the amount of shit they stole from black artists because they’re nostalgic for those eras. I’d much rather hear Ariana Grande’s manufactured music such as Sweetener than have to sit through another Led Zeppelin song they ripped from a much better black blues artist.
i randomly remembered this song and put it on and my entire body went cold. i literally cannot feel my limbs right now this song is sending me into a manic episode.

I had it paused, I had to make sure I was on the right video when I saw this lol
rawr xD
the mashup of dear maria and check yes gives me life
Dang I said this is the last for tonight
I listen to this song sometimes but watching the video is SOOO much better!!!
nostalgia is so bittersweet
My heart burns with nostalgia...
Check yes, Juliet
Are you with me?
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside
Check yes, Juliet
Kill the limbo
I'll keep tossing rocks at your window
There's no turning back for us tonight
[Pre-chorus:]
Lace up your shoes
Ayo ayo
Here's how we do
[Chorus:]
Run, baby, run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance
Don't sell your heart, don't say we're not meant to be
Run, baby, run, forever we'll be
You and me
Check yes, Juliet
I'll be waiting
Wishing, wanting yours for the taking
Just sneak out and don't tell a soul goodbye
Check yes, Juliet
Here's the countdown:
3, 2, 1, now fall in my arms now
They can change the locks, don't let them change your mind
[Pre-chorus]
[Chorus]
We're flying through the night
We're flying through the night
Way up high
The view from here is getting better with you by my side
Run, baby, run
Don't ever look back
They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance
Don't sell your heart, don't say we're not meant to be
Run, baby, run, forever we'll be
[Chorus]
You and me
You and me
Sparky you're right. We can all hear this song perfectly. Thank you so much.

best time i've ever had
It was amazing
Fuck, I miss music like this. Here we are in 2016 were the younger generation listens to "music" you can't even understand.
I still listen to we the kings! So it's all good but I understand what you mean! This generation music sucks
So true. I'm in the 8th grade now, and people call me old fashioned for listening to We The Kings
I'm 14 and I love this band
TalkWithYourMusic don't listen to those pesky 8th graders. Cunts can't even understand mumble!
13 years and still here
its crazy how this band never broke out. they aren't even signed to a label anymore. I don't understand it
Im guessing you're joking
Ragnarok Productions
no joke. mainstream success has eluded this band.
Just an indie band but I think their signed to something for UA-cam , I know at least Travis is
+Kamillo Gutierr actually Travis the lead singer is now a UA-cam and he's married and having a child
+MakeupOrNotLovley Travis had his kid and they have a label
I haven't heard this song in years!!! The memories
I was a young child in the early 2000s, and I loved it more than now. I was born in 2003, and I'll greatly miss 2006 - 2009. Im a high school teen now....
Yeah me too
We still with the shits tho
it's 2024, I'm 17, yet I appreciate songs like these more than the songs played everywhere nowadays. I'm hoping I still could find songs like these in the future.
Im drunk af and listening to my fav old emo songs.
I miss those days too buddy. It's gonna be okay
OH SAAAAAME
I don't really think of this as an "emo" song tbh
me too
ME
Still a bop. 34 years old and this still takes me back to highschool ❤
"Wanting, waiting, I'm yours for the taking"
remind me of another song *cough* Stay Awake by ATL *cough*
So Wrong, It's Right is such an amazing album!
Stay Awake was released like a week before Check Yes Juliet. Both songs would have already been written weeks if not months prior. The chance of WTK hearing Stay Awake and then writing, producing and releasing an entire song in a week with a copied lyric? Literally 0%. It's coincidence :)
Still fresh after years
i used to listen to this song so much i miss it
Legend still has it that they're still running from her dad
What was this era of music called I just remember calling it HotTopic music there were hella good bands that vanished
johnnycage435 This is pop-punk. “Hot Topic, music” could also refer to emo.
Emo punk or Emo rock
It's definitely not emo punk lol
johnnycage435 the best times
TheNagisa24 nah surely it's emo
I still remember when I was a kid in EF education, a foreign teacher named Sean played this song in class, years laterI still remember, I am beyond grateful for his enlightenment to me.
It's 2016 and I'm still here. I believe I'm caught in a portal from 2004-2010
Same
your caught in a dumbass portal you dumbass
+Happy Cat im sorry but pp GAAAY
+Natalie Williams your cute ay
eddy duarte Okay lol
If only music today was this good....
TheMCGamer289 - Minecraft and More!
Agreed
I beg to differ.
I think music today is still this good. You just have to look for it.
TheGamingAsian yep
there's plenty of good music, you just gotta learn how to look for it
This song I knew from radio Disney awhile ago so I started a watching ctfxc in early 2013 and when I found out Charles was in this band I was so happy lol .
Sometimes I listen to this song and remember by childhood love. Those were great days.
i am a 15 year old. It’s currently 7:15 pm i’m packing to move to another state and blasting this song in my ears. It’s one of my favorites
You sound like a good kid, keep listening to those classics!! You’ll see a lot of “old” people in the comments but trust me, we’re still young. 99’ kid here, we ain’t old yet! Blast them suckers and stay on the genuine music path, all that new stuff bunch of clout chasing. This is where the heart is
If you want more nostalgia, check out this video. This guy made a version to sound like its playing in a empty Circuit City.

im 15 too this song a banger
hey dude im an ex military kid, good luck with the move ik they're tough
@@OP_-pk9hm I'm '99, you know this wasn't our era right? stop behaving like you belonged to it, because people who grew in the emo era are 30 or 40 now and we're not
WHEN MUSIC WAS MUSIC AND ARTISTS REALLY WROTE THEIR OWN LYRICS FROM THEIR SOULD AND HEART AND THE VOCALS WERE ON POINT
geek
Yooo delete this, the lyrics really aren’t as deep as you think they are my guy
I’d much rather hear Ariana Grande’s manufactured music such as Sweetener than have to sit through another Led Zeppelin song they ripped from a much better black blues artist.
this is the first song I ever heard by WTK I just started listening a few weeks ago when I heard it on the radio and I love it
احلى اغنية سمعتها بحياتي ولاعزاء للحاقدين

i randomly remembered this song and put it on and my entire body went cold. i literally cannot feel my limbs right now this song is sending me into a manic episode.

Rewind me back to this time 😩 teenage days!
It's been 7 years since this came out....
And I still remember every last word. :)
actually almost 10... the music video was uploaded on UA-cam, like 2 years after it first came out
Jennifer Davis yeah I was on about the video. I remember when the actual song came out, I was like, 10
Hayley Milas18 oh okay 😊
Hayley Milas18 every good song came out at least 7 years ago
savana shyann judkins that is so true, I wish there was more songs like this nowadays
Still listening in 2015 :)
I really wish music like this was still being made ... and LISTENED TO
Minted Steveo479
Same
There are. Check out bands that hail from Hopeless, Epitaph and Pure Noise records. A bunch of the bands that come from each of the labels are currently earning minor popularity.
My Older Brother William was 11 years old and I was 6 years old when We The Kings released "Check Yes Juliet" on February the 4th of 2008.
These guys deserve more credit
