When i first finished the original halo trilogy, i was too young to really take it all in. After years i went back to the trilogy as an adult, and i can say this is truly the ONLY game that made me break down. Idk what it is, but it just felt so overwhelming. I will ALWAYS hold that trilogy in my top 3 storylines ive ever experienced. It just hit the bar and sent it to zeta halo!

For us Halo fans these gold teir games hold true even now more than ever. Do I wish the great storytelling to return in Halo. With every drop of my blood in my body, hell yes!!!!!!!! The rich lore and gameplay is what Halo infinite is missing. No real deapth of lore or anything just a storyline that is not complete or missing completely. As for the nastalga this will live in our hearts and minds. With this said. Standing by 5-5 for further transmissions.

It gives them this "everyman" quality that we can more easily identify with. Like with how when you're a kid, you're more into Superman and Goku, but later identify with Batman and Vageta more because we know what it's like to work harder than others for the same results.
Also the design of the ODST armour and their overall concept is very badass. Dont get me wrong i love spartans as much as anyone else but i REALLY love ODSTs
the drop sequence at the beginning of ODST is still, i think, one of the best moments in all of gaming. also ur content just keeps getting better dude; production is so clean.
The Halo universe has near limitless opportunities for spin offs from the main lore. All of my favorite Halo games didn’t even feature Master Chief. I hope we get more content like that! Great video!

One things for certain, it takes some serious balls to drop out of a pod in a middle of a battle, while fellow ODSTs gets shot down all around. And even when you finally crash successfully you are expected to defeat the enemy with or without support from ground, air or space. Compare that to a Spartan which is already a one man army in him/herself. Definitely respect the ODSTs.
It was the ODST that maintained the peace that the UEG before the Human-Covenant war, and during the war they will show their heroism and courage innumerable times.
@@samuel10125 yes they are in H3 ODST most of the ODSTs drop pod landed in the ocean In Halo 2 you can see the precautions made to keep the ODSTs alive with the air breaks to prevent the pods from going too fast and the armor for ODSTs it self is made so you don’t die from the heat of dropping from orbit pods also have thrusters for course correction the pods seen in the missions “Delta Halo” and “The Ark” are completely sealed off like in the H2 cutscenes In the ending cutscenes of the mission “Long Night of Solace” your seen wearing a backpack made for reentry Covie from pods have thrusters on the bottom to keep the passengers alive Drop pods are safer than they first seem but still really dangerous
Yeah it's a lot easier to relate with the ODSTs than the Spartans, as players. We all know how it feels to work harder at something for the same results compared to someone that has advantages you don't.
Odst still have their place after being replaced as best. Being much cheaper than spartans and can cover missions that spartans can't. Ashamed that the odst have taking a backseat in the later lore. They're my favorite soldiers
Thinking back when I was reading the combat evolved novel I was constantly shaking my head at one chapter where the arrogant marine who wanted to jump the flood infested truth and reconciliation directly to earth.

You were a bit off on the Spartan-IVs and Alpha Nine, Alpha Nine got upgraded to Spartan-IVs and the ODSTs who became Spartans became Spartan-IVs when they joined the Spartan-IV Program. There were no ODSTS who were mislabeled as Spartan-IVs they became Spartan-IVs

Putting this here for anyone who owns a pc and wants to play as a odst fighting innies, the game ready or not has a mod overhauling it to be set in the halo universe, currently only has odst armour, the sidekick and the shotgun, they plan to add more weapons and maps
The tragedy about the insurrection is that the Innies had very valid points. By all standards, the UEG implimented a dystopian technocracy anywhere they went.
I kinda want a Halo game that’s like ODST but instead you’re literally just a normal marine and you fight in the frontlines and most missions end with retreat and the ones we’re you win involved ODST or Spartans fighting with you and the story isn’t mostly based what you’re doing but instead it’s based around who you are and who you are fighting with

What’s interesting to me too is that Sgt Stacker is a ODST even though we mostly see him as a Marine. Makes me wonder if there are other high ranking members of the Marine and Army who are also ODST qualified

Still amazes me that the UNSC is so imperfect and got to deal with revolutionaries, right the covenant, and fight the flood all in one time period, then straight after the Covenant comes the forerunner technology and then the banished, like my guy why are there humans revolting. ODSTs are an even more interesting part of Halo than Spartans are. I loved H3 ODST and I wish we'd get to see more ODST titles as we stray further from where I envisioned Halo would go. Instead of inventing more far off story I wish they'd fill in gaps already existing, cover new angles, and let us be more vulnerable. We all know very well what being the Spartan feels like. If we could get more opportunities to experience different roles I think it would really spice up the Halo Universe. Let us play as ODSTs again, even Marines. What about covering the time just between the insurrection and covenant wars?

Still amazes me that the UNSC is so imperfect and got to deal with revolutionaries, right the covenant, and fight the flood all in one time period, then straight after the Covenant comes the forerunner technology and then the banished, like my guy why are there humans revolting. I understand they kidnapped kids but atleast they’re making literally super humans and not taking them to Jeffery epstiens island like they do here.

ODSTs are an even more interesting part of Halo than Spartans are. I loved H3 ODST and I wish we'd get to see more ODST titles as we stray further from where I envisioned Halo would go. Instead of inventing more far off story I wish they'd fill in gaps already existing, cover new angles, and let us be more vulnerable. We all know very well what being the Spartan feels like. If we could get more opportunities to experience different roles I think it would really spice up the Halo Universe. Let us play as ODSTs again, even Marines. What about covering the time just between the insurrection and covenant wars?
