I went fishing for trout for the first time in winter months today. I didn’t get out until about 14:00, so it was only 2 hours, but I got some nibbles. I’m a new fisherman, so still trying to figure out what the heck I’m supposed to do, lol! Thanks for the video share.
Trout fishing is hard man, especially when the creeks in you area are fished a lot. I’ve been out 3 times this year and haven’t had luck. Gonna try the trout magnets next time
Great Job on catching all those trout. You make it look so easy. Where I live in the rivers there are more small mouth bass and they love the trout magnets too. I will have to try your baits some day.
Hi NRV. Another great video. Question. Do you bother placing a swivel between your main line and an inline spinner. I know that Fishhawk always does. ?? Thanks
hi what river is that? looks super clear...is it lawful to keep them too or only catch and release? I know you can keep 5 in many places but not sure if it applied to winter fishing too? thanks
Too much work and no fishing. Glad you keep those videos rolling. Gonna stock up this Spring on some creek bugs and minners. Going to start my fishing travels in April
I can't count the number of Big Trout ive caught after using the old Spinners to find them. As u did you can usually go back and catch them once u know they're active. Fishing been great down here in NC on our delayed harvest areas. Caught 14 more today after work. Had stream to myself. Pumpkinseed TM did the trick.Good video per the norm.
Close season for brown trout here in Scotland until the end of March, Rainbows only stocked in commercial trout stillwaters,so I'm going a bit crazy at the moment. Keep the films coming buddy. 👍
Great video still super warm here in colorado. Had some luck on the platte River last weekend with some Joe's Flys spinners. Might be a silly question but can you do a casting tutorial for how you hold the line with your hand? Great video as always!
Great video I enjoyed see how good thoses creek.bugs work and as I said in few videos before I'll be glad to buy a couple of packs of black and pink for spring season in Canada' come April. 2022. And put me down in that give away lol. Thanks Mike
I like using mealworms on a trout magnet rig with a bobber in the winter I raise my own mealworms got about ,1,000 right now but I'm deer hunting right now then I'll be back trout fishing
Great job out there crushing those trout, I know for certain I'm going to be spending some time fishing tailwaters with a split shot rig. I had a quick question though if you wouldn't mind. You see I fish quite a lot and by far my biggest issue is that my waders haven't been holding up and both my hip waders and chest waders have so many holes that I can't seem to patch them all up. It's not the most fun thing in the world, especially during the winter when warmth is of the essence. That being said, do you have any recommendations for chest waders or hip waders that are durable and will last in the cold weather? Any advice would be very much appreciated

It can definitely help with line twist. I've never been a fan of adding a swivel

Great catches on different lures in winter. Come and fish in NJ very few trout. Where are you fishing?
Virginia
We have a ton of trout in nj
Why not reverse the handle on your reel to the left side since you cast with your right hand?
Absolutely stinkin wreck em! Love it!

Always love your videos. I’m in Wise County Va. Would love to visit that stream sometime. Where is it located?
It's Ravens Cliff
No fall or winter fishing in trout streams in California. Lakes only.
Do you feed the line out with your left hand while drifting to better allow you to detect a bite?
Definitely! Thanks for watching
So how do you select places like these? I live in Washington state btw.

Great video as usual. What time of the day do go out during the winter?
I prefer the middle of the day if possible. The warmer hours of the day are typically the best during winter

I’m gonna be fishing tomorrow at big bear lake and the weather is 33 degrees do you have any advice or tips?
Have fun & don't be afraid to change up lures & bates regularly! Finding the bait of the day is key this time of year.
@@NRVOutdoors thank you 🤙

I had similar luck with waders until I switched to frog togg. They have a huge selection and a fair price.
@@NRVOutdoors Thanks for the tip, looking at their selection and it seems they have just what I'm looking for. I'll be getting some soon for sure
How is that possible I’ve tried spinners like that many time and they always come ip empty
Win!
Thanks for watching!

Just trolling to see what others youtubers are near me. Wassup from the 804!

Thanks for watching!
I want some please
you make this look way too easy...
With water that clear you must have spotted every fish you caught and had the whole stream to yourself.
Yeap!!
shocked you don't have fishing gloves where you can expose your thumb and index fingers but cover the rest of your fingers and hands
I do but completely forgot to pack them. They are officially in the tackle box now!
Good - better to bring and not need vs. leaving them at home. A Fall/Winter/early Spring staple.
You did awesome...I need those creek bugs in my life! 😁
