I'm comparing it to real movies. Not adult comic book hero sagas millennials never grew out of. I liked it. A lot. Like, I haven't seen anything close to it since Oppenheimer or Top Gun: Maverick. Nothing close. I can't wait to see the next one. But then, I saw The Outlaw Josey Wales in the Theater. If you don't have a three digit IQ at a bare _minimum_ you ain't gonna like it.
I loved the movie. It may not be perfect but its good and ambitious. We need to support passion projects like Horizon. We need to support the movie-going experience. Dances With Wolves is a fantastic film. Kevins other great Western, Open Range is totally worth a look. "Are you the guy who killed our friend?" Im sorry to disagree with you but Unforgiven is a terrific film. "Damn it! I aint like that no more, Ned!" And WTF are you talking about? Sam Worthington is never the main guy? He's the Avatar. He's Jake Sully. He saves Pandora.
I do enjoy passion projects, esp. when they have a defined vision. Putting your money up for it is respectful I feel no matter how much it makes. Kudos to Costner for that. -R
It’s good, not great. Shocked at how it’s directed. It’s all over the map. And to be fair visually it’s not even as good as Dances with Wolves. It’s more of a 10 part show. I hope all 4 parts come out.

Would love to have seen Outlaw on the big screen....-R
@@Xtrememovieshow Yeah. It was made for it, for sure. There are a few Westerns that simply aren't the same on small screens.
@@zippitydoodah5693 I would recommend Bone Tomahawk with Kurt Russell. Sleepy but good...-R

I see what your saying; don't know if as a passion project Costner can't see that. We'll see about 3 & 4. -Rob
I was able to follow Horizon just fine
