What a sense of accomplishment they all must have felt! Everyone associated with this series delivered a gift to its fans and viewers each week. Nice to go out on top!
It's just like Pilot, shaw didn't have a purpose anymore, so the machine hired her again, even the machine said that it hired her for who she is, and the episode ends with Shaw walking the same way John walks in Pilot, these little details!
Yet her personality went from robotic by blindly following the machine in a robotic way to human, ironically around the time she became The Machine's voice
When Harold first set up the relevant/irrelevant function, Nathan said everyone's relevant to someone. And now in the final shot, the Machine's chevrons appear around everyone in the street - however this new version of the Machine sees its mission now, everyone is relevant, everyone matters, there is no person who is not of interest.
@@djchiesa3567 finally found someone with some sense, any tv show/movie remake or reboot made in today’s pc society will be absolutely awful. It’s already been happening to shows that are still running, the later seasons of most shows are all just pandering to the sjw crowd
The funniest part is, it's literally the eastiest pick up in the world because 5x12 confirmed multiple Team Machine teams, and you could go with the Logan Pierce gang or create a new one somewhere else, and along that line you could get back to the Seasons 1 and 2 theme of just saving people in danger with overarching storylines.
John's last name starts With (Tal) and ends in a(s). There is 2 maybe 3 letters left. I came up with (s) in the season 2 the episode where John steals the marshals badge. Joss ask an old serves friend to get John's record for her eyes only. The picture was in the way for his name, but it ended in a(s). Even though John did not know Joss knew about John she never condeemed him. In fact she respected him more. Chirp
Such a great show!!! And remember the machine started another team. The marine the exocentric tech billionaire... I would like to see a spin-off with that team.
The Machine pretended to be gone (dead) so that Harold would feel safe returning to Grace. It was "her" sacrifice so that Harold could live out his days in happiness with Grace. She told Shaw how Shaw is a straight line, and arrow... meaning Shaw is unwavering (in the literal sense of the notion of "wave(ring)"). The Machine had already planned on recruiting Shaw to continue saving people. It had told Harold that it watched so many people die unable to do anything to save them. Thus, the Machine had given Harold his peace...a life with Grace. Now, it would work to save people through the team(s) it had established. It also learned that the ONLY way to truly defeat Samaritan was to make Samaritan think that the Machine was desperate and committed enough to stopping Samaritan that it would kill itself in order to take out Samaritan. That's why Samaritan was on the run...ICE-9 was killing both of them and Samaritan fled (sending its ONLY copy into a dormant Russian satellite) hoping to escape the Machine.
Did she hear John's voice? Root's voice? Moreover, was it a definite ending? I kinda forgot about it. Could a couple of last episodes be one of those simulations?
It was a simulation. Or Root and the machine faked her death. The phone rang Root was on the line, saying it’s over come find me. Only Root made her smile like that… I maintain that Root and the machine made a deal, Root would never betray Harold until Samaritan had Sameen, so the machine brought Sameen back and in exchange Root faked her death in order to force Harold to act and destroy Samaritan and reupload a free machine. The machine predicted all of these things.Go back and listen to the conversation between Root and Harold the day after Sameen came home when Harold decided to close the machine’s system.
The dialogue that happened after the cut away at 2:18.... Harold: Grace... Grace: Harold! You've alive. Those men who kidnapped me, who you traded yourself to to save me... I thought they killed you. Harold: You knew? Grace: I thought you died in the ferry bombing for years. But then when I was kidnapped, and that awful man didn't stop questioning me until right after I told them about you. And then I felt you catch me when I tripped during the exchange. Harold: I didn't say anything. Grace: I recognized your gentleness, Harold. I was angry for a while, when I realized you were alive, that you faked your death at the ferry. But then I realized that since those people came after me to get to you, you must have been hiding to protect me. Your friends, Fusco, and the man who used the name "Stills"... They were helping you. Harold: Yes...

Kinda like John handing over the torch to Shaw. As his story and duty ended Shaws just beginning
In my head canon, sometime after Shaw got the call, she hooked back-up with Fusco and the two of them formed another "Team Machine" for NYC.
And they get Caleb to be the next Finch.
No, Shaw was tired.

it was an interesting and curious event to watch the character Root evolve from an organic life form to being the sentient part of the machine.

Best fucking ending for any show
I really wish this show would come back or at least a spin off
LOL not with today's woke controlling our lives!

Wow lol
I loved that fact his name was "Mr. Reese".
As in Mysteries.

I always wondered, did she hear "Root's" voice?
Is that why she hangs up with a smile?
POI 2.0 🤞
I wish fusco and Shaw knew what happened with Reese and Finch at the end, they make it seem like they’re waiting, hoping to hear from them
Yeah, that and a few other things about the finale bother me.

I liked the part when she said I am here for the dog. She gave more importance to the dog and not AI the machine.
Everyone dies alone… 😢statement to remember for life

I missed Finch come back Finch
they could have done some spin off shows from these characters, Shaw, Finch, the little girl, etc.
And John Reese... :((
