This movie is really worth rewatching, it has so many little things to notice... like Roz interface colors meaning different emotions... Red for damage/pain, green for curiosity, blue for task, yellow for fear, pink for love... You can see a spec of it in her eyes when she gets Broghtbill's egg, the right side of her face lighting up pink when brightbill lay on her for the first time, she flashing red when brightbill screams with her, showing that emotional damage is also damage for her...and so on...
It's been said before about Roz's voice becoming more human as the movie progresses, but the little detail I love about Roz's voice is how she develops humanistic sounds under her voice. Try listening closely to her words. When Brightbill and Roz had an argument, she started to stutter, not like a robot but as a human. The way she "exhales" her words in Roz's short conversation with Rummage. The moment she sees Brightbill after his migration, she says, "He's alive" as if she had a lump on her throat. And lastly, just before she leaves the island, her voice goes down to a whisper and the modulations to reassure Brightbill and the others.
Those colors also apply to when we get to see from Roz's POV. Learned from the art book, when Roz and Fink tried to go back to Brightbill to try and help him learn to fly and he told Roz that she'd finished whatever task she was trying to do ( 31:09 ) her UI lights up red, which usually is only reserved for when she gets damaged. Brightbill's comment damaged her emotionally there.
"Kindness is a survival skill" is a line I pulled from this film that is going to be with me for the rest of my life. I saw this in theaters and I UGLY CRIED like... FIVE TIMES...
did u just write Five cause it was way more than 2-3 times and u forgot the count of the number of times u broke down? cause if yes, then i'm exactly the same :P
Btw! Thunderbolt, Brightbills flight instructor, is a peregrine falcon, which is the fastest bird/animal on earth and can reach up to around 200 mph while diving, and thats the main way they hunt. So Roz definitely got a qualified instructor!
The Wild Robot has AMAZING casting. Not only is everyone really good at acting in general, they're all very talented VAs. I normally don't like celebrity screen actors as VAs but these guys have definitely changed my opinion on that. RANGE, PEOPLE. RANGE. I didn't hear Lupita or Pedro or Mark. I just heard Roz and Fink and Thorn 🤩
Agreed. My understanding is that voice acting is a related but separate skillset. According to what I've heard from voice directors, it's closer to stage acting than camera acting; the need to ACT BIG in order to convey the right emotions goes VA > stage > camera. Mostly-VAs who occasionally do on-camera work tend to get told to tone things down by 300% Some people can do both/all, some are much much better in their preferred field - which is no shame, but "big acting names" shouldn't be expected to _automatically_ do great as VAs without any training or experience.
I was a bit hesitant to watch the movie when it released. But I did, and I absolutely loved it. This movie is just simply amazing. It's easily one of my favourite recently released animated movies.
Went into the movie the same way, no trailers just billboards and posters. When I heard Lupita N'yongo (i hope I spelled that right) was in it, I thought she would be Fink and that Roz would be silent. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized Roz spoke, and I thought this movie is on par with or even better whatever silent version could have come from it!
My 8 year old and I were bawling in the theater!! Glad you got to finally upload this one!! “oh god this is gonna be a bitch to post” - the foreshadowing 🤣
You've truly become one of my favourite reaction and commentary person. You're just so chill, wholesome and welcoming. Love how much you laughed and enjoyed this movie and it's humour. The macabre jokes are so plentiful and a pleasant surprise hahah. Also love me a foudn family, and not just the main trio, love how the Possums and Beaver get close as well.
Tears. Absolute tears. Loved this movie. Thanks for the reaction! The voice acting was great. Loved Pedro Pascal as Fink. Your commentary is also awesome.
I cried five times in this movie. I liked it so much I went and got the books. They actually took a lot of inspiration from Bambi and there's a lot of death in that movie too
My friend recommend me to watch it. And they were right, the animation was really gorgeous, so pretty. And had some really funny moments which made me laugh at times.
I just saw a movie that came out a couple years ago, that was surprisingly nice! It's called "ChickenHare and the Hamster of Darkness" Would love to see your thoughts on it! I believe it was either a Disney, or some other popular studio film- That they cancelled the project on, and it got picked up by a different studio and made into a full film! I really liked the character design of the main character ChickenHare, and I NEVER saw any advertising for this movie?? Like this was CRIMINALLY undersold imo, it came out in 2022 and I never heard anything about it until yesterday RIP
A good dreamworks movie you could watch is Megamind (2010). And whatever you hear about a second movie or a tv show isnt true, there is only 1 megamind and thats it :3. /s
It's awesome to see someone react in a similar way that I did. I loved this movie. Laughed and cried through the entire movie. I found it to be absolutely gorgeous and beautiful in both it's messages but also it's visuals. One, if not my absolute favorite animated movie, or movie just in general.
7:32 WHAT IS THIS LUCK,if you think this is bad luck check out skydance animation's first animated film:Luck about an unlucky woman comes across a very lucky black cat!
Funny you mention that. One of my friends loves animals to death and hates it when animals get hurt. She already started crying at the scene where Brightbill's parents and eggs were crushed. She was destroyed by the migration scene.
@ I watched this in theatre with a friend of mine and I turned to her during the migration scene and she was bAWLING HER EYES OUT I was also emotional, even if less than her, so I just mouthed "me too" to her before turn in to the screen again
Fright Krewe by DreamWorks is a 2 season show you should check out! Around Halloween time or on a Friday the 13th if u have other stuff to get to first.
@@patrickorlea8539 Honest question. Why would you watch a reaction to a movie you haven't seen? What kind of joy could you possibly get out of this? Are you just what the Studios fear and using reactors to get free media? I hope you see this and give an honest answer. Have a good day.
I cried way more watching this reaction videos then when i watched alone. 💕 Will you please react to DANDADAN i see you seact to anime too. Pretty please 🥺🙏

That's also one of the big themes in EEAAO.
Let’s hope it doesn’t get deleted while I’m half way through again😭😭😭
I thought the same thing lol…been waiting for this reaction

Technically the fastest bird, in a dive. Many birds are quicker in level flight, but yeah it is pretty badass!
@@__-fm5qv it's definitely a technicality, but the fact that they can reach that speed is nuts

Glad you were able to get this back up

I didn’t even notice that
Finally someone noticed
Missed it the first time, but so glad you went to the effort of getting it back; it's a great reaction and love your thoughts on the film.

I love how EVERYONE has had the same silent "oh god did they just..." reaction to the possum baby "dying" and the mom's like "...six babies"

Hey, Omni. That post-movie dialogue you gave deserves an award, dude. So articulate to get all that out mostly on the fly. Good stuff!

Yay i'm so glad you were able to fix it, will watch it full until the last seconds to hopefully make up for some of the lost views 🤝
First time I watched it, I cried literally 4 times. Fink saying "Fly like you, not like them." is going to stick with me for a long time.
51:05 I love how the hand poses, waves at Vontra as a way to say "Goodbye B*tch" lol
10/10 blurriest film of 2024
I enjoy The Wild Robot Movie 2024 and Brightbill and Fink The Fox are my favorite characters from this movie
This is one of my favorite movies, it's so sweet and impactful, and beautifully done :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!

On first watch I had a sneaking suspicion the bear was Mark Hamill because you can hear a bit of Skips from Regular Show in his voice.
Robots are really fascinating 🥹
I'd love for this film to be nominated for Best Picture, not just Best Animated Picture. It's good!
