I was at the start finish line.... Never will forget that day... We take way too much for granted... Thanks for all the memories Nascar! Now i go to Talladega with my sons an grandson... Building even more memories!
Dale E will always be #1 in Nascar to me, followed very closely by my #2, Dale Jr. RIP Dale E and best wishes to you and your family Dale Jr. God bless ! Charlie Daniels did a bang up job of this song, love it. RIP Charlie !
Dale Sr. was the best driver in Winston Cup and NASCAR with 76 wins. The day he wrecked the # 3 for the last time I shut down completely. I felt as though I had lost my best friend. Dale you are missed very much, and loved more than you could ever know. You will never be forgotten. This song is so very awesome.
Nascar didn't retire Dale's number, it was always respect for the man nobody used it. Like Richard Petty's number, it wasn't used out of respect. There is no respect for the legends that made NASCAR. I liked it when they drove Real Cars that looked like what they are supposed to be driving.
I was there that day, it was incredible! We had seats in one of the Birmingham towers close to the exit of pit road. This Gordon fan sitting next to me, hated Dale Earnhardt at the beginning of the race. With 3 laps to go, my buddy told him Dale was coming to the front and that dude laughed. At the end of the race, he said it,"Dale Earnhardt is the best!" Daytona's this weekend, 11 years gone. R.I.P. #3
Ol Ironhead was absolutely the best to ever. NASCAR has never and will never be like it was. I lived to watch #3. I lost the love for racing that sad sad day my hero died.
Chris Johnson I still love watching 10 greatest Earnhardt moments. My favorite clip is in Japan when Sr n Jr are both driving Coca Cola cars. Jr cuts the old man off n Sr proceeds to jack him up clear down the next straight. One of the commentators says that's when Jr REALLY learned what The Intimidator was all about. I became an Earnhardt fan at Daytona in 79 when I was 11 years old. I was also there in 98 when he won it all and again on that terrible day when NASCAR changed forever. I still enjoy NASCAR and go to Michigan flying my Earnhardt flags every year, but, I still can't bring myself to go back to Daytona. I don't have a favorite driver anymore. There'll NEVER be another Intimidator and, the way NASCAR is these days, with all of the rules and corporate P.C. crap, they couldn't handle another one!
I remember my grandma telling me about this Dale Earnhardt moment. Personally I could not believe it until I saw this video. Its still sad Dale died :(
What's even sadder is that it could've been avoided if NASCAR implemented the HANS device much earlier, but they didn't; as a result, we not only lost Earnhardt, but Richard Petty's grandson Adam too
Dale SR was my favorite NASCAR driver back then... he is the #1person that made me smile... and my mom's mom she was the #2person that made me smile... I miss Dale SR... I remember him... now #3 is in a better place... #3 is my lucky number... because of Dale SR...his son Dale JR is still racing... Dale JR followed his dad's footsteps...#3😀😇💗🌷🌹...#88😀😇💗🌹🌷
I remember watching this race on TV. Nobody else on that track could have done what Dale did coming thru the pack like that. I was rooting for him that day and he didn't let down. That was his last victory before he passed away and I'll never forget it. Thanks for the memories Dale. You are the king of NASCAR.
This was just possibly the greatest win of his career. Barring the 1998 win at Daytona., he really had to do some driving to win this race! I’m his biggest fan. He was the Man!
That man was amazing. I was too young to understand what had taken place in 2001, but I later caught on that my favorite driver wasn't coming back. I was 6 when he died. Still feels like yesterday. I remember every little detail about the accident. My old friend (who I hate now) told me that he was glad Dale Sr died. I remember punching him square in the nose! I actually broke it! I was only 6 but if someone talked crap about my favorite driver, I didn't like it too much. MAN IN BLACK FOREVER!!!
Good for you and anybody that says that they are glad somebody died and they didn't even know him I would have punched him too that's right good for you number 3 forever rest in peace number three
I was at the 2021 500, and I was sitting right on turn 4, on lap 3, EVERYONE held up 3 fingers to honor Dale. Plus my truck is all decked out in Dale Earnhardt sr.
That was my NASCAR❤️. OUR NASCAR. ❤️ I was a Gordon fan but loved Dale too...yeah that WAS possible people ❤️👍. There was nothing better than #24 vs #3. Never same since. Thanks. Great video. Great song.
My wife and I were down there for that race we got to see Dale win his 76th and final victory my wife and I were honored to be there to be able to witness that we were both so happy because we were huge Earnhardt fans who would have known it was going to be his last victory it's been 18 years we still love and miss you very much along with millions of other race fans the sport misses him as well hasn't been the same since he left l and it never will be God bless you Dale race and peace
Dale was and will always be nascar..back when Nascar was exciting to watch..r.i.p to the Nascar legend and the country music legend..yall have a beer for me up there..
I miss when you could pass. lol, nowdays, there are just to many rules. I loved the pass in here where dale when below the yellow to push around- now that, that is racing.
the intimidator will always be the best i was a young boy in the stands at the Daytona 500 when he died changed my life forever no one will replace him in nascar
I am 10 years old my papa has showed me the true meaning of racing and I see it is nothing like it was in the day all because the best NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt sr. Is gone but not forgotten.
So who's up with me you and everybody else In Crowd so who will be the Nascar driver this year who's going to be champion of the Winston Cup from 1989 Winston Cup champion what number 3 Goodwrench service Dale
Earnhardt Sr is now and will forever be the best driver in NASCAR history. Sure others have more wins but who else has been loved and hated by more fans than The Intimidator? He will forever be the measuring stick in which all others attempt to compare to.
Fucking A..........awesome song....Nascar and RIP #3 The Intimidator, Dale Earnhardt Senior........passed 17 cars in 4 laps to go...that is Senior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've played this song for a friend of mine, who happens to be a Jeff Gordon fan, many times. A great song no matter where you're from or who you like. I can't really watch NASCAR anymore with the rule changes and format changes every 2 hours. However, I found myself really pulling for Jeff Gordon to win one more championship this year. Too bad he didn't do it.
Axl Kix growing up in the 90s, I was always a Jeff Gordon fan. That being said, I always respected the Intimidator. One of my favorite things was seeing that black number 3 battling wheel to wheel with that rainbow 24. On February 18th 2001 racing lost an absolute legend.
This is why I think it’s a joke when people say Jimmies better. This isn’t the only time sr has done this and Jimmie hasn’t done it once. Godspeed Charlie! Say hello to Dale for us.
Dang man, that made my eyes burn😢
Miss them guys.
Where he hel have I been. I didn't know this somehow. I'm so sad. Rip Charlie
It doesn’t feel like it’s been 11 months since Charlie left us.
Lost my interest in Nascar the day this legend met his maker.
O
I agree with you thanks too charlie and damn sure dale live ever number 3 he's the best ever will be
Rest in peace Dale Earnhardt and Charlie Daniels. 2 legends that will never be forgotten.
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT...!!!
Yes the two were greats in NASCAR and Country music
Exact truth guys dale and charlie are gone but damn well along ways from being forgotten rest in peace
Dale Earnhardt came in his black stock car numbered three to pick up Charlie Daniels instead of waiting for that chariot to take him to Heaven.
That comment made my eyes leak a little bit.
Dale Earnhardt is racing in heaven by now the lords got quite the roster.
Ok charlie was riding in.style in that black 3
I was at the start finish line.... Never will forget that day...
We take way too much for granted...
Thanks for all the memories Nascar!
Now i go to Talladega with my sons an grandson... Building even more memories!
Dale loved Racing so much he took nascar with him on that last turn....
So true it took me a 2 weeks and then I quit watching
yup, i held on then until Gordon retired since he was my favorite but never went back to it. Just not exciting anymore
I agree 100,000,000% have't watched a race then.
I agree can’t stand the garbage on the track they now call nascar
No he didn't, you never actually liked the sport if you quit watching.
One North Carolina legend paying tribute to another.
I'm a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt and Charlie Daniels band
Same here!❤
Dale E will always be #1 in Nascar to me, followed very closely by my #2, Dale Jr. RIP Dale E and best wishes to you and your family Dale Jr. God bless ! Charlie Daniels did a bang up job of this song, love it. RIP Charlie !
Now Charlie Daniels is shaking hands with Dale Earnhardt standing next to a black stock car numbered 3. Rip to two of the greatest modern legends. 😎🤝🎸

We still feel that loss.

I'm die hard Dale Jr and Sr fan! Jesus Christ #1
Who was not alive when dale was alive but still thinks dale sr. is the best.
Watching his old races .. yeah no one could touch him one on one he was built to bring racing to the next step
Nascar just hasn't been the same.
Billy Perry No it has not.
+Billy Perry Your right there. I couldn't get myself to even watch a race for many years. I now watch now and then just to check up on Jr.
but thankfully it is a whole lot safer. sad to say his dying saved a whole bunch of drivers lives
Billy Perry nnn
And it will never be the same.
Back when NASCAR had a pair.
+thescbaron Aint that the truth.
Damn right Nascar isn't the same without the intimadator Dale Earnhardt senior
Then Brian France Took It
