      @@BELLACANVASOFFICIAL sure thing! I've been an avid fan of serigraphy for years and am hoping to have my own setup at home soon. I have everything except a flash dryer. You brought up an interesting point in the vid, about using discharge or water-based inks on 100% cotton shirts to compensate for absorption, etc.. Back in the day (high school and 1st year college) everyone I knew swore by Plastisol, telling me it was the best ink to use no matter what. Thanks to your tidbit of info I'll definitely shop around now, especially since I'll probably be using 100% cotton shirts most of the time.

    I just ordered my first test shirts to my house with my art, including bella canvas, hope I can make a store soon.

    How do you like printing on the Roq presses? We are on the fence and trying to decide between Roq and M&R right now. I’m hearing great things about the Roq and working with Ryonet has always been a great experience for us.

      The ROQ's are great. They are very intuitive to use (easy training), IF (and only if) something goes awry with the press, Ryonet and ROQ equip you with the tools to troubleshoot. No magician techs needed. For printing, they are excellent with water base as well as plastisol. The squeegees and flood bars are attached to the arm by a center pin, allowing for a natural balance over the screen. Another great thing? They are very quiet which makes for a better shop experience!

      Get neither, buy an MHM

      I would never run my business on roq. If you're in America, your best bet will always be M&R they make the most reliable press, best service, and its 2 day shipping from Chicago if you ever need a part. MR set the standard in the industry.. otherwise Id run MHM if you're in Europe.

      @@goldenstate3855 been running a ROQ for almost 2 years now. We got one right after I wrote this comment. It has worked great for us and kept up with all we’ve put it through. But thank you for your comment on a 2 year old thread

    Very informative video/information from Printed Threads. However, I think when I print/sell shirts I will do a %(maybe 50%) of the total order in a heavier cotton shirt. Belle Canvas(and other soft options) are nice (and probably preferable by the females and thinner folks)...but I think the males (especially in the colder climates) and those that weigh more(XXL and up) will probably prefer me to sell heavier cotton versions as well. Something to think about. Peace. ps: printing on 2 different shirts, might require 2 sets of screen and maybe 2 different inks? Not sure...will find out when I finally start ordering. :)

      Hey there! Thanks for your feedback! I'd recommend checking out our 3091 Men’s Heavyweight 5.5oz Crew Tee, 3010 Men’s Heavyweight Street Tee and our 3096U The Heavy 5.6oz Long Sleeve Tee! As far as sizing, we actually offer up to 4XL sizing! :)

    • @printedthreads
      @printedthreads 4 роки тому +1

      Consider printing on the 3091 for sure! As long as all shirts are 100% cotton, you have no need for additional screen sets or ink types. There is a possibility of needing an additional squeegee stroke on the heavyweight tee, but honestly, you would have to do a comparison to the other garment on your production floor to know for sure.
