I’m looking for a bag for my business papers….. man
Perfect for papers, business papers!
It's for your..... Papers? Your business...... Papers, man
Uhh... Papers...? Man's business papers... man?
1:32 to 1:48 is Pure Chase Reeves at his Absolute Finest!! Fucking Sound Effects are Solid Man!!
12.09 are you suggesting this would be a good place to put my uhhh ...... business papers ......man ?
12:12, them papers of business-ess 🤣
For notebooks I recommend the Midori MD notebooks (regular not cotton) or Code and Quill. Both open flat, great paper and have served me well. For pens the TWSBI eco. It has a large ink well, easy to write with and a great nib. Great work horse pen. Keep up the great work!
I'd highly recommend the hard Linen journal w/ plain paper from Shinola. I use the medium size because it fits perfect in the front pocket of my Bellroy transit workpack. It's really well made, the cover has a great look and feel, pocket in the back cover, & they offer free monogramming. Also, it's imported from Detroit for those of us that enjoy well made products from the USA. Shinola is a cool company that doesn't get much recognition.
For pens, I only use gel ink and have never found a high end gel pen that I like enough to buy. I've stuck with the Zebra sarasa dry gel and Pilot G2.
I've had the 31L for a while know and I love it. Then I got an older 21L. Love that too. The modularity is just fantastic.
Midori B6 Notebook is killer! Just the perfect size to fit in my back pocket if need be, but also just really comfy to hold and more spacious than using Field Notes
👍I've been using between the Vanquest Trident 32 and Evergoods CPL 28. Satisfied with both.
I like this channel so much, EVEN when I don’t have time to watch the video, I click on it long enough to click “like” so the algorithm geeks KEEP feeding me this *GOODNESS*
Ur papers…
Ur business papers…. Man….
🤣🤣🤣
Business papers 🤭
Happy to see vanquest bags for normal person edc ! 12:20 bullet proof panel ooorrrrr section for receipts
Was scrolling to see if anyone answered Chase’s questions about 12:05 body armor
I’ve used the Parker Jotter for years as my daily pen. I like that the ink cartridge is bigger and easily swappable. I prefer the blue gel ink cartridge in it.
@@antony_2484 I respectfully disagree. I think the stainless holds up great. the plastic barrel always felt cheap to me, scratches look terrible on it. Overall such a great pen.
Favorite notebook/pad for me is the Large Moleskine Cahier with squared or dot pages. Favorite pen (really cartridge) is the Pilot G2 0.38mm ❤
Love your vids always entertaining
business....... um...... papers?
If you ask me, I think that pocket is perfect for papers, business papers man !
Those lockable zips are super important if you commute with this bag on your back. I'm thinking of NYC subways and crowded elevators. I've personally had "roaming fingers" on the subway from people trying to figure out my S-biners locking my zips on my bag traveling into and out of NYC, before I spin around and catch their arm where it shouldn't be. It may seem superfluous, but it does help deter people who try to empty your bag's external pockets when you're not aware of it.
Nice review. Nice edc bag. Dude, you rock! Subbed!
Pilot G2 Limited is easily my favorite pen. I just use a standard dotted grid field notes pouch and a custom leather cover I bought on Etsy.
Midori notebooks are minimal and beautiful with some of the nicest paper I have enjoyed. I tend to use pencils or a Parker Jotter. Micron for color and fine-lining.
I enjoy the super thin and smooth paper of Tomoe River notebooks and my favorite pen is a Hombre x Kaweco AL Sport Gel Roller. The notebooks I have, and I can’t remember where I bought them from, do show the texture of the opposite side but that’s what I love about it. The Kaweco is just so smooth and I enjoy the feeling of twisting to open the pen and stacking the top to extend the length. Combo works for my simple list making.
I agree for the tomoe river papier. And for pens I like Ohto needle point, kaweco sport fountain Pen, uni signo, pilot V7 or V5 hi-tecpoint cartridge system… for my notebook I like very much Louisecarmen roadbook made leather.
I’d love to see the Studio Neat stuff for pens/notebooks. I love my Mark One and Panobook, even if I had to re-lube the mechanism in the Mark One since it got a bit gritty-feeling. Also curious to see how Bellroy’s offerings compete.
:)) 12:14 Papers! Hahaha Love your reviews man!
Notebooks: mostly Rhodia A5 ring-bound dotted pad. For pocketable notebook I often use index cards or I recycle envelopes. I haven't settled on a proper pocket notepad yet (or a reason for one)
Pens for notebooks: Uniball Uni-Pin fineliners (0.5 & 0.8mm) for good paper and a PaperMate Flair for everything else. I also carry a 0.9mm mechanical pencil (rugged even when dropped).
I’m all about the classic Moleskine Cahier notebooks, which are a good medium size for sketches as well as notes, made of good quality paper, and are relatively inexpensive if the plan is to keep filling them for years. For pens I like the Pilot Frixion line, which come in all kinds of ballpoint sizes and are fully erasable without making a mess. The ink is heat-erasable, so the eraser is actually a nub of silicone that warms up the paper through - you guessed it - friction
favourite ballpoint pen of all time: Caran d'Ache ECRIDOR in any design!!!! Pricey, but so worth it. I have never found any other ballpoint pen that feels so good to write with!
I really fell in love with the Sharpie brand pen. Not the marker pen you know. The pen pen. The clickable pen that's like legit just a black pen. I love it, it writes so smoothly and buttery. S-Glide or something like that? Sharpie Pen.
Papers... man...! I'm rocking the ToteBook from Studio Neat and a custom Retrakt pen from Karas Pen Co.
For me a fisher space pen and write in the rain hard cover note book . Works best for me as I a traveling Chef so kit needs to work well in many different climates and locations.
Love the Studio Neat Panobook for desk, Totebook for travel, and Mark One pen. Would love to see your take on these.
I use a RocketBook with a Pilot Frixion ball erasable pen.
It's basically like a portable white board. Any notes I want to keep can be sent to cloud storage using their app.
Favourite just everyday pens is the Pilot Frixion series, tons of colours, you can erase em and they write really nicely. But the real favourites are fountain pens. It's just such a better writing experience that there is just no going back to rollerball pens. The TWSBI Diamond 580 for example, just sublime and it has some heft too it so it feels good in the hand .
I also like the Pilot Frixion, which I discovered when one was included with a Rocketbook Everlast notebook. Did you know Pilot offers an erasable highlighter, as well? Crazy, man!
Pilot Vanishing Point is an amazing carry pen. Retractable fountain pen with buttery smooth writing.
For a inconspicuous EDC pen I would recommend the UNI-BALL Power Tank Ballpoint Pen. At a glance it looks similar to their run of the mill Signo line of pens. But with its pressurized ink cartridge the Power Tank can write almost anywhere, and it dries pretty quick too. If you need a pen to write on your papers... man, I would suggest the Zebra bLen. Killer design, subtle ergonomics, and techy hybrid ink make it a no brainer. On the notebook front I think any thing from Leuchtturm or Stalogy are a safe bet.
Hey Chase! Have you ever seen the eagle creek wayfinder crossbody bag? Got mine from REI on clearance for $9!
Long story short, it blends in, looks like a reg ol tourist crossbody bag, because I guess it is? closet to body is a passport pocket, next is a loop style compartment for ipad mini, this section is where I attach a velc holster, to hold a G43x when going to gym or hiking in lighter clothing that doesnt allow for on body carry. After that compartment its the main compartment, which I used to hold a anker charger, a 3to1 cable, extra mask, hand sanitizer, rechargeable headlamp and also rechargeable hand flashlight, pen, moleskine notebook, an esee 3, firestarter f rod from exotac, HD thick blk disp gloves, 3 sets, mx gloves, a small leatherman with pliers, replaced its 440 blade with a custom S30 one. I keep small travel cyls like those advil or tylenol ones, but are clear. I store ty, ibp, asp, alieve, beny, etc. lotion. key work and private phones on front pocket. On strap I have a darkangel med kit, and an extra tq. Just stuff I carry if off duty.
Can you suggest a crossbody bag, that isnt vertx, vanquest, 511, that make bags that COULD be used for ccw? I also have an alpaka bravo sling bag, their newer max one, rear compartment holds edc stuff, but its material also allows for a holster to attach, I use that for on the go when needed to OBC/off body carry.
I have been googling and looking at bags, but havent been able to find something that fits the bill, except this cheap eagle creek wayfinder hahaha. Kinda sad, but glad I bought 2 blacks, 1 grey, and online I bought a multi colored one. Trying to keep what works, until I can find something made with better material! That doesnt scream, hey I have defensive tools!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best pen: Lamy Safari Fine. Affordable German-made fountain pen that saved my wrists because of the ergonomic design. Perfect pen to write on your bidniz papers man.
Favorite notebooks are Leuchtturm1917 and I don't have a favorite pen, but I carry the Fisher Space pens for convenience and I like them well enough.
Pilot G2 Fine 0.7mm pens. It's been my pen for years. Nothing fancy, but still a great pen. Perfect for business papers.
I use the faber castell E-motion mechanical pencil with a small and large moleskine craft cover plain sketchbook.
G-2 Pilot .07 pens have always been my favorite
As far as notebooks go, I'm all in on paper planners :) And I use th Full Focus planner. I love that. I also use an erasable pen, Pilot Frixion.
My EDC bags I use is The North Face Recon and Peak Design Every Day 30L
Field Notes Notebook with a Tactile Turn pen using a uni jet stream refill
PAPERS - BUSINESS PAPERS MAN! Moleskine notebook medium size brilliant useable notebooks for everyday work looks great too, pen wise kaweco pen or pilot frixion
Paper Republic notebook and a Karas Kustoms Bolt pen are the TICKET for EDC!
12:11 business papers ¡¡¡
no pouches?! what did you do to our boi chase?! 😹 i dig the reporter style fieldnotes journal. love the form factor and makes ya feel like a vintage detective. i have a big idea design mini pen for the pocketablility factor.
Most reliable cheap pen - Pilot Zebra Blen (I hate it when the refills move within the pen barrel and these have the best balance)
Caran Dache 849 but with refills swapped to Pilot acroink refill
Fountain pen for EDC vibes - Stilform fountain pen in titanium (both nib and barrel) it has a magnetic cap and is sticking all the boxes.
Notebooks I use Plotter binders from Japan (they have a US store now)
Bit late to the game, but journal daily for 1/hr for 10yrs, have traveled the world in search of the perfect pen and notebook. Lamy steel tip or TWSBI, Japanese carbon ink, and Leuchtturm 1917. Smooth as butter. Affordable but sophisticated. Peep goulet pens for the chase of pen world.
Epic overview chase! I bet you can fit a little more in there though!!
Favorite pen currently is a Sharpie S-Gel 1.0
Pens...it depends. Disposable go with Pilot G2, frixion, V5-7, Pentel Energel, or a Bic Ballpoint. Refillable pens go with anything that takes a Parker refill - they're easy to find. I'm a Parker Jotter, Retro 51 (with a Parker refill) and a Cross fan (forgive me I'm bougie). Notebooks - if you're going to buy something more expensive it depends on the pen. Moleskine are lovely but only with ballpoint ink and pencil. Leuchtturm1917 and Rhodia are a bit of a step up in terms of paper quality.
Just to follow-up, in one of your videos, Chase, you said it's nice to have good versions of the essentials. I agree. Writing by hand is a big part of my workflow but one thing I've learned over the years is that once you enter the slippery slope of stationery, things aren't always consistently available. This is why I suggested the stuff I did in the post above. You can get any of this at Staples. The essentials are nicer when they're easily and consistently accessible, in my opinion.
get foam tips for your airpods or try the beats fit pro. i work out with them and have no issues
I love the Moo notebooks. They lay flat
So pen and notebook, eh? I have supported several of German pen maker stilform’s campaigns on Kickstarter, the latest and greatest being for the matte Titan(ium) ballpoint pen with custom Schmidt ink cartridge & magnetic mechanism. I like it! As for a non-“smart” notebook, it is certainly hard to beat the Moleskine Classic in its many variations. I carry an 18-month (July 1 through Dec. 31 of the following year), pocket-sized, weekly Classic Planner with me everywhere I go.
Tactile turn slide click pen and MARK two pen from Studio neat.
Pens… You really can’t go wrong with the Pentel Energel. It’s the best day to day writer I’ve ever had. I just buy a box of 12 refills and refill the body until it gives out. This way I’m not having to buy and dispose of the pens that often. Notebooks. Field Notes and Baron Fig all day. Tried everything, but those are the two best in my opinion. If I get real fancy with pens, the Lamy 2000 both the Fountain Pen and Rollerball is my go to. I just throw one of the Pentel energel refills in the rollerball one and put a little spring from a ballpoint pen in the case so that it fits haha. I love the Studio Neat Mark one, but hate rollerball refills. If i could figure out a way to hack that, I’d be using that daily.
I kept a bullet journal and loved this pen but I couldn't use it because it bled through the pages of my Moleskine. I really want to find the right notebook for this pen.
Field Notes with Bolt Action from Tactile Turn.
Love those ASYSTEM gummies!
Love you man!
Love my notebook from Nomatic!
Books : baron fig/ leuchtturm/ field notes/ rhodia
Pen : Pentel energel
You definitely should look at lochby if your going to talk about notebooks. Beautiful waxed canvas and metal hooks etc
papers, man. business....papers.
My favorite pen is the Zebra F-701.
Hello! Would you choose the Vanquest Trident 21 over the Evergoods CPL24 V2? I hesitate between the two… I am looking for an EDC backpack (work, gym, camera, walking, etc).
Thank you!
Best pen - Uni-ball Jetstream RT 0.7mm. Somehow makes it look like I can write neatly...
12:11
Papeles de negocios
Hombre,
Papeles de negocios
Bussinesss papers, man
MUJI lay flat notebooks w/paper cover + ****ROTRING 600**** (treat yo self)
Business papers!!!!!!!!!
Your business papers man !!
Papers, business papers, man!
For a backpack to use daily bike commuting to work, occasionally traveling for a night, and minimal camera stuff (like one mirrorless + prime). Would you go with this, vanquest addax 25, aer City pack pro, or even potentially wandrd prvk. What would you pick? Feeling like this one might be a bit rigid for riding a bike.
Update, I think I've settled on evergoods cpl24
fav pen? easy. For writing, the Muji 0.5 mm. with erasable ink. For drawing? The Kuretake Brush pen.
Business papers man!!!!!!!!!
Check out Wingback pens and pencils
The Japanese make the best pens ever. Pentel Energel, Sarasa Clip, Pilot G2, Uniball Jetstream, Platinum Preppy, and I have a whole array of Uniball Signos in a variety of colors.
12:04 Your BUSINESS PAPERS!.... Some business papers man.
Do you think the new 16inch M1 Max MacBook pro would fit this bag?
If I was to summarise this video: "Here's a noticable thing about this bag, lets talk about that in a minute though"
simply and compact space pen
Bullet journal
Does anyone know what that green bag in the background is?
Will this fit under the seat of most airlines?
Uh...papers, um, just papers, uh, you know, uh, my papers...business papers.
M'Business Papers!
Next. Review vanquest dendrite large .. plesss....
Papers....business papers...man.
Fisher space pen. But not the small one.
This isn't particularly sexy or exotic, but the Pilot G2 LImited with the metal barrel is my daily pen. I use it every single day and love the feel of the pen. hefty but not too heavy, great balance. The weak point is the actual ink on the inside. A lot of people love the G2 ink out of the package, I call mine a sleeper because much like an old shitty car that has a Brand new Corvette engine under the hood, I put the Mont Blanc Refills in my G2 LImited and undercover feel like a boss.
I do the same thing! The ink is so bold and rich too!
Pens and notebooks!!!
Papers!!!
Where gun, Chase? WHERE GUN?
As a fellow Texan I must know too.
{flexes bicep 💪}
Zebra Sarasa Clip is the best pen ever made.
