They TAUGHT that people of a certain generation would not grow old in this system. I was told this system wouldn't last long enough for me to graduate high school. My parents both passed away and I'm a grandmother! The organization DID in fact teach that!
INFORMATION CONTROL: •Withhold, fabricate, or distort information, possibly even rewriting history in their favor (Lying, Censorship, Misquoting, Revisionist History, etc.). •Reframing: Twist or erase words, concepts, and definitions to suit the group’s favor. •Narrow-mindedness: Ban debate, criticism, research from non-group sources, & speaking with former members/critics. •Isolate/separate members from the outside world & “worldly” people. •Punish disagreement & disbelief/Silence discontent & “unfavorable” opinions from members. •Label any & all negative information about the group as “lies”. •Anti-intellectualism: Discourage pursuit of higher education & complex careers. •Divide information between Insider vs. Outsider doctrines: Hide controversial group info from the public & recent recruits. •Propaganda: Only focus on the positive aspects of the group while demonizing non-members & opposing groups. •Use information gained in confession sessions against you. •Require you to report thoughts, feelings, & activities to superiors. •Encourage you to spy & report on others “misconduct” to better maintain control.
Tell any Jehovah Witness the amount of times the organization predicted armageddeon. They did it ALOT back in the day, over 30 TIMES! "NO man know the day or the hour!"
SO accurate. I remember going to the movies as a kid in the 90s and watching trailers for upcoming movies and thinking 'oh, well, the end will be here before this comes out.' EVER AFTER-- I shit you not--I legit thought would be the last movie I'd ever see in a theater.
I lived it! I graduated early from high school at 17 because the "end was coming in 1975". I got all hyped up about pioneering. My heart was not in it. I am SO glad that I've been out of it for over 30 years now.
Why are the sheep laughing after being told that they were being lied too? Gullible vulnerable people, sold their Homes, Businesses and gave the money to the Watchtower, how is this funny?
You are spot on about 1975. I started associating in 1973 and 1975 was emphasized in publications, from the platform at the KH and in circuit and district assemblies. I'm looking back at what they're saying now in amazement that they're gaslighting the younger generation they way they are about their history. I would have a question for old Tony Morris "if you had told the elders in 1974 that you don't believe their 1975 predictions would you be living free of worry drinking $100 per bottle Scotch?" If he had expressed any doubt about 1975 they'd have hauled his butt down to the KH library for a talking to faster than he could object to tight pants.
This is shocking....to make fun of the people that gave up all. They worked hard in the door to door work. And now they are laughed at. Maybe Jehovah' will for give you. This is unacceptable.
@@delbertwills9322 I, and thousands of others, agree that it’s unacceptable! So why is this major POS (and the rest of the gb) still walking around enjoying life?! @@GordonRebel Well I and my wife saved everyone the trouble by quietly fading, walking away, or whatever it’s called. I had heard that many jws were of the opinion that this walking away was considered as having DF’d oneself, probably with the same implications as being officially so.. There were a lot of inconsistencies in this cult as far as interpretations of doctrine and “rules”. We’re well out and without the need for any therapy or other interventions… My wife is more detached from it, but I still shake my head at what I freely chose to still believe as an adult for some years…
I was going on my school trip to Switzerland in 1975 and I was so worried that if Armageddon came I wouldn’t get home and I’d die over there. I still went. It was all I had to look forward to. There wasn’t much to look forward to as a JW kid. A dreadful way to grow up.
You are absolutely right. What may seem to people outside the organization as humorous nonsense in these failed predictions, is really evil manipulation and exploitation.
I was just going to say- from what I have heard , there were JWs who sold off everything they had, maxxed out Credit cards, etc. They believed in the 1975 Armageddon paranoia, and it literally cost them everything. I don't think that they would find Tony Morris's words very funny
Sounds like Tony is admitting that while he was lying to all our kids publicly, he told his kids the truth in private. Sinister, he knew what he was doing all along.
Well, there's a really good chance that my life could have been drastically different (as in "better") if someone "in the know" had told me what AntMo told his kids.
My widowed mother joined the religion because she was told by a circuit overseer her children wouldn't be able to graduate from university before Armageddon came. That was in 1970. She wanted to be reunited with my father. She never remarried So sad. She met someone else. The elders wouldn't baptise him as they said he only joined the religion to marry my mum. I don't like to swear, but how dare they!
@@davidclover2248 they really are absolutely disgusting the way that they control and abuse people, splitting up families and destroying lives. They need to be shut down, nothing but an Evil controlling child abusing Cult!

I officially disassociated back in December and I feel 1) free to do whatever my destiny is led me to believe and 2) most importantly, I feel like not better than the average JW but rather a good person instead of 8 dudes in NY telling me how to be a good person. I’m sadden that I lost friends I grew up with, they will always be in my heart and it’s a lonely road ahead but it’s worth the sacrifice for being a good person in life
Same here bro. I've found some great ex jw friends, ironically this makes a special connection and many stuff to talk about. if you need man I'm here for you bro. Not sure were you live, but you got a friend either online or in the UK, but I really know the feel and also keep in my heart those friendships I lost... it's not their fault but time to look ahead.
See the funny thing is, where they tell you your ‚spiritual family‘ is better than any friend you could ever make in the world, they’re talking absolute nonsense. You’ll meet some brilliant people as long as you know who to avoid, and those new friends won’t be shitting themselves telling you that you’re going to be exterminated if your beard gets a bit too long.
Dear Brother and Friend, it’s Amazone what you say😔. But by me, i feeling the same. I am 72 years old and was 40 years elder. (I got it away 2019) Now i am a PiMO. My Wife is 120 percent in (Pimi). I have a Long way Before me…But you give me Power for this way, thanks!!
I was 12 years old 1975. And I'd like to go baptized but my mother wont let me and I still remember that I was very angry and said to my mother that it is then her fault if I die in Armageddon! And my mother said to me that Armageddon is not coming this year. And she was right ❤️
The organization has learned its lesson after so many failed predictions, especially 1975, so now they will only say to "keep on the watch" and that "the end is coming". They now sound like politicians who try to rewrite history (removing old online literature), deny any fault (blaming the believers), and gaslight their followers (just listen to the laughter in the audience during Tony's talk). I was a young Witness adult during the 1975 era, and I can remember my sense of dread, wondering and hoping that when the time came that I'd be good enough to make it. So many decades wasted, so many life opportunities lost because I stayed in the organization for more than half a lifetime. But hey, as long as Tony's having a good time, that's all the matters.
Grayton W. The tactics that Watchtower Org(and all other Cults) uses, are the same ones that get used by all Narcissists. If anyone were to research "Narcissists" or "Narcissistic Abuse/Codependency"; You'd see those very same scenarios and tactics.🤦♀️🤦♂️💔
I am 51 years old, and was held back from kindergarten so I wouldn't be in school when the end came. My folks were devoted JW'S and always told me I wouldn't have kids etc. Needless to say my 4 sons are probably proof that they were wrong....
My father bought into the 1975 BS and sold the family home because the end of the system was around the corner. If he would hung on to the family home till he retired or when he got to a point he couldn't look after it, he could have lived comfortably for the rest of his life on what it was worth at that point in time.
He is mocking the tru believers, using our sincerity and deep believe in the Holy Scriptures to make us feel ridiculous and stupid. But I also believe that Crist has the power to exposing all the lies ,and HE is exposing beautifully. I remember ,I went thru all this. And I,m not a lier. This is a huge responsability before Almighty God,s and our king Crist Jesus.
Maybe it was post 1975. What a liar, he knows exactly what year everyone was talking about. I was born 2 years later but even in the early 80s everyone knew about 1975 🤦🏻♂️ drunk Tony
In 1975 my wife and I had our second child. We were criticized and condemned by many in the congregation even though I was an elder. The folks sold their house and a cabin figuring Armageddon was coming. They took a tour of Bethel and donated a lot to the society. They became destitute, living on rice and beans until they could make a so-called recovery. Their current house is willed to the society. I had just bought a house in 75 and another in 1980. Since none of the organizations prophecies has seen reality, I myself decided to bail out. Too many promises and no fulfillment. Forty seven years later and 75 is a distant memory.
A couple years ago, my Mom wanted to donate the family property. I was like NO WAY!! I hadn't completely woken up but was beginning the process. I talked her out of it and took control. Now the family will benefit as it's worth quite a bit.
We had four, one son before we became JW's, and three daughters, one in 1975 one in 1977 and the youngest in 1985. The entire family except for the one born in 1977 have left.
That message was pushed and pushed not only from publications but also conventions, weekly talks in the local hall, personal study with parents, during most conversations - that message resonated throughout all layers of JW life. “You’ll never finish school, not worth having a career etc” I’m mid 40 now.
@@thefourgrapples2810 Same here. I heard the same baloney non-stop when I was associated in the 1980's. They illustrated it by talking about a young man painting a ship that was sinking. That's how stupid it was to go to college if the system of things was going to end in 1975. I'm 64 now, un-educated, and the end has not come 47 years later.

They can’t admit they’re wrong because being a JW is a part of their identity. If they were to admit it, then what would that mean for who they think they are? They don’t think they are dishonest. They don’t think they are lying. They don’t think they are like every other person in the world. They think they are good. And a good person, in their mind, is not wrong.
LearningEveryday. They will never ever connect to others or admit to being wrong; Because, They are Narcissists. Narcissists have inflated egos and need to control their perceived images. To admit to mistakes and false information spreading, would mean they would end up, "not special/priviledged" and not "in control of others(mentally and physically"). That would be Unthinkable and Unacceptable. Tony M being nothing more than a Narcissistic,Mysogynistic, Fallable,Uninspired Alcoholic...is not the "Legacy" or Image he wants the "World" to see.
Exactly. Since they are “Jehovah’s channel”, admitting they are wrong is like saying Jehovah is wrong…and we know that will never happen. They have to hold up the facade, otherwise their house of cards will come crashing down.
I grew up through all the hype, alot of j.w.'s we knew sold off their possessions then....nothing happened. They are now releasing their old talk " Is it closer than you think?
They simply know that information about '75 resurfaced and what they do now is shifting blame and responsibility away from the organization and onto the members who got 'overly excited and misunderstood things' at that time.
I,m from the mid seventhys, I remember all the influence about that year. And by not admitting that they have no right to add or subtract information regarding the scriptures... Makes Tony Morris a person that I can't trust.... Just continue to read the Gospel ...Crist is not a lier we can absolutely trust about his second coming. To do what ??? Big clean up in on the way......
I still have an old silk screened t-shirt from that era, that reads: "Will you survive till 75". I should make a new one that reads: Due to a lack of experienced trumpeteers, (and Covid related illness), Armageddon has now been postponed, until a future date.
On top of everything else, he then has the outrages audacity to basically say in other words that these ones were guilty to think this way. WTH! !! They were guilty for believing what they were told.? You can’t win with these idiots, if they didn’t buy it, they would have been regarded as ones of little faith and weak. This is simply --SICK! And it STINKS to high heaven. I’m am so incredibly ashamed of ever being called a JW.
This is mind numbingly painful to watch Lloyd. I normally joke a lot on here because there is truth in humour but so many have been destroyed by their rhetoric. Thanks for dissecting the deceitful manipulation.
My brother's family are all JWs. In 1974 I remember my nephew, at the tender age of 4 or 5, sitting on my knee and saying "I'll never forget you uncle. I'll always remember you, whatever happens" . Very emotional for a toddler At the time I wondered what he was talking about. Did he know something I didn't know? Later I realised it was because he thought the end was coming the following year!.Poor kid.
There is no way that anyone can tell me that Witnesses around 1975 thought that this old system would still be here in 2022. No freaking way. Freddie even wrote that watchtower "why are you looking forward to 1975?" and jw apologists want to say "see, they're saying not to look forward to 1975".. ffs. It literally set the chronology and its only caveat was 'we don't know when Eve was created, if we did then we'd know when the 7th day started." This whole strategy of Morris and Herd joking about how old they are and how long they've been waiting is interesting.. in the old days it was never a matter for joking, it was life or death! They still do the life or death thing too, blowing out matches on stage.. it's just the theatrics are stepped up. They actually think they're celebrities now, more popular than tv stars.
The Armageddon hysteria is still here but in another form now. Witnesses have been advised to pack an emergency bag of items to be taken with them and used, when it all kicks off. OMG!!!!!

I was basically born in and forced to be baptised at 12 years of age in 1975 "just in case". I remember clearly the fear mongering that was around at that time. It seems different areas had different experiences / attitudes, but where i was, this was it. The sister who studied with my mom told her that I would never finish school. I have met quite a few JWs who have been scarred by being faithful to the WT over this. One family i knew well, had a daughter my age. Dad quit his job, sold the house, took her out of school and moved to where the need was greater in 1974. In 1976 they came back - broke and red faced and had (I was going to say to 'pick up the peices' but they didnt leave any peices!. ) to start agaIn. There are countless folks who have been deeply impacted by the teachings around that year 1975 .
Questions from our readers: What would happen if at an International Convention, someone walks up calmly to a GB member to shake their hand, but instead delivers the most amazing heavy handed slap of all time, then says "This is for all the lost children." Would Jehovah strike one immediately? Would one get tackled by attendants? Would GB members start needing Secret Service detail whenever they visit your city? I'm asking for a friend.
To be clear, I'm not endorsing violence, Jehovah hates violence . . . . . . . But he loves using it. Same principle. After all, Godly principles always triumph common sense.
@@lauragubala8313 According to Satan's system it is violence, but in Jehovah's organization we follow Biblical principles and this is not violence, as long as you are doing it in the name of Jehovah. Phinehas and Zimri, they'll confirm.

I came into a the witness in the mid 80’s. When the 75 question came up I remember my bible study conductor saying that some witnesses got excited about it but not the organisation. I thought nothing of it at the time because obviously when your not around then, you take their word for it. Luckily for me I woke up and after 7 years left. That’s over 30 years ago now best choice I ever made.
Dee Asztalos, ditto! My parents came along in the late 60's when I was 10 or 11. My father left the forces early and lost his golden handshake and pension as a result. I and my sister were actively discouraged from any further education or consideration of a career. So I left school at barely 16 in '73, the day my mother died. What an utter waste. The GB heavily encouraged everyone to give up all material hopes and get out there to 'drum up trade'. And now the scotch addled ignoramus jokes about it all, ignoring the destitution of tens of thousands while he lives the good life. Shame on him and his arrogant cohorts, not that he would ever recognise shame.
I wasn’t raised JW but I was raised as a Pentecostal Christian. I was taught that the end was near at any time. If Jesus wasn’t to come back before the tribulation then I’d have to suffer through the apocalypse. I was raised with that fear in me all the time that I wouldn’t live to see adulthood. It blows my mind that our parents wanted to have children, just to let the children grow up believing their lives could soon end at any moment of any day.
You know those bowls of moulded plastic fruit seen in Homeware stores? This is the sort of 'spiritual food' that the GB feeds us with. You can't eat it but it always looks shiny and fresh.

What is up with the discoloration on his face? I can watch this video over and over, it never gets old. What a hypocritical human. I feel bad for all the past and present victims of this organization, myself included.
Back in the early 70’s it was no joke. The WT as well as the elders had everybody scared to death. Stupid statements and stupid actions abounded. There was growth in the organization so sure, but it was based on hysteria and not sound reasoning. People were so wrapped up in this that they would not accept reasoning. I am convinced that WT has recently tried to revive that hysteria. Thank goodness for the internet where you could do some research and get help.
Oh the memories! I limped thru high school graduating in 1976 .. thinking/believing “any day now”. Lloyd- thank YOU & I hope you are taking all the time you may need!
Sunken cost fallacy. They've wasted 50+ years and have to keep convincing themselves that it's still worth it as they feel they have nowhere else to go now.
Tony Morris inadvertantly admitted to not believing in the truth. At the time he told his children the end may not come before 2020, the witnesses still were teaching that the generation who saw 1914 would by no means pass away untill the end of the system of things. I would be so hurt by his words if I was an older person in that audience and made to feel stupid or like I was sinning against the holy spirit for telling young ones they would not graduate or grow old and die. I am 46 years old now and heard that throughout my whole childhood from my father who has been an elder since the late 60s and my mother who has professed to be of the annointed since the early 70s. I find his mocking and berating the older brothers and sisters of the org to be shamefull and disgusting. He basically called all the pre 1975 witnesses idiots for believing in the truth. PUTRID!!.. And also a bit funny in a dry purple triangle kind of way. be sure to wear your pax pin. Forgive me if you havent the slightest idea of what im talking about.
I hope my mother hears this when they're "allowed" to watch this program. Also, many JW's who joined in the 1980's didn't even know about the "Stay alive in '75" stuff. I know because when they'd come to my house and question why I left (heaven forbid!!) I told them why, and about the whole 1975 thing. They told me they never heard of that!!! I hope those sisters hear that talk, too. My youth was stolen due to that bs. To hear that idiot laugh about that time now really makes me angry. So was he being an apostate back then??? He's got some nerve. I sure hope my mother wakes up and is as insulted as I am when she hears his mocking little chit-chat about 1975. It was a terrifying time to be a teenager or a parent back then, and he's freaking laughing about it
I haven’t been part of this organization since the early 1980s but I was born a third generation JW with family members who were pioneers, Bethelites, and elders. First of all, Tony can’t remember if this incident occurred post or pre 1975, but he remembers what grade his sons were in and remembers that he said this system could go on until 2020? What BS. My grandparents were convinced they would make it to the new world without dying. Millions now living will never die was proclaimed everywhere. I remember people deciding not to get married, not to have kids, not to buy a home. What was the point? 1975 was coming. I remember worrying that I might not ever get married or have kids because there was some uncertainty about what would happen post Armageddon. And what about make up and my hair? These are the things I worried about as a teenage girl counting the days until 1975. The belief was very real. I lived it.
I’m another one who was forced to leave school early in the late 60s because Armageddon was coming in 1975! His joking about it has left me seething and so sad. What an old hypocrite
All I can say is WOW. That was what I was told as a kid and my father was strictly against me going to college when I graduated in the mid 80s. So I didn’t. Thankfully I was able to get a “decent” job. But what I may have had will never be known. And he blames the sheep 🐑 who were following the word from the platform. SMH. I’m glad I got kicked out. My father is still in. In his 80s now. It’s so sad to see that kind of loyalty for the so call blind. And he will never see this. SMH how these men can live with themselves. Wonder if they really think they are going to heaven with all of the misleading they have done. God help them, if they really believe in God. Lloyd this hit home so hard. Thank you so very much for this video. Thank you also for having those old publications. I hope everything works out for you!!!!
They like to make fun of the ones who left after 1975 came and went, calling such ones goats and sneering at them for “serving for a date”. Watchtower always has an answer for their failures and thought nothing of labelling their predictions of 1975 as nothing more than rank and file gossip spread about by overzealous JWs. I’ve run into this even today when talking with some witness people I know. They have no idea what went on in those days or how Watchtower printed many articles from the mid 1960’s onward explaining that 1975 was the end of this system of things. Talks were given about it. But now witnesses have collective amnesia about those days. Just one more piece of evidence this is a bogus cult and a complete fraud!
I remember so clearly a conversation with my JW SIL. It was 1982 I was just making small talk about her little girls and wondering what life was going to be like when they grew up and got married etc. I was a newlywed at the time. Instantly the JW in her kicked on. And she began to tell me they didn't believe that was going to ever happen. The end was near etc. She was just very sure and confident. Those girls are grown and married, one has a child. I sometimes wonder if she remembers the conversation.
No, they have never admitted being wrong! The 1975 debacle impacted so many JW’s lives and Watchtower has gotten so many complaints about this failed prophecy they’re gaslighting the rank and file witness to accept blame for ever believing this ridiculous prophecy.
MY parents sold their home in 1974 so we could move closer to my grandparents in preparation for the big A, they never recovered financially. My mum is 85 now and still waiting and this evil spirited piece of crap keeps on with the BS.
How much whiskey has Morris had this time? - He looks and acts rather tipsy, he's desperately trying - most of the time fairly successfully - not to slur his words.. Come on Tony - everyone likes a drink; but nobody likes a drunk.
It is so brazenly obvious that he is trying to make light of the situation, like it’s no big deal and then blame the rank and file. I shouldn’t had dinner before watching this disgusting disgrace.😱😡🤬🤢🤮
How about childless couples? I faded out many years ago, but I know of so many couples in my age group that are childless because they’re waiting for the new system. Pretty soon they will be past their days of fertility. Just to think they will come to the end of their lives still imperfect in this system, and still childless. Sad.
"You gotta keep on the watch. This thing could go on, and be ready for this to go on to 2020. Honest, this thing -we're talking almost 40 years. I FELT PRETTY SAFE WITH THAT." Tony was admitting that he felt that 'this system' would not last another 40 years beyond the conversation that he had with his sons that night. At that time Tony honestly believed in the doctrine that Armageddon would come, even though he had just experienced disappointment in that it had not come already as the doctrine previously held. What we see here is an ironic admission of cognitive dissonance at work without him even knowing it. He even has a Freudian slip and opens this story by stating that he "has a confession to make". This makes what he says and believes even more dangerous as he willing to overlook clear evidence that his belief system is flawed
my dad came into the JW religion right before 1975 along with my mom. my dad was baptized in 1974. i was just a little guy then but i remember him getting baptized at an assembly. when 1975 came around my aunt told him and my mom that i and my sister would never go to school in this system. well, 45 years later and my dad is still waiting and I graduated college and have a career and my own house. Good thing I escaped. it took me years to leave but left approx 12-13 years ago and my life is literally 100 times better. my dad is still waiting...
So much has been said about how the Org didn’t REALLY peg 1975 as the day of days, that what WAS said was over hyped and taken too far in the minds of many in the rank and file. As others have commented here, I too was there and beg to differ. The Org was more than happy to let that one get traction. Which begs a couple of questions. 1) Why? Could it be that it was a great recruiting tool? As I recall the excitement was palpable and that certainly had something to do with our ‘zeal’. 2) Is what happened leading up to 1975 so different than ‘we are undoubtedly living in the final part of the final part of the last days’? Watchtower has always hitched their horse to the ‘end times’ while also preaching not to serve God with a date in mind. For those who like a timeline, who enjoy viewing their social responsibilities like someone with a dead car views their car payments, this is good stuff. For many of the rest of us it becomes a question of whether we should cut our losses and move on.
First of all.....I guess he couldn't do the math ...as he couldn't figure out what year it was then his kids were in second grade. Item 2: This is the most disgusting video I have ever watched. You are correct, Lloyd...he is sneering at and mocking the "loyal and obedient" brothers (or the ones trying to be). I lived through all of that....and really, after all of these years I do not have (much of) a problem with what went on back then. However, I have a bigger problem with this goon making fun of the ones that did believe and were trying to be obedient to Jehovah and comply with WTBTS. I don't know what people find so funny and entertaining about this sarcastic goon. I guess my problem was (along with Mark Martin, Eric and yourself) that we took being a JW pretty seriously, and didn't want to disappoint Jehovah.

There were a lot of inconsistencies in this cult as far as interpretations of doctrine and “rules”. We’re well out and without the need for any therapy or other interventions…

That was not a JOKE to those of us that believed the 'society' had our interest in view. This is not stupidity but just evil.

Even though vI have been out of this religion for 15 years I am still completely shocked to hear Tony rewrite history in such a blatant and shameless way! I wonder if there is a special circle in hell for these people
Millions now living will NEVER die! Remember that one?! I’m 50 now. The 75 yr olds spewing that bilge at the time have long since met their fate.
was that the 1914 generation? those people would be 108 yrs old this year and many have died
I remember that Awake in 1984.
I was 7 and Aunt would bug the hell out of mom ( her sister ) to start studying.
Well persistence paid off and my mom dragged me in at 19 in February 1996 against my will.
Going on February 2022 and I'm about to turn 45 !!!!! I was told the end was beating down the door in the mid 90's.
I've been done since 2006, but officially left and faded in 2012.
My mom is about to turn 72. Older. Retired. No paradise, but she and my aunt are hanging on.
My Aunt has severe dementia and I think my mom knows she screwed up, but will never admit it sadly.....
@@Pursuepeace0715 I left in 1991 at 19, I remember that statement from the 1970/80s so that definitely may be, and several adjustments since as I’m told … they’re in a position of constantly moving their prophecy goalposts, sanitizing their history, and counting on newer members not intimately familiar with these pronouncements to carry the day.
@@kire115 i grew up in it but never got baptized left home at 20. I had a grandma (raised by her when my parents divorced) My, auntie (grandma sister) and two uncles (dad's brothers grandma sons)They are now deceased and my remaining uncle was disfellowshipped for adultery but still married to his JW wife and their daughter are wirnesses. My dad is not baptized but practices their religion. he couldn't get baptized because he was a security and carried a gun so that is the reason they told him he could not get baptized
@@kire115 I remember being 10yrs old and hearing about Jim Jones and the people's temple and that made me become leary of organized religion. the 1914 and the fall of Jerusalem 587 not 607 like they claim are the two things that let me know this isn't the truth. Now I saw they have a new "explanation for 1914" as overlapping generation. which doesn't make any sense.
Wow! TMJ is aging rapidly right before our eyes. He can barely string complete sentences together without gasping for breath or changing his thought direction totally. Pretty sad that any human views what he has to say as worthy of listening to
This video by Lloyd and the resulting reader comments are spot on! My mother dragged us into the "truth" in 1974 when I was 14. I distinctly remember all of the hullabaloo around the supposed "end of this system of things." Tony Morris' smarmy anecdote is absolutely infuriating. Truly shameful.
My parents were young and beautiful in the 70's and 80's when the "end was near!"
They're now old and the end is still "near!"
Soon they'll be on their death beds "It was all a lie" is probably the last thought that will cross their mind.
Lloyd thanks for all your hard work bless you
That's what the governing body member's preached. The end was coming in 75. What a hypocrite Tony Morris is.
He's a goon.
My secret desire was to be an attorney, but a) we don’t have a place in judging this wicked system, & b) especially not since I am female! Well, I didn’t go to college, but my son did! & now I have grandkids FINISHING high school- looking at college! I can finally agree with some of GB’s words: “you DIDN’T help anybody” !!
Lloyd- thank YOU & I hope you are taking all the time you may need!
Great Lloyd, I'm going to use this Awake against the elders in my congregation. Thanks
Sunken cost fallacy. They've wasted 50+ years and have to keep convincing themselves that it's still worth it as they feel they have nowhere else to go now.
riding around his heavenly horse with a 6 pack and a bottle of fine malt whiskey
Great job Lloyd. Every thing you said is true. Thank you.
It wasn't just some people saying it ... The Watchtower Organization said it in the Awake magazine.
It was a terrifying time to be a teenager or a parent back then, and he's freaking laughing about it
Amen
@@patriciaavenmarg5927 just get a few bottles of holy spirits and we can all think up new direction, lol.
@@lelandshanks4759 Maybe we can party with Tony!!! (Ugggghhhh, I'd need a double shot just to get started)
MISS you Lloyd. Hope your having a lovely break. You so deserve it. HAPPY new year too
I haven’t been part of this organization since the early 1980s but I was born a third generation JW with family members who were pioneers, Bethelites, and elders. I lived it.
I think the stay alive to 75 was referring to 2075😜
Overlapping generations. I could say LOL, but that's not funny. That's upsetting.
I’m another one who was forced to leave school early in the late 60s because Armageddon was coming in 1975! His joking about it has left me seething and so sad. What an old hypocrite
Thank you for "telling it like it is Lloyd"! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Maybe I urinated, all over the sidewalk as I was stinking drunk... or maybe I urinated on my neighbors car...I don't know!!!
The only joke here is how the organization blames the followers that believed so hard and left after being disillusioned.
Excellent work my friend. Your use of reason exceeds far beyond your upbringing.
This one was a real pleasure to watch. Thank you!
She has probably moved on to the next conspiracy. My folks have ... Whatever their charismatic leader/group tells them is what they believe.
holy crap…. did he just acknowledge that they’ve been wrong??
No of course... They never admit ,they prefer to make the tru believers feel stupid...no worries Crist is exposing the lies and arrogance.
It's scary to believe that these men believe the insanity that comes from their mouths.
Sad.
I don't believe he ever said any such a thing, could go till 2020 bs
Of course not.
Used car sales men will say anything to make a sell
"You gotta keep on the watch. This thing could go on, and be ready for this to go on to 2020. Honest, this thing -we're talking almost 40 years. I FELT PRETTY SAFE WITH THAT."
Tony was admitting that he felt that 'this system' would not last another 40 years beyond the conversation that he had with his sons that night.
……..This bloated fool…. Well done Lloyd, you no longer pull any punches. What else could you call them… Shysters? From the German : Scheisser….
my dad came into the JW religion right before 1975 along with my mom. my dad was baptized in 1974. i was just a little guy then but i remember him getting baptized at an assembly. when 1975 came around my aunt told him and my mom that i and my sister would never go to school in this system. well, 45 years later and my dad is still waiting and I graduated college and have a career and my own house. Good thing I escaped. it took me years to leave but left approx 12-13 years ago and my life is literally 100 times better. my dad is still waiting...
That was great, Lloyd. I trust that you are doing well and will soon be back producing more videos.
Trevor
@Christopher Maddux, I vote for cut your loses and move on!
It's actually WTBTSBS 😁
Maybe it was a " Penthouse".... Maybe it was a" Hustler" magazine...I don't know!!
Maybe I was totally smashed on rot gut whiskey.... maybe it was Jack Daniels, as I stumbled, stinking drunk.. into the sliding glass door, smashing it to bits......I DON'T KNOW!!'..- Tony Morris.
I remembered ever time my Nana who visited from England telling me l would never grow up in this system of things ..l am 57 and she is dead …it’s not coming
Maybe I passed out, stinking drunk, in a ditch........or maybe I passed out, in a garbage can...........I don't know!!
I know. I had sons 1 and 2 years old and a circuit overseer told me they would never go to school in this system. That would have been 1971 or 2 we were just getting interested. We were suckers but we met some some really nice people
This outrages the ever living daylights out of me. 😖😡🤯He blowing off the sacrifices people made and topping it off saying they were guilty for thinking this way. Yet you can look in their own publications where they were not only encourage to have that mentality, but we’re commended for it, big time. You cannot get any worse than these current governing boobies. These idiots need to be exposed worldwide for the harm they have, and still do dish out.🤬
1975 was approaching. Don't go to college you will become an Atheist. Pioneer instead. Thanks a lot guys!😳
This man, Tony Morris, is cynical. He makes fun of people, what a shame.
Does anyone know what book he’s reading from at the end where He’s reading ‘What future for the young’?
Its like he has never heard of Fred Franz.
To admit they were wrong is to admit they're false prophets and and the consequences thereof
When false prophecy happens - blame the people who believed it
